[Q] What is the best rom to kindle fire? - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

wanted to know what is the best rom to kindle fire, the most stable and functioning most of the things

All of the CM7 ROMs are stable plus they have HWA, but the 3.0 kernel for CM9 when finished will allow HWA.
Best CM7: Barebones and smirkis' CM7Kang
Best CM9: RealoadedROM and Hellfire Sandwich

Where can i Download these? I am still a noob to rooting, I know CM7 = CyanogenMod7, but what is barebones & smirkis' CM7Kang? or RealoadedRom & hellfire sandwich?
Or are Barebones and Smirkis cm7kang, 2 seperate roms? same as realoadedROM & Hellfire sanwich?!?!?!
I am running MiUI 4.0.3, Its a bit glitchy/buggy, i noticed that after awhile of my kindle screen being off. that it shut down my kindle, and i had to reboot it by holding the power button for a long time....
I did get cm7 to successfully load, but it has ALL of the feats of a cellphone and i did not like it. I wanted Energy ICS, the UI was amazing, but Keyboard doesnt work...
(sigh)

GedeRom is the best. All of these are different ROMs based off cm7 or cm9.
gedeROM has the most features and is very stable.

cm9
Why is it that Calibre Management wont work with the cm9 rom

[Q] Need a faster kernel for jager 3.2

Is there a known kernel that will run with jager 3.2, faster then 1.19ghz(kingxkernel 5)?, or is there a better rom that is working with all features and fast, i have not been able to get cyanogen 6.0.2 to load for some reason, and I like the jager rom, vanilla is pretty good but my camera would not save pictures?
im using skyraider vanilla 3.0 RC3 rom with the same king kernal. Its been smooth and fast, and i have encountered no problems so far.

what rom to choose? :S

hi all... i had recently the rcmixS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988570
now i have the official android 2.3.
However, i would like to use some rom with, if not all, some sense 3.0 features (as in rcmix S).... stable and fast also!
as that rom was last updated in June, i wanted to know if you guys could sugest me some other rom.
Cheers
Just test. The rom you like depends so much on personal preferences.
Try revolution or Aurora.
Revolution v1.5 is one of the best Rom's I've tried so far, very fast for a modded sense Rom, my advice would be give it a try, but beware once you do, you'll struggle to find anything better

Does Revolution lag at all?
I'm using Tabasco's Silky ROM v2.0 at the moment, simply because it's as close to stock as I can get, and is therefore as quick as the official HTC 2.3 ROM.
I do miss some of the cooler Sense features of other ROMs, but they all lagged too much for everyday use (when doing things like opening browser, returning to home, dragging down status bar).
So does Revolution suffer the same lag?
I know it's not Sense, but...
MIUI roms are my favorite roms,
once I tried, every other rom is just boring.
thou i never really liked sense, MIUI was a true discovery for me.
FAST as lighting, very customisable, intuitive...
at least try it
and if you don't like...
go back to boring sense

Honestly Revolution is amazing, theres no lag what so ever, you should give it go m8, I know you will be impressed, V1.7 has just been released today, Not sure what it's like yet as I'm still downloading it
I tried Revolution too and I think it is the fastest sense Rom out there ...
I tried the Data++ 1.5 version with sense HBOOT and there was no lag whatsoever
the only problem I had was that programs kept installing on internal memory !!!!!
I find miui a very good choice. Performance is good. Update weekly.
try aurora with supersmooth rosie (semi 3d, transparent) and supercharger script you'll get full sense 3.0 very fast and stable
i recommend falshing aurora v03 first reboot make first settings and then wipe dalvik and cache and flash aurora v04 after that applie supersmooth rosie and supercharger script the reason for that is if you flash v04 first apps2sd isn't working and v4.1 doesn't include rctweaks
i second the revolution or Aurora... though nothing beats miui..
CyanogenMod or insertcoin
GingerReal2.
Nothing else

Redux. No sense and better battery life. Vanilla ftw!
Sent from my Nexus X
Nothing beats LeeDrOiD_HD_V3.3.3_GB - R5...........I go back to it every time.
insertcoin.....although sebastiaans runnymede 3.5 rom is getting there....gonna wait a few weeks for it to settle!
If you're limited to Sense 2.1 + 3.0, I would definitely suggest Revolution, or Leedroid HD. Revolution has custom UOT though. I don't know how that'll click on you.

I´m with you on that, it´s already on V.5.0 & it was on V4.6 this morning, so I really don´t want to complete wipe & flash several time in a day.....

Question about Desire HD roms

I currently have the MIUI rom from http://miuiandroid.com, currently version 2.3.16, with Android version 2.3.7
I used to have proxusers version of MIUI, which uses Android version Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3. This was a couple of months ago and the version I had wasn't stable at all, several things didn't work properly and it became so frustrating I went back to the Gingerbread version of MIUI.
I was wondering what roms are very stable at the moment? I am looking to install a new rom but not too sure what to go for, in the rom section I used to see just Sense and MIUI roms, but now there seems to be more. Are there any stables Android version 4.0.3 roms?
There are many easy to use ROM
IceColdSandwich by Lord Clockan is very stable. Best at the moment.

I agree, you should flash ICS. I get amazing battery life and performance with that ROM.
if you still want GB i recommend RCMIX 3D Runny 4.0 or Virtuous Affinity 2.05, both with Sense 3.5. if you wanna go with ICS, as they say in the posts above, go for IceColdSandwich, but that's a Stock ICS ROM, no Sense. As for Sense 4 ROMS posted on the forum, i recommend patience until they're fully finished (thats for Sense 4.0 Lite) or wait for the full Sense 4, whenever that will come out ported and stable
Android revolution 6.3.2 seems the most stable for me, 7.0.3 is almost as stable but has some camera issues it seems.

Stable room Jelly bean

Hi all.
Im looking to install JB on the Kindle Fire, can any one suggest a STABLE room to accomplish this?
Here's the list http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859851 but I'm using cm10 Sgt7 by twa_priv and loving it.
I'm running CM10 Jelly Bean by Hashcode for a little while now. Been very stable and never really found any problems that would cause me to change roms. Even the charging light on the kindle fire works when plugged in.
Here is the rom I'm using. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591850
I switch back and forth from CM10/sgt7 and the Alien JB ROM. The Alien ROM is based on CM10/sgt7 and it is very stable
Most rooms are stable, unless there's an earthquake
Jokes aside, the above posts should help you
I use AlienDroid, and it's very stable.
Devices:
Kindle Fire with AlienDroid primary and Modaco secondary

[Q] Is CleanROM better than CM 10.2?

I currently have the UNOFFICIAL CM 10.2 build, but I havent tried CleanROM yet. Is it any good?
Im running it right now. Its pretty great, fast and smooth
CleanROM is just stock with a few options to install additional apps via the AROMA installer. As of now, I don't think there are any new features to the framework itself. I've used CleanROM back in my TF700 days, but it's generally a stock-based ROM with a few speed tweaks. If you want extra features from AOSP/AOKP/CM, you'd have to go with an AOSP/AOKP/CM rom.
I use SmoothROM on my Grouper N7 and I'm waiting for that to get released. Has overall best balance of what I need out of a ROM.
