I have LG nitro HD locked to AT&T, I have cyanogenmod ROM. I do have unlock code.
I'm trying to carrier unlock, but when I insert "not accepted" SIM card it doesn't ask for unlock code.
So I try the other method - dial 2945#*930# and nothing happens.
What can I do?

Guys I'm over in Europe and attempting to use a vodaphone SIM, I'm running NRG's ROM and radio 4.49.25.17.
T-Mobile had kindly provided the SIM unlock code for my TP2 prior to my trip but when I put in the Vodaphone SIM it doesn't prompt me for an unlock code?
Do I need to manually enter it somewhere?
I think its supposed to prompt you with a screen asking for the code, make sure the Vodafone sim is properly inserted and if that doesn't work you can try looking up the phones engineering mode.
Is the device booting into Windows Mobile & usable with the other SIM card installed? Where did you buy it? Sounds like it may be unlocked already. Anytime I put the wrong SIM in a locked device, on boot up I would get a message for the unlock code & device was unusable, would not progress past this screen. You had to either enter the unlock code or reset & remove the SIM card.
First, check if your device is unlocked by going to Start>Settings>System>Device Info and on one of the tabs, it should say unlocked somewhere. Or, you can check it by downloading ATCommander onto your device and entering [email protected]?40 into ATCommander. It should return 0 if you're unlocked. If it returns 1, you're SIM locked.
Now, if you are still locked, try flashing the Stock Tmobile USA ROM, and insert the Vodafone SIM then. Hopefully, a dialog should come up with an area to enter you unlock code. On the Kaiser, you supposedly had to be running the stock AT&T ROM in order to get the dialog unlock the device with an unlock code. Hopefully that will work. If not, TMobile tech support could probably answer this. Hope that helps
hello just wondering if there is a easy and free way to unlock a sim locked phone .it dosent ask for sim unlock code or anything but just says "emergency calls only "no matter which sim you use
Hey guys I was hoping you could help me out. I bought an unlock code for my htc m9 t-mobile variant but It will not let me simply just enter the unlock code. I put an at&t sim card and it took me to this screen (see attachment)
I tried disabling the app, booting in safe mode... nothing works. It doesn't prompt me to enter the unlock code I purchased. It forces me to go through the t-mobile app. Any ideas? Much appreciated!
Yep switch off, remove your sim, insert the sim for the new/different network, reboot and follow instructions very simple
Facing the same issue... Even after switching off, and booting back with a different netwrok's SIM, I'm getting the same response. The LG G2 had a manual way of entering the unlock code by going into service settings screen. Does anything like that exist for HTC?
You have to flash an international based rom, enter the code then flash the T-Mobile rom back.

My LGG3 is locked to Videotron. The code they gave me is correct. I've done the last update and keep trying but get the same Network unlock request unsuccessful. I am afraid to permanently lock my phone and have paid 2 x for the code. Am I doing something: wrong?
Bought a D851 and when I go to SIM unlock process and I tap Service Provider Lock I get a message "Your phone is not personalized." Will a custom ROM carrier unlock a phone? I can enter a SIM network unlock PIN however.
No. You would still have to get it unlocked by T-Mobile.
