I have installed v6 supercharger update 9 rc7
i followed all steps.. Why i cant make it 100%?
Please help.
Im on stock rom dxlc1
First do an Unsupercharge and Unkernalize and then Quick V6 Cust-OOMizer, followed by Engine Flush and Nitro Lag Nullifier and finally, Superclean and Restart. When done, go to /data and run the Supercharger script as Root and on Boot. The green SU and blue Boot image must be activated.

Same here, old scripts work but not the latest ones. It always say "launcher is so weak". I already tried the suggestions above.

I install the v6 latest script but when i got to the superminfree, it says warning incompatibility u have to uninstall that app?? the what ? please help.
I had the same problem but was able to make it work and supercharge my SGY to 100%
After supercharging your phone (Supercharge/OOM Fixes + Die Hard Launcher/Bulletproof Launcher/Nitrolag Nullifier/Engine Flush) . . .
1. Open ScriptManager and navigate to system/etc/init.d and look for S99SuperCharger script
2. Tap on S99SuperCharger script and you need to set the properties to Superuser + Run at boot
3. Tap on save and exit Script Manager
4. Reboot your phone
5. Open Script Manager and verify that it is showing you "Supercharger Level: 100%"
NOTE:
Most probably you are getting 50% supercharge, if so that means S99SuperCharger wont run during startup. To make sure you will be able to supercharge your phone 100%. Start over! Unkernelize and Unsupercharge your phone then reboot and follow the steps here:

After a year of owning this EVO, the last few months my phone just sucks..
Laggy as hell.. Embarrassing to say the least.. Started with fresh, then when to Warm2 or whatever it was called..
Finally my phone became so laggy, probably due to the fact I ran up my 8 gig SD card and internal memory..
Went ahead and installed Synergy RLS1.. Didn't fix much of the problem.. so I decided to format the SDcard and do the partition deal.. Installed Synergy with God mode.
Things are even worse now.. Its just horrible, between the 4G, being stuck trying to turn on, things force closing.. Just horrible..
So I want to switch back to RLS1, but before I do so I thought I would ask you guys for your expertise as I've gotten over the years being here..
Whats the deal with "scripts" I know NOTHING about them and trying to read them is making my brain hurt..
I just want a smooth running phone with everything working.. I've read that scripts or whatever is the answer to making things non laggy again..
So Im going to flash Synergy RLS1 now.. Then would like to know what scripts and how?
Thanks guys!
I don't know much but I read up on everything and currently I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.1 RC with Tiamat 4.07 SBC. I set up V6 Supercharger and put it on MegaRam and my phone is running better than it ever has. As well as apps that force close often on stock, barely ever force close on my set up.
Thanks..
Im looking to see if someone could explain to me how to run a script and which one like I'm a 5 year old.. lol
Currently I just flashed Synergy RLS1 and would like to run the scripts deal.. This is all new to me..
The thread that zepplinrox has goes into detail, made pretty simple for human consumption. Basically you need to download two things. One is BusyBox Installer. This will allow you to run install BusyBox 1.18.2. This is what is needed to get you phone to understand the script. The second app you need is Script Manager. This is an interface that makes running the script as easy as opening a file in Astro or File Manager. Download the script, In this case you want the V6 Supercharger, and place it on the root of the sdcard.
After it is on the card, and you have the other two apps installed, open Script Manager and allow it root access through Superuser. Scroll to the bottom of SM and choose the Supercharger script. It will look like you are running a dos prompt. Check the box that says "run as root" and the run the script. From there just follow the instructions on the screen and Viola. You have a sweet running EVO.

