Well since my ICS "un"official update wasn't working I decided to flash back the original ROM and now the device is not recognized on either flashtool or PC companion. What can I do?! Desperate as I don't know what to do!!!

Are you able to get into service mode or fastboot?
For each take out the battery for ~5 seconds and then reinsert, then either hold
back key - service mode
menu key - fastboot
While inserting the usb lead.
It does get into flash mode but then it's not recognized by the flash tool.
When I try to do the fastboot mode it shows the Sony Ericsson logo and then it appears the thing on the pic that I've posted.
If I try to flash it does this:
17/006/2012 21:06:06 - INFO - Selected arc s LT18e_2.3.4_TMN.ftf

What do you mean? Sorry I'm really a noob! (Yes I shouldn't have done this without the skills)
Hmmm I don't have my USB with me to try a few things so ill have to go off the top of my head, how did you downgrade? flashtool?
I beleive Omnius offers some repair options, I would take a look into that.
Are you using arc or arc s?

Arc S
Yes I've been using FlashTool 0.7.0.0 and aparently it did the downgrade because now it appears the Sony Ericsson instead of the ICS Sony logo.
Recaping:
When I turn on the phone it shows the Sony Ericsson logo and then it appears the symbol that i've posted on the picture.
As soon as plug in the usb cable the phone enters into flashmode but it doesnt flash - it says:
"17/022/2012 21:22:53 - INFO - Selected arc s LT18e_2.3.4_TMN.ftf

I cannot put the phone on fastboot mode as it does the same as if I was turning it on.
I really dont know what to do next! Can it be bricked? Is it repairable? Should I got to the store for the warranty?
Omnius?
Thanks for the help guys!
Check out omnius - see if it can detect your phone you have to sign up but its worth a shot.

I haven't used flashtool before, so I can't really offer any guidance on it. However I believe the ICS update changed the partitions, have you tried reflashing ICS?
When you are going to downgrade to 2.3.4 you shouldn't un-check the last box.
If so, try flashing it again.
Well in my despair I tried the oldie SE Update Service and it recognized my device and repair it! It's now working with the original firmware!
Now I think I'll leave the flashing and stuff for you PROFESSIONAL guys out there!
Thank youuuuuuu sooooo much for all your replies!!! THANK YOU!

Hello guys,
Searched for this problem but couldn't get it in any threads...
I own a Xperia Arc-LT15i, rooted using Flashtool and bootloader unlocked.
Recently flashed CyanogenMod stable version...
Seems to be far better than the stock ROM but I find that some apps like 3D camera and International keyboard apps are missing...I really need those.
Did a search to install those apps from my nandroid backup to /system/app folder but that didn't work...
Tried using flashtool to install the apk files but even that failed...
So, I want to go back to my stock ROM(2.3.4- .42 firmware)...
When I try to flash ftf file thru flashtool, it didn't work and later I got to know that I ll have to install the KERNEL.SIN file first....But How TO INSTALL KERNEL.SIN file over my existing ROM?
Please gimme the instructions(if possible with images).
I tried to following the method given in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352830
but I got a error saying DRIVERS NEED TO BE INSTALLED FOR CONNECTED DEVICES(IMAGE ATTACHED)...I installed drivers using the exe file given in flashtool but didn't work.

PLEASE HELP ME REG. THIS OR I WOULD BE HIGHLY SATISFIED IF I CAN INSTALL THOSE APK FILES IN CYANOGENMOD .
Thank you
Make sure you have the latest SE drivers installed on your machine.. No need to flash the .sin file. When u use .ftf file through Flashtool, it replaces the kernel alongwith the rom.. Install the latest drivers and try flashing it again..
All d best.

