How do i know if my phone is s-off or s-on?
Thank you!
Turn your phone off. Hold volume down and power together for a few seconds. You will now get a display which tells you your hboot etc and it will say s-on or s-off. Btw if you have to ask the question its most likely s-on.
Swyped from my CM7.1 Desire using XDA Premium App
Thanks

For warranty purposes, it's not.

I want to flash the ROM following a thread, but it asked me to check radio s-off by going into bootloader, but i dont know how to get into it. plz help me, thx. mine is HD A1919
Turn off your phone completely. Hold volume- button and power on your phone. If you see Ship S-OFF in there, you have radio s-off

Hello there,
To day I'm getting S-OFFed I am sooo happy, but now I have questions.
Is the S-OFF for ever? If I flash with the RUU will it lock my device? Can I unwanted lock it with experimenting with roms?
Thanks a lot

As mentioned in another thread since S-OFF/Unlocking my Wildfire S A510E with my XTC Clip I have performed two full RUU upgrades including hboot and radios.
S-OFF is still there. Perhaps other's results have varied...
Check out my signature to see what I'm up to and still S-OFF.
Hi there i recently decided to root my HTC wildfire but in the process accidently got my HBOOT to 1.02.0000 instead of 1.02.0001, i originally started at 1.02.0002 so can someone point me in the direction to get back to 1.02.0001
Also does factory resetting the phone get the original stock HBOOT back?
The phone is also locked to Tesco (O2 UK)
Need help!!! All help appreciated loads!

Did you htcdev your device to root?
sent from my ice cream sandwich powered HTC WILDFIRE B-)
yes it has been one of the methods i have attempted to root
Tbh mate there is no real reason to go to that boot, it won't give you anything new or useful aside from peace of mind, but, should you still want to try u think you would need to use the htcdev ruu again and lose your rom ect just remember to back up

ok you need to go here and complete the process. http://htcdev.com/ select unlock bootloader. then follow the process untill your bootloader says that its unlocked. then read this thread and it will tell you how to root your phone. god luck man http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439467
Hi guys. I have visited htcdev.com to try to get my HTC wildfire unlocked. However, I am unsure of which carrier to choose from. I am from Singapore. Which carrier should I choose? Please advice.

It might help if you post the info from your bootloader screen. Turn off fast boot in your settings. Hold the volume down button when u turn on the phone. There are several tools in the development forum for this.

You don't need to update HBoot.

I went to update Hboot and followed youtbue turtorials, succesfully unlocked bootloader throught Htcdev.com. But anyway thanks for your help !
I bought a Verizon HTC one today that doesn't fully boot up. It has tampered in the bootloader so I assume the person relocked it.
Question is, is there an RUU for a locked S-on ONE? Is there anyway to unlock the bootloader and reflash anything or is this thing truly a brick? From what I've read the S-off procedure requires the phone to boot up.
Thanks
Todd

there is one but you have to be s-off in order to use it! the reason is that it is an unencrypted or encrypted! i think they will have the ruu when 4.3 officially drops
The RUU you seek can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47693710
