Hello, first of all a very good job!
But I found some bugs ... how can I get a screnshot to show but do not know how ... I have the mobile phone to two days without charging and always with WIFI connected but if I turn off (WIFI) could not stand more than 14 hours ... thanks ...
163 views and no answer ... I want to help but first I need your help ...I've been doing some tests with the baseband 70 and I think that she is injecting a higher voltage in the 3G module and that is why our batteries run out so quickly ...
huh ? if you wish to take 'screen shots', well the app store has something cheap / free for that... but battery drain statistics are built right into the operating system package.
.
hmmm, so if wifi is working, it uses less battery power than the cellular tranciever circuit ? . . . the second circuit is more of a pig ?

I know it's strange but true ... when I have the WiFi turned on, the phone behaves normally and the battery lasts two days but if you turn it off, (baseband70) spent a few hours and the battery starts to heat up and lose 20% per hour ... not strange?

i am sorry but it does not 'sound' normal. i do not think i use that 'baseband70', so i cannot give you comparison data.
.
( way of looking at it ) is the glass half empty, or is the glass half full . . .

Then probably the heat and battery drain is from the bad wifi reception.

Yes agreed the wifi reception is not very good. But about the heat, do you have heat problems when the wifi reception is good ? So that we can know if the heat is connected to the wifi reception problems or not.

This sounds as a faulty P6 unit... Perhaps it's better to use warranty policies and talk with Technical service...
Regards.
i just went to the huawei shop this morning with my 2mnths old p6 with its warranty card...
they said nothing to worry cause its fine and normal... and said its not hot issue.. its just warm which smartphones as normal...

the battery area is on back ryt side... the warm area is on left... just down area of the camera and flash... and the metal area of the power and volume thats the area that keeps warm or hot when im using it.. and it start around 4-5 mins of straight use of cam... chatting, wechat.. fb... skype..
aside from it ... it dsnt affect its speed coz its fast responce and battry last a day smetimes 2days of minimal usage...

Well Skype obviously would cause warm. Thats a heavy usage. And its normal to get warm on that, just as it get warm on games. But chatting on whatsup and such apps, then than its unusual to get warm over that.

Guys, please help . SM211 became randomly shut down . During charging and standby time is working properly , and during the active battery life it off. CPU-Z shows CPU temperature is constantly 80 °, but the body is cold. Tried different kernel and firmware , the result is the same. What could be the problem ?

Greetings aosaid, It sounds like battery problem. Can you tell me which part of the device is heating up?
If you look at the screen , the left side a little heated when I play , it has always been . The battery temperature is normal. Now charging, temperature is 29°.
I did calibrate the battery . The charge keeps well .
If you are rooted, you can download cpu control app to decrease the cpu frequency. See if its working.
Yes, rooted. I limited the CPU frequency up to 1 GHz, it has not helped
Try the following link:
http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-over-heating-fix-working.767904/
http://supportz.com/prevent-your-android-device-from-overheating/
Thanks for the info. But it does not help. The fact that any program displays temperature of processor 80°, always, it is not changed. No matter what I play or tablet is just lying on the table with a minimum of running applications. Even when during the game heats processor that is felt on the case, cpu temperature shows 80 °. It seems that the temperature sensor is not working properly. And the battery is always normal temperature, and shows adequate. I'm not sure that the temperature does matter at all. Yesterday the whole evening I run different applications, played a lot, the tablet never turned off. I want to check there is a dependence on the Connect to the network, wi-fi or 3G.
sounds right, sometime sensor might fail.
Forget about the temperature . I noticed exactly convinced that it is switched off only when I use the data transfer via 3G. When I connected to wi-fi, everything works fine and without chrarging.
sorry for my English, I'm ukrainian
Alright then,
So, nobody can't help?

I have a theory but idk if its proven. If the device got heat up and the sensor tell the system to force shutdown to prevent further damage. Thats what i have thought of. I think if you can get a new battery and see if it works.
still, I carried the phone for repair. the problem was in the connector on the battery. only. repair cost the $ 5. I thank you for your help

I think its normal in normal hot weather conditions. Mine is at 47 right now.
In compare to my device (CM11 by Rox) my idle temp is around 20 C and MAX 45 C after few hours of Thr Room gaming. In GPS routing mounted to the front window of my car and 500 km. of direct sunlight + incar temperature Around 30 C the max that I was saw is 54 C. Please, check the others opinions of others S3 Neo owners, because for me, your temps is high enough!

Strange but i remember once i had the same issue on using net through chrome and i had a pouch like this. I did nothing. I turned off my mobile for few minuts and it was just fine. But in low signals i have never used chrome again. If your phone is doing this continually then may be there is a problem. Then try to use mobile without pouch.
Relax sometimes it happens.