Tried WotanServer...As soon as I put my phone in flashmode, PC hangs...same is the case with flashtool and SEUS or PC companion...
I guess it should be the problem with drivers...but what could be the solution??
Should i try in some other PC/laptop?
Hey use Sony update service..connect your phone to that and update it will load .sin file..stock rom+kernal try it
Download. The update service app.i have it..but don't h have the link

Any other method?
I read in some thread that it might be the problem with the drivers..but no body has told how to resolve..One option cud be to do the same in some other System...
Do this, go to the flashtool folder and install the drivers provided
The arc, fastboot, and adb ones
Download an ftf file and flash via flashtool
No kernel.sin needed
Just download the .42 firmware and flash it
Install the drivers tho !
Its in C:\Flashtool\drivers
reboot and then flash
HEY GUYS...
Figured out the problem....
It was reg. the drivers only...When you install CyanogenMod, you have to install S1 boot drivers and that messes up everything when you try to install any other driver next time...
I HAD TO FLASH THE .42 FTF FILE IN MY LAPTOP...So, clearly the problem was with the system and the drivers...
But I had downloaded ARC drivers from SE website and installed ..Dunno why still the problem was there...LEMME KNOW IF U FIND OUT...
Thanks for all your help...
I had thought it to be a problem with flashtool but turned out the other way...
Good day....

Perfect guide for rooting U.K. Three Xperia Arc LT18i 4.1.L.0.8 only...
Rooting your mobile may void the warranty and you are doing it at your own risk. Sony would be in no way responsible for any damage...
Go to settings > Security > Mark "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
================================================== ==================================================
You should have
Flashtool
http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
------Download------
1 ) Arc S - Kernel
http://www.4shared.com/file/qNTvdPI6/Lt18i_41A0562_Kernel.html
2) Go to C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares > delete everything present and Put the kernel
3) Run Flashtool click on the flashing icon ( left side below "file" option)
Select flashmode > ok
Setup should be like this > select OK
Follow the steps connect your mobile and flash.
Flashtool may show error after flashing kernel, no worries. Even your build number, android version won't change. Everything would remain same. So please don't go to phone settings to check anything
4) After flashing restart your device, It may not start completely, may remain at Sony logo or blank/black.
Whatever the status is, just restart your device and proceed with the rooting--->
( Make sure you close flashtool before running the rooting toolkit )
Now connect your mobile to PC and Root Your Phone
If you face problem in downloading the toolkit then here it is

This document shows how solve problem "cannot connect to the camera" after ROOT Huawei G510-0010 with B165 boot.img.
1 - Requeriments:
- Download Google adb-toolkit - http://www.adbtoolkit.com/
- Download boot.img, better if you use same version of your firmware (mine is B182)
You can find firmware version on Settings -> About Phone
http://www.toplinetec.com.br/pub/other/boot_g510_B182.zip
2 - Connection with PC
- Install ADB drivers for your device on PC.
- On device, disable Settings -> Fast Boot
- Turn off device, wait some seconds, turn on again pushing volume down and start button for 10 seconds and connect to USB.
- Unzip files to C:\, go Windows Prompt (CMD), and follow next commands:
- cd\adb-toolkit\bin\files
- fastboot devices (if return a code in next line, is because your device is connected)
- fastboot flash boot c:\boot.img
- fastboot reboot
The whole process should look something like this in your CMD:

I don't know exactly, but did you ulnlock boot loader before ?
Is a good option to start.
Follow these steps:
1 - See entire model behind phone battery: G510- (0010, 0100 or 0200).
2 - Request unlock code for Huawei
huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=toApplyUnlock
If you phone is 0010, you'll need to find chinese site for this.
3 - Apply code
huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=getUnlockStep
PS: put www before links, because I can't post.
Solved
Hi again!
Yes you was right, the problem was that i didnt unlock the boot loader. I found some problems for do that.
The problem was that they don't have the 0010 model listed in their site and, a chinese site for ask it dosen't exists (I've gone crazy looking for it :crying: :crying
I had to send an email directly to Huawei support channel whit the mobile data (IMEI, S/N, model, ...). They answered me in 48h more or less with the unlock code.
And after that all was perfect. :highfive: :highfive:
