Just installed the official ICS for my arc but something that is driving me crazy is that the 'cancel' and 'OK' buttons have switched around. Is there anyway to change this! I keep hitting cancel when I mean to click ok, why'd it have to change!
same here...very amnoying thing..but we'll get used to it

I by no means take credit for these but I can confirm they are working for me. I got these from the Skyrocket forums:
To fix the power off/reboot freeze issue do the following:
Make a CWM Nandroid backup of the ICS ROM. Then do a restore of the backup you just made without wiping anything. Reboot and test it out. It worked perfect for me.
Not sure why it works but it must have something to do with the restore scripts being used. They must somehow correct the power off/reboot issue.
To fix the portable hotspot issue do the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24134762&postcount=25
This has been tested by me and it works like a charm.
If I helped you please hit the thanks button.

Unfortunately I think the auto-rotate issue is kernel related so we have to wait for a specific kernel for our phones. I downloaded an app from the market "Auto-Rotate Status Bar Switch" and it seems to work pretty well.
ok thanks will try it right now and I leave at 6 am for my job and I have much time for that lolll
That app doesn't help. Still rotates into landscape when I'm in a portrait mode.

dude, as you can clearly tell from the rest of this forum, no one has a fix for it yet. be patient. besides, the OP isn't trying to address the auto rotate problem in the first place..
OP, i will try out the fix, thanks.
I am patient. Just wondering how to use that app that's all. Couldn't figure it out. Rotation locker works best for me so far

Samsung galaxy s2 almost ics lol
so im using Ravers blackedition rc3, with the ICS theme designed for rc2.
originally, rc3 had the shutdown/restart thing fixed, but flashing the theme broke it.
i tried your method but no luck for me.
im sure this still probably can work for those not using any themes tho
Yea what ROM are you running cause I tried both fixes and no luck
Samsung galaxy s2 almost ics lol
i am trying your method to get tethering to work...i followed your instructions and everything was good up until setting it up...i got to the skyrocket connected part...but when i hit my menu button nothing happens...i dont get the menu to set the SSID and pw
my laptop can pick up the skyrocket signal but it asks for a pw...and i dont know what it is since i didnt set one
edit: found your original thread and read the comments from another user...you have to tap on the word hotspot and then go into that page and then hit menu to configure...thanks!

Frndz my xperia arc s wont wake up from the sleep once it is left suspended for 1 min. I have cleaned the main board, heated up, checked all belts ... every thing works perfectly when screen is on .. video is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7Lcy1_m5Lc thanks awaiting your opinions.
I think is a hardware issue... Check your service center for assistance, i mean like it's first time i see such issue, and doesn't seem like a software related issue

I tried that already as well as fixing permissions.. I might just try reinstalling but I hate getting rid of all the bloat
Nevermijd E=subnoize soulja;41876456]I tried that already as well as fixing permissions.. I might just try reinstalling but I hate getting rid of all the bloat[/QUOTE]
Nevermind I figured it out it was happening cause under settings/security/screen lock I had it set on none.. So I switched it to slide and all is well again
so I'm having a similar problem, but your solution didn't fix it. when my screen is off my back/menu/etc keys still vibrate.
there is some kind of locker option that lets me slide the keys to unlock but I can't find it in the settings.

Slide to unlock is a kernel thing. Like Cerux Kernel has sweep2wake. Get kernel tuner and check misc to see if you have it.

Yes indeed. The dang thing unlocked my phone in my pocket for quite a while, had to turn it off
The button disappears when I put my phone on landscape then back to portrait, it's really similar to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099524 but with the difference that it only happens with I use a CM10 theme, with the default System one, this issue doesn't happen. Also, the other thing that the previous thread says, the am/pm thing, I have always used my phone on 24h format so, that's not my case.

Actually, they are circumstantial "problems", which do not really affect my daily phone's use at all, and also getting 6.5k @ antutu, so.. could you leave the thread and let me wait for real answers? thank you.

if there are other people experiencing this, how am I going to know what to do? If I come to xda is because I have no idea about apks or system or compiling etc etc. And it remains buggy if you change the systemui, have tried before without success, but thanks anyway, even when it seems more like a generic answer.
