I was running gedeROM with Hash's #7 kernel flawlessly. I had heard that some were having issues with the white flicker when unlocking the screen. I never experienced that. Last night I flashed #8 kernel still sticking with gedeROM and I too now have the white flash/flicker when unlocking the screen. Is anyone experiencing this with the new Kernel? If yes or no what ROM are you using?
EDIT: I noticed gedeROM was updated 4-28. I'll grab that and see if it fixes my issue.
Im running the newest gedeRom with #8 and mine flickers. But honestly of all the bugs it could have its the lowest on my worried about list.

Twice in the last like 4 days or so, my screen ended out freezing and the colors all of a sudden were really bright.
Anyone know what may be the cause?
I'm running Nebula ROM 1.0.6 and the Gingerbread theme 1.8.5.
It's not a really a big deal to me, but I'm just curious to see if anyone has had this problem.
I am on Nebula 1.0.7 and mine seems to freeze overnight while charging. I get blue led indicating charging complete, and the menu/back/home/search buttons are illuminated.
I used to get occasional freezes like that on stock dk28 as well.
I am running Nebula 1.0.7 and random things just started FCing making my phone impossible to use. I just did 3 more factory resets and cache wipes and it worked like a charm.
I'm on nebula rom 1.07 and don't have any problems. You could make your system unstable if you flash a theme or a mod

I apologize if there is any easy fix for this or if there's already a thread, but I just recently started having this issue for about a week. Sometimes, when I turn on the screen it will quickly light up to the lock screen, but then turn blank right after; before I even get a chance to unlock the phone. The capacative buttons will completely stay light up and when I press them they vibrate so I assume the screen is still active.
Is this a common issue and is there an easy fix? I'm running the latest CM7 nightly build 258. I don't think that's the issue though because I just upgraded it today and before I hadn't upgraded the Nighly Build ROM in a couple weeks. I upgraded it today just to see if there was something wrong with that build.

Restore your previous ROM save

Are you using a custom kernel. If so are you under / overclocking or over / undervolting?
Nope. I'm running whatever kernel comes with the ROM and no undervolting or overclocking either.
Anyone....?
Have you done a restore?
I would try wiping dalvik-cache and the cache partition. If that dosent work i would wipe everything and do a fresh install of a different rom to determine weather it is rom related or hardware related.
I have a KF, my wife uses it with CM7 and loves it.
I see that there are now stable ICS versions, and reading through various threads, I'm considering the [ROM][4/29/12] AOKP KF Edition Milestone 5. I have AOKP on my Samsung phone and really like it.
Anyone have any experience with it?
Also does it contain the newest kernel everyone is talking about, v.3, or does that have to be installed separately?
Funny, I went from from TWRP to KF a month ago as I figured that's the way everyone was going, and there was the new touch version. Now it seems I have to go back to TWRP in order to install this ROM.
I'm using it right now. It seems stable to me! I haven't ran into any problems so far. Mounting and AC charging work fine (though the battery animation didn't show it on the notification bar, the LED light shows it normally). And to properly switch off you have hold the power button rather than shutdown through the OS.
I'm reading, browsing and redditing perfectly smoothly.
Works awesome! It's the first ROM I've tried that JustWorks(c)
I was having issues with several others, and from install to boot to configure everything went smoothly.
I followed these instructions:

Thanks to all involved!

Are you having any WiFi connecting problems? I am using gedeROM and wifi disconnects every 10 minutes and then I have to go back into settings for it to connect again so I was wondering if there were any similar issues with AOKP.

I had the gede and it had wifi problems.
AOKP wifi works flawlessly for me.
I just flashed it today coming from gedesrom and I am very impressed. Better battery life and it charges on the AC charger faster. I do run into a few trebuchet force closes every now and then, but for the most part I'd say its the most stable.

Yup! I got on board with the previous version, build 34, which did not contain the latest Hashcode kernel, but it was no problem flashing it on top. Worked pretty good.
And I just flashed this new version, Milestone 5, on top of the previous build without wiping data (just cache/dalvik). Works like a charm.
Also does it contain the newest kernel everyone is talking about, v.3, or does that have to be installed separately?

Yes. Milestone 5 has the absolutely latest Hashcode kernel, and it runs very smooth. And I like some of the tweeks and custom options in this ROM.
I have not had any crashes or problems so far. Recommended.
I've tried both gedeROM and AOKP milestone 5. Both work great, but gedeROM seemed to have cleaner graphics, AOKPs icons in the notification area seemed funky. They would overlap or be off on one side.
One more thing, and this could be more of a kernel issue, is that the Hulu app gives a "Device not supported" error for both of those ROM. Hulu did work with CM7.

Nope, never had a problem with Wi-Fi on either aokp or reloaded.
I have a problem that I can't seem to figure out. It started when I first tried the SOS rom with Lionfish. At first everything on my evo was running amazingly smooth. Then out of nowhere My phone started lagging like crazy. Sometimes my screen would take forever to wake up after I pressed the power button. The capacative buttons would light up but the screen would take a few seconds to come on. Sometimes it wouldn't come on at all. I decided to just wipe and try Synergy rom (my current rom) which is supposedly very reliable. After a few days the same exact problems started occuring again. I'm wondering if Lionfish is the issue? Has anyone had a similiar experience? Any help would be much appreciated.
Lionfish is undervolted. Just flash a stock kernel and troubleshoot yourself. Not all phones handle undervolting the same.

Ok, I'll try and see if that works.
Hi all, I thought I'd share my experience. Without going into too much background, I had been running an FB21 stock ROM since it was leaked, and only had a few minor issues that didn't keep me from using it as a daily driver. Wanting to flash CM9 Alpha, but not having time to do it made me wait until Alpha 5.
I flashed Alpha 5 and started getting sleep of death issues (phone wouldn't wake and would get very warm). I thought it was CM9, so I switched to AOKP to experience the same thing. Switched over to Paranoid Android and still had the issue. On over to Caulk's 1.6 (loved his GB ROMs) and still Sleep of Death.
Feeling that it may be a non-stock issue, I flashed the stock leak of FF11. No joy. Then, I felt it may be 4.0.4, since that version caused the sleep of death on my Transformer TF101 (which reverted back to 4.0.3 to fix). I tried both Caulk's 1.5, and a stock FD26. Still had sleep of death.
I then thought it may be the modem because the SOD seemed to present itself when signal was low (common in my area). I ran CM9, Alpha 5 with the EL29 modem. Again, no luck.
Finally, I tried running Alpha 5 with the Rogue 1.2.1 rev2 kernel (based off FB21). The phone was immediately quicker in its response, screen comes on almost instantly, and I've yet to experience a sleep of death. I've even gone on a road trip to some no-service areas, which caused SOD without fail. My phone wakes with no hesitation.
I'm not sure if a later kernel will work for those experiencing SOD, but I found something that works for me and well enough to be a daily driver.
Maybe you should try using odin to go back to el29 stock everything you were switching to are leaked builds go back to what you know works first then go from there.

Did that, just left it out of the OP since I didn't want to get too detailed beyond what wasn't working.
One more recent tidbit. Phone is working great now, but the EL29 modem had always caused me a phantom LoS (bars showed, but wouldn't send out calls/texts). Still gave me that issue with the CM9 ROM and FB21 kernel. Flashed the FF11 modem and it seems to be working great.
It might be your hardware.