thank you.. Correct me if I'm wrong..
What I am to do is the following in order..
#1 Download and install "Busy box 1.18.2."
#2 Download and install "Script Manager"
#3 Download "V6 Supercharger" and put it on the root of the SDcard
#4 Open Script Manager and scroll to the SDcard and open "V6 Supercharger" it will run automatically, just check off "run as root"
Is this all correct?
If so, Where do I get these 3 files from? Also, can this all be done from my phone? I mean I can download all the files from my computer and just move them over to my phone correct? I don't need to install any of these on my computer do I?
THANKS BRO!
EDIT** I see "Script Manager" In the market as well "Busy Box"
Do I download and install both of these?
EDIT##2
I downloaded both Busybox and Script manager from market..
When I open Busy box it asks me which version to install.
Here are the options
It says current version is V.1.18.4
and it says
1.19.2
1.18.5
1.18.4
1.17.1
??? THANKS
Ok..
So I did it..
I got the right busybox version and installed that.. Then installed script manager
I downloaded 1 file
V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-update7.sh.txt
There was an update8 but nothing mentioned 8 so I just went with 7
I checked off run as root, and ran the script.. It asked for options 1-16.. I picked number 6, which is balanced 3 or whatever..
Then after it was all over, I chose option 16 to reboot..
Phone is rebooted..
Seems ok so far.. How do I ensure its working? It seems snappier thats for sure..
When mine got like that, I just ran the RUU for my phone and started over. Fixed everything just fine.

one question i have is: is your SD card partitioned with an EXT partition?
if you look through the Synergy RLS1 thread it appears to be a known issue that having a partitioned SD card can cause your phone to run slow (especially if you have a slow SD card) since the synergy ROM by default has a lot run off the EXT partition if it is present.
even though i have a class 6 SD card (it is fairly fast) i still experianced slow issues and or laggy issues.
to fix the issue you can install Dark Tremor A2SD from the synergy updater app. when you have this installed you can tell the phone to not run stuff from the SD card.
LOL with the amount of information I'm gonna explode..LOL
First all I read about what how great it is to partition your sdcard.. now soomeone is saying its bad ... its running pretty damn good now.. since I ran this new script deal at least... I will see how its running in the coming days.. thanks

I know that Synergy has some of the best Dev's there are working on it, but as much as I've read, I sometimes think it's about as reliable as ROM Manager and CWM, as in not reliable
Can someone tell me if there is any other scripts I should run??
Right now all I ran was V6supercharger
Should I run other ones as well? And if so can someone point me to the right spot? THANKS
Bump!!! Anyone?

If you're running AOSP, the vipermod is great, to undervolt. It can be found in the development section.

Yes it is a script. I didn't know you were running sense, as why I said you could try it if you were on AOSP; there is an equivalent to the vipermod for sense by calkulin, though I don't know it by name.
If your phone is running smoothly now, I wouldn't mess with it. V6 is great, especially for those on Sense roms. I tried it on AOSP and didn't really notice much of a change, but my phone runs smoothly already.
If you're getting some lag on your larger apps, like your launcher, you can try increasing the dalvik vm heap size to ~40 or above if needed. The easiest way to do so would be with the app "VM Heap Tool". It shouldn't counteract with V6 in any way, but if it does then you can just set it back to 32.
But as I said, if you're happy with your phone at this point, then don't change anything. Also realize that scripts are not the only way to improve your phone's performance. This script worked for you, but that doesn't mean someone else's suggestion is less helpful because it isn't a script (or because you don't know what it is and think that it isn't a script). A script is just a means for performing some action on your phone.
And since you're happy with V6 SuperCharger & it helped you - you should head over to the original thread for it and click the thanks button for zepplinrox if you haven't already.

Ever since I received the upgrade to gingerbread (first 4.06 and now 4.08), Sense will get shut down when I am in other applications. Then when I hit the home button I get the white "HTC" screen and then sense has to start up and reload all my home screens and widgets. It typically happens when I use the browser but has sometimes happens when in other applications.
Here are the things I've tried to keep this from happening:
* reducing the number of things on my home screens
* removed all widgets to try and reduce the memory footprint
* factory reset/cleared dalvik cache
* renice <htc.com.launcher process> -20
* installed Auto memory manager (AMM) and set it to "aggressive" mode
* using AMM reset the priority of "HTC Sense" from 6 down to 2 and specified "always keep alive" but the kernel seems to just reset the priority.
What's really annoying is when I look at the list of processes, things like facebook and weatherbug have a higher (meaning lower number) priority than Sense. Does anyone have any idea how to force Sense to be given priority over other apps so it can stop from being shut down?

