Have tried two ICS roms and have erratic touch performance. I'm assuming everyone else has similar? Kernel 3 issue?
I ask as I haven't seen this as a bug.
Very impressive though

EDIT: Probably fixed. Looks like switching to the "on demand" scheduler (or something else I did) has restored performance, at least after playing with it for a couple of minutes. Leaving this here for now in case it helps someone slightly.
Hey guys, I apologize in advance if this has been discussed, but I haven't found anything through doing some searches.
I started noticing intermittent slowdowns during gameplay on my Xperia Play during FPSE. I figured it was something to do with performance being sketchy on Final Fantasy IX anyway.
Then the weird part - I started noticing this same slowdown playing Pokemon Silver on GBA A.D. I have never experienced any lag even playing on my old Optimus V. So I'm thinking this is kind of strange.
The interesting thing is that I'm able to end the slowdown by pressing the menu key and then going back to the game.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems like this. I believe I didn't have the problem when I was on GB.
Currently, this is my setup:
ICS++
DoomKernel
OC to 1.6 Ghz (I reverted it to stock levels when I noticed this problem to see if there was instability - it hasn't helped).
brazillianwax scheduler (I'm going to play around with this and see what happens)
I've uninstalled some nasty background-sucking apps like Facebook to see if that will help, but it looks like that didn't do anything. I also cleared the current running programs, again not doing much of anything.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I might go try some other ROMS perhaps, like Darkforest or even going back to GB. I would prefer not to go back to GB because of how N64oid has analog touch controls working in ICS only. If anyone knows if it's possible to go back to GB while preserving analog touch controls in N64oid and FPSE that would be really good.
After searching the forum (although I obviously may have missed it), it seems like I may be the only one experiencing this issue.
I have tried several different ROMs for my EVO 4G, but I'm partial to CyanogenMod mostly due to battery life.
However, when running CyanogenMod 7 (or its derivative such as the Gingerbread EVO Deck 1.3), I am experiencing VERY frequent system freezes that either restart the phone itself or require a battery pull.
I've tried to use CatLog to catch it in the act, but I haven't been able to reproduce it while CatLog is recording.
These freezes happen SEVERAL times a day and seemingly random times. It usually occurs shortly after launching an app, whether a game or otherwise.
So my question is this:
Has anyone else experienced this with CM7-based ROMs? If so (or not), do you have any suggestions on how to track down the culprit(s) and/or fix the issue?
EDIT: I am currently running Tiamat Kernel 4.1.0-sbc. I'm going to try flashing the non-sbc kernel since I saw that some mentioned the sbc was causing freezes.
So, since the day that i got my xperia play i've been noticing a really annoying input delay. I'm a fighter player, and like to speed run sometimes, so delays are realy easy to notice for me.
I've already tried all kinds of roms and stuff and the delay is always there. Someone here have the same problem? Someone know a fix for this?
I was thinking about running my phone on a 480p kernel, but I'm not sure if the input delay is caused by the screen and its resolution.
Helo have you tried this ROM, it runs very smooth and fast to me, my max benchmark score is 7652 which is very good for xperia play

Hi Morning Folks,
I've recently started experiencing some weird lag when typing on the keyboard whereby I will type something and it won't appear instantly, maybe a second after I start typing and then for every word afterwards. I've tried to check what apps I've installed recently that may have caused this and looked at apps that are currently running that may be causing the lag but can't seem to come up with any solutions.
Does anyone know what I could do to try and fix this? This started happening in the last few days.
EDIT: Installed Swiftkey and it doesn't seem to have this same issue but I prefer the Sense keyboard so would like to get this fixed. Really can't see what's causing it.
Never experienced keyboard lag on the M8

I know what you talking about it is very annoying with that laggy keyboard but when you disable the power saving mode the lag seems to be away. In my opinion it is related to the limited cpu clock and the governor. Probably it would fix the problem if you change the kernel or change the governor.
I used swiftkey for a while, but I've returned to stock quickly. It's super fast like everything on m8

I know I'm late, but if you're still having this issue, try disabling word prediction.

Sense 7 keyboard has lag... It is just crappy generally... The older sense 6 keyboard works a lot better without any lag or any other keyboard
Hi everybody, I have a little question about some issues with touch screen response in Real Racing 3. When I play it and tap for braking, display quite often doesn't respond to my touch which is pretty annoying after playing for short time.
I found also another person with pretty similar issue, but with Nexus 7:

I know that Tab Pro 8.4 had some issues with over-sensitive touch screen, but I don't have those issues during normal usage like web browsing.
So I would like to know if anybody has the same issue in Real Racing 3 - is it bad optimalization or a screen issue?
Thanks in advance for answer.
