try this rom ---> creed's rom 2.0

HYBRID 4.0

I have tried Creed v2.5, Creed Fusion 3.2, Hybrid 4 and Repencis v3.
I have to say Repencis rules over these.. amazing performance.

All ROMs are almost same in performance...but differs in theme and styles. Its your choice to decide among them.

try one by one and choose your self

I agree!!!!

from my personal opinion based on my experiences:
WeUI v1 & 2-
Pros: Best UI i've seen so far
Cons: Lots of memory hogging apps, no stock dialer, no stock mms.apk, lots of bugs
Repencis v3 (my current ROM)-
Pros: Most professionally built ROM (in my opinion) (most customizable)
Cons: not 100% stable, im having issues with my a2sd when i have 250+ user and system apps
Creeds v2.1-
Pros: Excellent memory management, easily customizable, 1st ICS themed ROM for SGY this was i think the core of most newly built ROMs
Cons: I really dont know, i sticked with this ROM and made so many modifications for 2 months
Creeds v3.5
Pros: I dont know, flashed once but did not like UI
Cons: Dunno

why does hybrid seem so under rated

my opinion for hybrid:
Hybrid v2:
Pros: Superfast, amazing memory management, easily customizable (made 1 theme for this, probably was the 1st theme for hybrid)
Cons: Near to stock UI, only LP sense was customized
never tried v4 though

go for repencis (rock)

Try Repencis v2.5. Lite, fast and customizable. Better than v3 in my opinion.

P.S: Don't forget to add V6 Supercharger too. Your device will go zoom zoom zoom!

repencis is ok, its highly customizable, but the problem is its compatibility with certain kernels, like merruk kernel does not work for repencis v3 and also the update scripts only works with stock recovery

Hhmn got into repencis now I must say it looks nice lol.. Btw, even meruk pre final 2 not working for repencis 3 too?

[Q] What ROM do you use on your Desire?

Hi everyone,
Any suggestions for ROMs to try out on my Desire?
I've run both cyanogen and MIUI and I like them both... but trying some more out would be fun too.
A link to any suggested ROMs would also be appreciated.
Oxygen 2.3.1 with GO Launcher EX. (GB 2.3.7)
http://forum.oxygen.im/viewforum.php?id=7
for trackball wakeup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063578
I'm Using Oxygen for a long time now.
even thought it isn't heavily customizeable as the CM7,
it has enough feature as setCPU, power widgets on top...
but! the main feature is speed. it's working extremely smooth, and latest gingerbread.
i love it.
I've used and tried a lot of roms for both AOSP and Sense. I do prefer AOSP. I used to use CM7 but I use MIUI now. Want keen on other AOSP roms.
Punched in..
At the moment I´m testing between Revolution 1.7 and Runny 3.x
Revolution seems stable, but sense 3.5 looks good.

Looks interesting, I'll give it a try. I find MIUI very smooth too, and the battery life is also great.
I dont think you even need to guess what ROM I use
I'm using this sense 3.5 candy.
Stock GB by Neophyte. And I'm through with constant flashing. I had enough of that nice big cup of bugs.
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using XDA App.
GingerVillain 3.3 (aosp), RT's 3.1 HAVS kernel, Go Launcher Ex.
Smooth, stable, no lags or fc's, good battery life, launcher is highly customizable. Keep trying Sense rom's (3.0 and 3.5) but always come back to this
Cyanogen 7.1 and I love it.
Insertcoin Sense 1.1.3..
...although I'm getting tempted by Sense 3.5 Roms.
I use Redux 2 . Clean, fast, stable.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
AOSP ROMs are the best for me (IMHO, sense roms are too overloaded) and there it's currently rootSU's dGB rom which is the best for me. Smooth (smoothest AOSP ever used), clean (uses only 60 MB of /system), stable and very nice battery life with ManU 1.4 (kernel)vipermod (for lowering CPU voltage) and setcpu (for controlling cpu frequencies).
But maybe I will test redux in the near future, because it was my first AOSP rom and I liked it very much. However, dGB hasn't given me any reason to this yet.
I thought you'd gone to cm7.1?

I'm using this one as well, currently version 3.6. Fast and stable, only minor bugs, looking forward to 4.0 w/ wifi fixed! Wish it had Google CarMode preinstalled though, can't get it running. And hope the bootlogo gets changed, that jingle is annoying.

pikachu edition?? Where to find that plz??
Well plz add official MIUI on your list. Using 2.2.10 MIUI on my defy+ and loving it (except from the 88% charging issue). Also tried other MIUI releases but the official one seems to have less bugs and no force-close problems

Running WIUI v4 ICS (Android 4.0.3).
To be honest not the fastest or most responsive, at least compared to CM7 but I really like the "feel" of this rom and will most likely stay with this one for a while.
Flash happy at the moment trying out all the different developers hard work.
Just wondering if the popularity of some roms is related to the ease of download??
Through Rom Manager for example rather than a file sharing site with poor download speeds...
Just a thought..
MIUI 2.3.9 (stable & consumes less battery than 2.3.16 & not much noticeable bugs)
OMG you didn't put any MIUI categories....are you part of cgm-ninja group up to destroy our little miui universe?
....ok...a little too much right? let me take my pill....ahm..yeah..thats better....

Vote for your top custom ROM here!