John

with any OTA its recommended to do a factory reset. did you do this? its a pain to loss all your data but it might fix your problems.
sorry i didnt have my morning coffee yet.... If you wiped dalvik then that means you have root. your phone is not shutting down. something is killing rosie (the sense launcher.) and that why the white HTC splash screen comes up again. What rom are you runing? i know its the OTA but is it the RUU or one of the devs roms based off RUU??

If you read his entire post you would know he did a factory reset.
My best guess is to go back to stock sense before the last ota (by rooting and flashing or whatever way you wish..sbf or whatever) then download the ota on your computer and try manually updating your phone..if that doesn't work then I don't know

Most recently I am running the stock 4.08 version starting with applying the 4.06 RUU and then applying the 4.06 to 4.08 update file. I do have root and really use it for monitoring/managing the /data/data partition.

There's no risk of brick with v6. It just tweaked a couple parts of the kernel.

You'll just want to make sure you have busybox 1.18.2 installed, then run the script with Script Manager, and you'll want to select either 6 or 7 (I use option 7), then reboot. It won't brick your phone, but you can always run a nandroid backup to have something to fall back to.

Is this the correct script manager app: https://market.android.com/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager ?
Noob question, how do I check which version of busybox I have installed. I found one in TitaniumBackup that is 1.18.14 but that looks like it is local to TitaniumBackup. I did find "toolbox" in /system/bin which looks like the stock rom's version of busybox. Is this what I should be looking at or is busybox installed somewhere else?

Yes, that's the app.
Download this app as well: Busybox Installer
It'll tell you what version you have (if you have it), then you can select what version you want to install. No need to adjust where it installs, just leave that at the default, just select version 1.18.2, then hit Install.
I read through the script just to get a sense (no pun intended) of what it was doing and then installed Busybox 1.18.2 and applied setting 11 "Hard to kill launcher" from the script. I've done a bunch of browsing to sites that normally caused Sense to get shut down and so far so good.
I initially installed busybox with symlinks and it the script threw a ton of errors so I reinstalled with symlinks to fix that.
Thanks for all the help. For completeness, here is a link to V6 Supercharger so all the links are in this one thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 .
One thing I did have to change because I am running Sense and not a stock android launcher is the name of the launcher process itself.
On line 64, I changed this "pidof com.android.launcher" to this "pidof com.htc.launcher"
will the V6 script it just tells the android memory system to not reclaim memory from the launcher app so it stays on no matter what happens. only way to kill it is to go to settings and FC the launcher. also with the script you cant brick the phone because its not ran till after the phone boots. The term brick means : that the phone will not boot at all. you just have a phone that does nothing at all not even turn on. You can soft brick the phone meaning the software will not boot. all you need to do is make a backup before installing the script and you will always have a way back if anything happens.
for me i run the beta V6 script option under -=*512HP*=- which is more of a balanced one with bullet prof launcher and its is wonderful. but each phone is different so just try them out and see what works for you.

I did "soft" brick the phone recently when I deleted build.prop and forgot to put a new one in it's place before I rebooted. Had to use adb to access the phone to restore build.prop. I can tell you that was a nervous few minutes after I realized what I had done. Definitely not a recommended activity.

yes that will do it. lol i did that a long time ago when i wanted to edit it my fat finger deleted it. now as good practice i always make a copy of it but add .bak at the end of it so if i do delete it i can just replace it before reboot.
I've been using options 1, 8, and 12 in the V6 Supercharger and my phone has been running great. What options did everyone else choose?
im on easydoesit v2.2 and im having trouble mounting in root explorer...if i reboot enough times i can get it to mount but the files that i delete or add don't save...
for example...im trying to delete apex launcher since i have go launcher...when i delete the apk it says file deleted...but when i click refresh it comes back
is this a problem specific to the rom or are others having the same problem on other ICS roms?
if anyone knows how to fix this please help
thanks in advance