May u should check you battery, because I had a similar issue and recognized yesterday that the battery is bloated. I used it for 9 months, and I think the life expectany of a battery is higher. Just a hint, the phone was always warmer than others also for me.

From the screenshot attached you can see that batery temperature is much lower.
Looking now i see 50°C CPU and 37°C battery.
Also if you still have the phone could you measure the temperature after 5min of light web browsing?
The model is i9301i single sim with the same silicone case. I think the problem is your non bloated software. Do you have high usage of the phone resources? Facebook, twitter or something? What about the rom?

I think your CPU Temp app is a crap. Take a look at attachments. I took them at the same time. But i am using two different apps. And i am just using UC browser and whatsapp right now.
First try another app. If problem doesn't solve then it might be the signal problems.
And right now..... take a look please

Hi guys. My phone is overheating after 2-3 minutes of using whatever i do. Its not only when im playing games, its everytime i use the phone. The upper part of my phone , the parts near the camera and the upper screen are overheating very badly and the battery is always cold. If i'm not using the phone the battery will not decrease but after some minutes of using my battery my battery will decrease very fast . i had an another phone with battery problems and the battery was decreasing instead of using or not but with this phone the problem is because of the overheating when im using it and charging it. The phone was factory reseted but nothing changed. May i resoft it or reset it again or may i go to a service? Sorry for my bad english

hello I had the same problem and the only thing that worked for me is that I used a heat dissipator on the CPU it`s real easy to do you just need to have some experience tearing down the phone
things you need:
1.- tear down the phone and locate the CPU it`s on the back of the motherboard when you open the phone
2.- select on tipe of dissipator because there`s paste and pads and the one that i`ve used are the Pads
I hope it helps, i still have some heating up but it`s way better than before
If no root or custom kernal maybe a rogue app
---------- Post added at 09:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 PM ----------
I second the pads ive always been taught that the paste is good but always a chance that the hotter it gets the paste could slightly liquify and run off. I know its dieelectric but still dont want to chance any kinda liquid on rest of boards
I forgot to tell that the screen was replaced with the warranty before i bought the phone from somebody . Maybe this is the problem? maybe the screen wasn't replaced properly? The screen consume 50% of my battery . Today like 2-3 hours overheating stops but now everything happens again .. Yesterday i factory reseted the phone but it doesn't helped me .. Should i send it back to the service to see if the screen is replaced properly?
PS: It's not rooted
Again try for a rogue app if not then yea probly ure best bet

I have flashed [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][m8qlul] LineageOS 15.1 for HTC One M8s for someone and it is working really great. The only serious issue, which existed on stock years ago, is the main reason they stopped using the phone in the past - sometimes when the phone is off it could take between 5 and 30 minutes of pressing the power button to turn it back on. Sometimes it will turn back on very easily, other times like last night it took nearly 30 minutes, of holding the power button down for various lengths of time ranging from several seconds to more than 90 seconds, with and without volume down or volume up, and it finally normally booted after letting it charge for about 15 minutes to around 75%.
The user remembers in the past that if the battery went completely dead they would have to charge it to 100% or close to it before it would turn on again. They are now trying not to turn it off but if they could rest assured if it does end up off it will turn on again without issue, finding a way to manually apply a security patch if possible, would be all that is stopping this being a viable replacement, and save them having to spend on a new phone.
The back cover gets very hot (not just warm) but this only seems to be when booting.
Have any of you experienced any of this, and is there a fix?
well , do not own the m8s but isnt there a low battery warning built in? (also am not using that rom). or an app that would do the same thing? set warning at whatever batt. % they choose and never have to worry about a completely drained battery and phone turning off.
also , is there possibility of a faulty power button?
are they using a case that wont let heat dissipate?
just some thoughts. good luck with getring a fix.

Thanks for the input. I know I have low battery blinking light set up on my own device with Revenge OS Android 10 but I'm not sure it's on Oreo - I will check and see if there is an app. Even when the screen is on the power button is hit and miss but way less responsive on lower battery. Would eBay be the best place to find a replacement, and perhaps use a YouTube teardown for reference? I want to get them a case as a gift but they don't use one at the moment. Most of the phone (cover? chassis?) is metallic.

for me yes & yes . amazon and youtube for a vid.
there is also a sight https://www.ifixit.com/# , i've never used myself but have seen it referenced alot. i believe they have teardown guides , a community for support , and possibly tools (if needed). not sure about parts.
but those 3 would be my go-tos if there was nothing here on xda.
not sure about cases. surely somewhere on the www is a review of cases if you dont already have one in mind.
stay safe & good luck.
