Looks like it's this one, but can't seem to find the black version, the one that is in black on the site doesn't have the cut out for the docking points.

Is it thick enough so the camera lens isn't touching anything it lies on?........looks from the pic that if laid on its back the lens may be flat on the surface it sits on?
I was looking was looking for the docking port cut out myself, until i released you most like cannot use it with a cover on anyway, cut out or not.

Tons of those on eBay, search for "one x cover s line". I've ordered 3 different cases, all hard. Don't really like those silicone ones..
I always buy gel cases, the silicone ones are a nightmare for collecting dust and fluff.
I would not have a hard case, as it gives no shock protection when you drop the phone, it does not absorb some of the impact as gel or silicone does.

Just checked it out, and yes it is thick enough to NOT let the camera touch anything when its back is on a desk or whatever.
I have the exact same case on my galaxy nexus. It is pretty good for the price. However, im passing on this one since it doesnt protect the camera part.

edit: they probably couldn't put the kickstand on the other side because the screws for the hinge will hit the micro-usb charge port

I installed the one from repairuniverse and it seems to be OEM in all ways but one. The kickstand does not seem to have the transparent coating that the original did. This is a good thing in my opinion since I spent a lot of time pealing mine off after it started to chip a month after I got the phone. Fitment was great and the rest of the look is OEM as I said before

Nah, that's just the crappy coat on the kickstand coming off. tape off around the kickstand, and take a green scrubby pad to it. a bit of metal polish, and it'll look way better than before.
Not necessarily as cheap, but a bit more established and reputable (ordered quite a few things from them for fixing BBs etc.)

If its the surface chiping off then not chems, mine did it 1st week and I ended up pealing the rest off over time with fingernail.
I recently bought a whole new shell and battery cover for my phone...repairsuniverse is an excellent site, thats where I bought mine and they give you the tools and it looks fantastic

I think that's just a blue protective sticker on the kickstand. Not an actual blue kickstand.
I recently came across this brand while looking for a case, brand is AkiBa. They are made in Taiwan so I believe quality and fitment will be quite good. Its a slider type case so no screws to fasten the case. I believe they go for $59USD, I'm still trying to find a shop that ships to Canada.
What do you think of this case?

Since the antennas are in the bottom of the phone and it's covered by metal I would be concerned that it would degrade signal quality.

I think the taurus metal case is too bulky. this one is slim
As with all metal cases, they will degrade signal quality, but only a little.

Hmmm....it looks good but I think it is not very handy to use a metal cover.
I love my silicone cover. It protects my phone and when I put it on a slippery surface it stays on it's place, I like that!
Also I think a metal cover will soon look less good because of the scratches on it!
When Your phone falls on a floor of stone it wont protect your phone, I think it will bring even more damaging risc.

One thing I hate about the sweet armor case is they still have the 'hole' for their Korean version TV antenna. It looks bulkier than the AkiBa too!

It should be the opposite. The hard on the outside and then soft on the inside! Arg. What a pain!
Of course I'll wait for casemate they make fantastic cases. But come one already CM! Come out with a case A good one with some colors too!!!

I'd prefer my device to be cushioned on the inside rather than the outside. Thats my personal preference I guess.
I bought 2 cases like this, one just like this one, and another black and blue.
i will leave feedback when they are received and post pictures if no one does until then.

Those are just the ones I picked up in 45 seconds. I'd imagine since CM and Otterbox do it, it must not be such a bad idea .
regardless, I imagine it's all about likes. I personally like my phone to be cushioned inside a case, rather than pressed up against hard plastic. If you like it the other way around, thats fine. It's all about choice I used those CM ones for my blackberries for a while. I got some for my iphones and for my SGSII. I can honestly say that I've never broken a phone inside one of those cases So why knock something that's just working the way it is!

Actually it seems far more logical to me.
In case of a drop I could care less if the case cracks but the phone remains unscathed...if anything it means that the case has done it's job.
EDIT: After seeing the video of the more rugged looking one I went for it. I could see it being pretty nice for situations when I will be out and about on paved or concrete surfaces. It seems to have the silicone inside with a hard case exterior except at the corners where it is just extra thick with silicone.
Im always a fan of metal bumpers...

We got only 1 metal bumper case...and it's ugly. Let's wait.
i just received the gimmick five triobump silver bumper! looks awesome on the white s3! however, they forgot to make a hole for the microphone!!! no one can hear u talk over the phone without the hole! i had to drill the hole on the bumper myself... apart from this stupid omission, it looks gorgeous!

and the buttons on the bumper are black rubber. will look better if the buttons are aluminum as well. oh well...

omg, how do you drill hole on your triobump? did they forget to make hole for both top and bottom of the case? gonna grab mine in next few days. Thanks for your advice in advance
I used a dremel
While you're at it you might want to make the hole for the usb cable a bit bigger too. The stock hole doesn't fit mist micro usb cables
Oh and don't forget about the noise canceling mic on the top

This one looks really nice. Do you guys think these would offer good protection from drops? I'm guessing it is slightly raised over the screen on the front.
I like the fact that it doesn't cover the whole back like normal covers.

that one is triobump...its reported here dont have hole for mic and noise canceling hole.

I am still awaiting my phone but now have all my accessories. My iLuv layover "white" case came in today. I was really interested in it when I first saw it, but there were very little pictures to go by so I thought I would take some pictures that gave a better idea. Until I get a phone to put in it, I figured this was all I could really do. I will update once I get my phone (waiting for it from Best buy/verizon) and can take more detailed pictures.
I wasn't sure how they could get away with charging $12 for shipping. After seeing the box it came, which could have also fit a pair of nike running shoes, I now understand why! This could have easily been shipped in a padded envelope and would have cut down on the cost!

The "white" really is a translucent case
a shot with my thunderbolt under it. shows just how translucent it will be

I was sitting around and thinking to myself...."I paid a lot for this case. it is pretty slick and want to keep it looking nice."
I got the xtremeguard full skins on the 75% off deal. (I got 4 actually). at the price I got them for, I figured it wouldn't matter if I wasted one. So, I installed a back protector on the iluv case for a little extra grip and in hopes to keep it looking good. so far it is sticking pretty good. if it sticks, I may keep it on, if not...ehh oh well. I'll take some more picts of that tomorrow if it stays looking good.
that looks like a cover that goes a bit further on the top and bottom, perhaps allowing for a bit more protection. seems nice
is this case available in Europe?

OP, are you using this case on a white or blue S3? I would love to see what it looks on a blue S3.
It looks great. I would like to see it on the phone first. Seems like it doesn't cover the top or bottom of the phone in front.

Wrong IMO. I stayed away from totally clear for one reason. Clear cases look nice at first. Then after months of sliding around on the contact points, those points become scratched. Now you have part of the case that looks nice and the rest which is all scratched and appears dirty.

Mine just arrived. Here it is on a Pebble Blue S III. I will be exchanging the phone for a white one, but I wanted to post pics for anyone interested in this case with a blue phone.
The case feel very nice and is nice and slim. It also wraps around the corners just enough to provide decent protection. There's no lip to really speak of on the front so the case won't protect your phone if you leave it faced down. That's either a positive or a negative depending on how you like your cases.