is this the exact one? want to make sure its the correct one for our phone model
Hey all,
First off - this is in no way a knock against all the self-sacrificing developers we have - they truly rock!
My question requires a little bit of background. I've been flashing since the days (lol) of Midnight Rom. Switched to Syndicate Frozen. I then started in the CM world with CM7 and liked it a lot. I felt it was quite snappy - although it had some quirks. Then when CM9 came out - I dived in. The quirky list of things about CM9 has really grown smaller and smaller. But one issue I feel remains. The speed. When I switched to CM9, I thought, well it's new, and it "wasn't even supposed to be able to fit on our phones to begin with..." but now I just don't know.... there has been a lot of streamlining and bug tweaks - I would have thought it should have smoothed out a bit.
My problem is, I just don't know when it's going to lag. I feel like sometimes it's fine, and other times it's just sitting there waiting and waiting to complete the action I've tapped. Other times it freezes and I have to long press the back key to kill the app.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if it's just me? Are we living in denial (lack of snappiness to have the latest OS ver), or is my phone saying I don't like what you've put in me!
FYI - I started with CM9 Alpha (something - can't remember) and I'm currently running Beta 3 (I usually like to wait a few days to see if there's any issues with the latest build b4 flashing). When I flash the latest builds, I only wipe cache part and dalvik cache. I also am sure each time to flash the recommended GAPPS. I have on occasion "fixed permissions" but that didn't do much.
I've been faithful about not flashing another kernel - although if that would help, any recommendations would be appreciated. Also, I was interested in trying the V6 Supercharger, but never did - and now it seems that no one is using that....
So is it just me, or is this everyone?
Start clean... wipe data... go into mounts and storage format /system. Then wipe dalvik. Flash the newest build and enjoy the slick ness... trust me fresh starts will save your life. Besides when installing new builds you can go into back up and restore. Backup your Google account and it will reinstall all your apps automatically.
The V6 supercharger will help as well.

Hit menu. Go to system settings go to back up and reset. Hit backup account. Choose your Google account. It doesn't notify you of when its done but 5-10 minutes should be ample. It doesn't save data... sorry. But if you need it you can use titanium backup and restore data for apps you absolutely need.

You will want to run these after you install the new build.
Okay the files you want to download are the V6 Supercharger Update 9 RC8.2, and the Kick Ass Kernelizer RC8. Once these are downloaded (ignore the fact they are PDF's) Go ahead and download and install Script Manger from the market and open it up and find where you downloaded those files. Run the Kick Ass Kernelizer first. Tap it the dialog comes up and tap the Superuser icon to "run as root" then hit run. It will run through its terminal deal, when it asks for the I/O tweaks go ahead and say yes... i know it says bootloop potential but it hasnt happened to me so id say your good. Then it will give your options (K)ick ass , Chew G(u)m, and E(x)it. Type in K for it to install and to unistall you would type U, then hit enter... it will run through and when it says goodbye at the end at the top left you can hit close. Then go ahead and run the V6 Supercharger the same way. This one will give your scroll options type 1 hit enter. It will as for fix emissions type y hit enter, then it will ask to system integrate init.rc type y and hit enter. Then when it gets done it will ask if you want to use these custom values.. hit no... then i normally use the 7 option... but i suggests what options which is 5-7 for the epic since it has roughly 512mb of RAM. Then it will go through a terminal print again when it comes to the Superclean and Restart go ahead and choose yes. It will reboot and your all good to go. ... definetly making a copy of this... that was a long type .
NICE - I held of from doing the wiping of system and flashing from scratch - and the V6 made a HUGE difference!!!! Now every time I flash the latest Beta I'll need to run both of these scripts again, right?

Hit menu. Go to system settings go to back up and reset. Hit backup account. Choose your Google account. It doesn't notify you of when its done but 5-10 minutes should be ample. It doesn't save data... sorry. But if you need it you can use titanium backup and restore data for apps you absolutely need.

