FD02 + Higher Kernels and Tegrak Issues. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Has anyone found a reason why or work around for why Tegrak won't work on kernels FD02 and higher. When trying to load the overclock module it just hangs. I have tried looking at everything I know and can't seem to find a reason for this. Has anyone else found anything or figured out a work around for it?
Thanks in Advance.

Ive sent him detailed logs, should be fixed soon.

That is awesome. Thanks for letting me know.

Not only does it hang, it cooks the phone, lol. Thanks for looking into this

Yeah, it does make it get incredibly hot. Now that the developer knows about it an update should be out soon.

They have same GPU.
Reading through the original thread. The positive results were negligible at best. many people were experiencing lower scores and lines and other artifacts when playing some games.
So probably not worth the soft brick or worse, to find out if it's compatible with our device.

The op reports double. Many people were reporting decrease. Read through it man. I'm not making it up.
In any case. I think maybe someone with some knowledge should look at this before we go flashing.

There's a rom for the international S2 that looks pretty cool, who wants to flash it for me to see if it works?

Actually all it did was replace a few lib files which wouldn't brick the phone. So you, please be quiet. Because YOU don't even know what would happen. Lib's are coded files that are linked to kernel for both system and kernel work. THAT is what he changed, but he cannot hard brick his phone like that.
billydroid said:
Ok this is absurd. Alphadog did not flash for fear of bricking his phone. That's why he was asking for other people with "balls" to flash it. Also saying Ita for cm9, it's not.
Now since this guy didn't trash his phone. He knew everything was going to be fine.
You should not try and talk people into flashing stuff not specifically for our phones. Especially when you yourself won't do it.

Well I got smart and looked over the zip and found out it was just libs, so right there I knew nothing was going to happen. But, if we are going to fight about an ICS Driver update, that shows the level of where the T989 community is going.

[REQ][Kernel][SprintGnex]Wondering if a certain kernel exists...

Haven't found anything kicking around but I'm wondering if there is a kernel around that is totally stock EXCEPT for the clocks. I'd like the kernel to boot at 1.35 or 1.4ghz. Has anyone seen anything like this around? Thanks a lot!

TweetCaster causing serious heating??

Ok, I just want to see if anyone else is having this problem. Ive found that tweetcaster on any ICS rom ive tried seems to cause major heating. I know ICS leaked builds have had this issue in general, but I just want to know if anyone else is encounteering the same problem.
Cpu usage gets to about 47% and then the phone will get super hot, and then of course battery takes a nose dive. I hate to switch twitter apps, but its the best one out there for most. any input from people that are using it.
oh yeah follow me on twitter lol @yungjuice216 haaaa
Haven't had that myself, but if it helps i really like Plume(switched to it from tweetcaster). Hasn't caused issues for me on fd26. Sorry

Choose pbj kernel as your kernel. Zomg!!!! YouTube app finally plays all the NBA and boxing videos smoothly. Don't try and tell me, YouTube is smooth. Watch an NBA video or a player highlight. Its SO choppy. Saberkernel wasn't cutting it. Pbj kernel will change your life.

P.s. why do people get so defensive about things like this? I'm not getting paid for people flashing a kernel. You're lucky I'm even telling you guys about how good this kernel is. Most people will never even find out about this kernel. What if someone reads my thread, gives it a try, and they fall in love like I did?
Such a defensive bunch.

It's actually probably best to let this thread die, because as you said people are getting defensive or as you are claiming kernels are lagging. Saber is an outstanding kernel and I had zero lag and ptmr3 is a great dev and constantly improving his work.
I love PBJ too and actually tend to use it when I'm on a custom kernel maybe partially from nostalgia of the charge. Having said that I find stock is the best for me and I get zero lag.
Here's why, kernels are a funny thing what is great for your phone may be not so great on my phone. I have an example above, but another is trinity kernel bootloops me every time and I can't use it, but many users seat by it. So I believe you that you had you tube lag on Saber and I believe the other guy that he had none. Either way this thread is going to spiral into bashing the work a dev donated to the community very quickly, so it's best to just let it die.

I'm not sure if you meant to say I was getting defensive about SaberKernel? I just gave my opinion the same way you did, just because you have a problem doesnt mean I have it, just saying. And Im glad there are many choices of kernels, that its always good.

I literally didn't even bother flashing it with the separate aroma installer file, until I saw that someone said pbj kernel is great on battery.