Love the looks of WeUI? Or the performance of Creeds ROM? Or the liteness of Hybrid ROM? Don't like any of these 3? Love Repencis? Or just wanna stick to stock? Vote for your top custom ROM here!
If you're gonna post below instead of voting, then please mention the ROM and the version too!
It would be great if you include additional information too, like the normal RAM usage, or the tweaks you're using.
my sig says it all
Repencis!! xD
I'm jumped to Repencis only for Kill3D's theme and A2SD. But the performance was a bonus. Now with DroidWall and performance improvements, its better than ever. \m/
Add option for stock rom too!
kindly add creed's rom 2.0
Chobits v1.8 ftw the best in performance with very less battery consumption when combined with Merruk prefinal 2.0..Ive tried all ROMs except creed v3 but none matched CB 1.8 and cyan theme is awesome!

Chobits 1.8 User
I'm in a merruk kernel and Chobits 1.8 combination.
Got a hard time making both work without any hitch but after succesfully using both, i am a very satisfied user!
Chobits 1.8 is no doubt really great along with merruk kernel 2.0. Now, time to finally settle on one rom!

For editing the poll and adding new entries since you didnt add all the ROMs, ask head admin for poll editing...
Just a suggestion though, a lot of Roms have versions like
Creeds 2.0,2.1,2.5,3.0,3.1,3.2 = CREEDS
Why not just name it Creeds and the user can just reply what version
-purpose of that is to generalize the threads in what rom is the most famous and what not
Murek 2.0 + ChobitsDigitalis 1.8 = Awesome!
Creeds rom v2
FTW~

Good Rom n kernel for Xperia Arc...

Hi everyone,
My friend have a Xperia Arc running ICS...
He want to install a custom rom on his phone as the stock rom is laggy, slow due to low ram..
He asked me to do it for him as he don't know much about rooting, custom roms, etc
I don't know much about the Xperia Arc custom roms n kernels as I don't own it...
So plz suggest some good roms n kernels...
Priorities..
- Smooth, fast n lite..
- Reasonable battery life
- Good amount of free RAM
Use ice cream pureness rom with advanced stock kernel or arc night kernel ..
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using Tapatalk 2
I'm using Cyanogenmod 9 its quite impressive but doesn't have hdmi support.
Arconium 4.0 & XArc kernel. Best performance and battery life
Arconium is very good ROM, i always have 100+ MB free ram and its not laggy. Im using Arc Knight kernel, but its not very good for battery life i will change it soon...
Jelly Sandwich + XArc kernel = as fast as Arconium.

Best ROM
If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.
Regards,

What Rom you prefere and why?

I am on on Omega v10 Rom with KERNEL Note2Core OC version and is the best for my.
8160 score in quadrant with this kenel:good:and setcpu is on performance.
But i dont have tried any other costom roms.
Personally I always use Wanamlite roms by Wanam. I used them in s3 also. I retain the stock feel.
They have all the tweaks I need and full support by a great dev.

I'm on Omega v10 with Perseus kernel. I chose Omega because of I find it reliable and there's a lot more people using it so bugs, if any, are reported quicker and development always seems to be going along. And I use the Perseus kernel because it gives excellent battery life and has a fix for the SDS.
Sent from the Rabbit Hole
I use the Perseus kernel before but i am a fun of benchmarks and with Perseus on 1.8Gh i got only 7200 in quadrant now with Note2Core i got over 8000 and i have undervoltage so the battery is ok for now.
For those who want transparent Rom just instal Phoenix Rom it has 0-25-50-75-100 transparent mod + many other tweaks.
I have tried :good:
Lol, stock ROM, only stock ROM, forever.
Why? I hate buggy stuffs.
Swyped from my GT-N7100
I like the pure Google stock Android, hence why I have a nexus. If using a non-nexus, then Cyanogenmod.

Stok Rom is ok but costom is better for ,,my''
Many tweaks.
Using omega v10 with red pill kernel , excellent battery and performance. Also used paranoid android darkness unofficial port but it had a lot of force closes , also used crisko rom which was good but slower development. Using this along with camera from 4.2 as well as keyboard and jelly bean rom theme. Don't want to loose s pen functionality and tw features

I rooted and installed Omega 9.1 and the perseus kernel at the time, and I've since upgraded to Omega 10.
Reasons, Omega Is a feature packed heavily tweaked under the bonnet "stock type" rom. So you get all the functionality and more. Its also based on the most up to date android and it has a kitchen app on the play store and im a sucker for a kitchen app! Theres also lots of compatible mods for it too such as themes and bootanimations etc etc. Support over in the main thread seems ok and the dev "indie" seems to know what hes doing.
I like the Perseus kernel because it gives longer battery life than stock and it comes with stweaks app which is a kernel specific app. I only like to use it for the audio tweaks as it directly manipulates the wolfson dac we are lucky to have in our Note 2's and you can get some fantastic sound if you know what your doing.
The Omega Rom has also been featured on Youtube quite a lot recently
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Now i test CRASH Rom v4.3 with Scamus theme it lock very very nice:good:
Kenel Note2Core V2.21,V3 is very laggy.
Quadrant 7280 on OC 1.8 less then Omega 7860 but is nice rom
Wanamlite, and stock kernel and tweaked with Pimp My Rom. Awesome battery life!
Omega v14 with stock kernel. I was actually satisfied with the stock rom, except with some minor annoyances which are fixed in Omega (long delay after the call ends, the ugly implementation of the increasing ringtone, no call ecording, toggle buttons scroll, etc.), plus it comes with tons of customizable settings. I will probably try perseus kernel as well.