From which screen or app do you do this? From my home screen I hit menu and could not find anything like "system settings" or "backup and rest". I think I've seen these before but i'll be damned if I can find them now.
Thanks

POST UPDATED!
Hey guys I m new to xda forums and today i m gonna tell u all about Karbonn A1+.I decided to post this thread
cause not many people know about this phone and r complaining that they want to root this phone but z4root is not
working.
Karbonn A1+ is a good but not great phone and to unlock its full potential You will need to have done these
things:-
1.Rooted your phone - To do this you will need to download ICS Root Unlocker. Link -
http://www.mediafire.com/?aqtk58y13xoqjvd
Firstly download the software. Then connect your phone to the PC and put it in USB Debugging mode.Let your PC
install the drivers required. Then press any key once drivers r installed and ur phone will reboot. After ur phone is booted into home screen then press any key once again.Repeat this process for 3-4 times until the ics root unlocker window closes and ur phone has superuser in the app drawer.Congrats now you have rooted ur phone!!!I mean ADB Drivers by drivers coz the drivers for this phone on windows 8 and 7 r not available... Now lets proceed to the next step....
2.Install ROEHSOFT RAMEXPANDER - I highly recommend this software for this phone cause it does not have
much RAM and some games force close automatically like Temple Run.Link for download -
http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/3242181/ Now after installing it open it and allow superuser permissions.
Now adjust the slider of the swapfile as desired and click Swap Activ button.Be patient as creating swapfile takes
some time. After its done you will have more RAM than ever and u will be able to run many more apps and games...Now
the last step but not the least is..............
3.Install Chainfire 3d 3.3 - If you guys wanna play high end games like Brothers In Arms 2,NFS Shift,DEAD
SPACE,NOVA etc install this software and the plugins. Link for download of Plugins -
http://www.datafilehost.com/download-cfe8aed2.html Link for download of apk -
http://www.datafilehost.com/download-4a5000b4.html CHAINFIRE 3D Installation Guide : Download Chainfire 3D 3.3 Pro
then install. Download Plug-ins file, unpack it in SD.Open chainfire3D then allow superuser.Select the CF 3D
Driver, and then Install. Phone will restart.NOTE- If Chainfire 3d is not in the app drawer after reboot just
install it once again. Then follow these steps.Start the Chainfire 3D and select the item Install plugin.Wait till
it finds plug-ins .zip file .Install all plugins found and then Select Fix market settings.Fix market settings
displays the apps that r not compatible with ur phone but r compatible with da graphics plugins in the play store.
After this, go to Default OpenGL settings -> Use plugin. Choose any plugin your game requires. Minimize
Chainfire3D. Now you can play most of the HD games on your phone without lags....
I hope you find my thread useful. Please hit the thanks bar if it helps and feel free to ask questions if any...

well in my understand it is due to locked root access and dont know how to access them, also surprisingly none of any developer looking this case as i have sen many posts related to karbonn a1+ rooting and 80 are unsuccessful cases. and those who rooted their devices they have 2.0.0 or 2.0.2 version models.... we have 2.0.8 version which seems more secured

I did clean install of adb drivers (forgot the thread :banghead: ) then I followed ch3tan's thread for rooting using shaume.
It was simple and straight till I saw one chinese app. I did a check by installing titanium backup. It was stuck at "asking root permissions".
I thought it was a fail and again connected to pc for unrooting.
But then i saw another app popped in phone. There were four tabs and in setting tab root option was disabled(grey). Just enabled it (green) and yay! Titanium backup started! A chinese message box appeared for confirmation, just pressed left button(without any delay) and first thing I did was kicking *** of bloatwares.
I didnt see any blue thing.
Edit: There's a blue icon appear in status bar. Just ignore it. Clear it.

Did you disabled USB Debugging? If yes, then enable it, restart phone and try to enable root option again. Also enable the option below root. Dont know what that means but its enabled in my phone.
This was once happened with me too.

I am now consdering myself lucky.
I gained root access in one shot.
I think its not about s/w version.
I learned that there are other drivers than adb. The phone also connects in serial mode.
The driver installation file which I got is about 12 mb. And installs all drivers at click of button.
Are all drivers successfully installed?
Just try without internet enabled.
Or keep phone connected to pc and enable root.
Which app you are using to confirm root as I used titanium backup.
I have attached details of my phone.
H/w version at back is 4.0.0

Look at the last few no.s of the first line and the first few of the second line under your software version...its 2.0.2....mine is 2.0.8....it seems that after Karbonn updated the software, it has become utterly impossible to root it....
Anyways...thanks for helping me and hope you have tons of fun with your rooted phone
Over and out..
