Hi,
Apologies if this is redundant, but I haven't been able to find anything other than ad hoc networking should be working. . . .
However, for whatever reason it isn't on my system.
I've wiped everything, done a clean install and no luck.
Is anyone in the same boat/come up with a solution?
Thanks,
Chris

Is it possible that the rom has a built-in ad blocker with an out of date host file? The reason I ask is because that is the primary reason of slow internet with several roms. The fix is simple. Download & install the adfree app from the market. Fire it up and either select revert (to see ads) or update hosts (no ads) and then reboot your device. You should be good to go after that, if that is the problem.
Hi.
I have the latest leedroid rom with the latest radio.
I have an unlimited cellular internet that works great on the cell phone itself.
When I try to use it as a hotspot I can only connect to Gmail from my computer. All the other sites show me a http denial message.
I read somewhere else in the forums that someone had a similar problem so he flashed the rom again but without any of the apps. I did the same and it worked like a charm. He then reinstalled the apps and it kept on working. I tried it and it stopped.
Before I try the very annoying attempt of uninstalling app by app until it starts working, I'd like to ask if anyone knows of some apps that cause this problem.
I was thinking of things like the AVG or viber/whatsapp. Meaning apps that keep working all the time in the background and use the internet.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fixed!
as it seems, some of the user data files stored in the titanium backup was the cause of it. I can't tell which one but when I flashed the ROM again after a full wipe and factory reset it worked great. I then restored only the data files and the problem repeated so I reflashed it with the wipe and factory reset and restored all the apps but non of the data files and it is working great!
I've never had this problem. But in my errors when trying to start up wifi tether I get setting ad-hoc mode fail? wtf.
baseband: S710.10S.FD24
kernel version:3.0.15-SPH-D710.FB27-CL 190095
build number: IML74K.FD24
On rogues recovery1.2.2 (v5.0.2.8)
Thanks in advance...
Try to clear cache and reboot. If that does not work then uninstall it and try again.
I've tried clearing cache... rebooted and nothing. I did that long ago. When you say uninstall, you mean the wifi tether or the rom? cause iv'e tried multiple tether apps.. uninstalling, re installing and nothing seems to work. Thanks for your reply.
This sounds rom setup related. Which rom are you having trouble with this?

I take it your trying to use another Android device (tablet?) to connect to your phone?
If not & your trying to use a device with a windows based os you can simply use FoxFi to use your phone as a wifi hotspot.
I'm unrooted & use this application on my phone to connect my laptop & windows based tablet. It's not listed on the Market (at least not for my unrooted phone) so I had to pull it from the Aptoid Respository.

It's a free app so I'll upload it here:
Hello, I have a problem again .
My wifi clear my access points after reboot system.
I change rom and wipe dalvik cache but this problem returning ever.
Some idea for fix?
You could try disabling Google backup if you have it enabled, it has given similar problems to some people on other devices.
Works thanks
hi Guys. today, after I had already restored them via adb, all my wifi accesses were deleted. has a ne solution, or does one know what the cause is?
