[Q] Camera resolution/ color depth problem - COREDROID

Hi @all,
i tried to find a solution for my problem, but i still couldn't find one.
My Desire HD:
ROM: CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V5.0 & FROYO V3.3
Android Version: 2.3.3
Sense Version: 2.1
Baseband: 12.28e.60.140fP_26.04.04.17_M2
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.10-g1418c33
Software Number: CoreDroid Desire HD V5.0
My Problem:
I flashed my original ROM with the CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V5.0. Everything works fine, except the camera. If I try to make a picture, it seems, that the color depth is like 8bit. -> See attached picture.
Flashing another ROM like RCMixHD_v5.6_ORG -> same problem.
Is there still existing a thread for this Problem or does some knows what i can do?
Greetz Andy
That looks awesome
A question: Does the live view of the camera show the same picture? Or is it correct and only changes when saving?
Anyway I would recommend a full wipe & reflash of the ROM. If that doesn't fix the problem, there might be a serious problem.
The picture looks also on live view so bad.
I tried different ROMs and for wipe datas i allways used the Full_wipe_1.3.zip
I don't think that it's a hardware problem, because with the original ROM it allwaxs worked fine before i flashed.
I did following things:
- had original ROM
- downgraded from Baseband 1.75.x to 1.32.x (followed Forum Thread HOWTO...)
- Radio S-OFF and ENG S-OFF
- Flashed new ROM CoreDroid
- Radio Update to 12.28e.60.140fP_26.04.04.17_M2
I hope this helps....
Thanks
Did you already try other ROMs? It might fix the problem, if you do a full wipe and flash a different ROM, if it is ROM specific.
Have you already tried to go back to stock ROM and checked whether the problem persists?
Yeah, i tried the RCMix ROM and the Revolution HD ROM.
I didn't try stock rom yet. Didn't still found the thread with stock ROMs, so, don't know where to download from.
Does someone knows the title of the stock ROMs Thread?
Its definetely a ROM issue . So my suggestion to you is :
- Either the issue come from not properly functioning ROM or not properly functioning KERNEL . By re-flashing them , I guess you would managed to fix the problem .
- If you have made a BACKUP before flashing your new ROM , you should just restore your previous ROM and maybe the issue would disappear .
Ok, so i'll make a Kernel Update and try another ROM or Stock ROM (tomorrow) and then post you my results.
I hope that works
I die a kernel update, Radio Update, flashed stock rom 1.32 but this didn't fix the Problem.
Any other ideas that can be a solution für my Problem?
Hi,
I have the exact same problem with my DHD. Was a solution ever found?
For me, 'till today, sadly not
I think the camera sensor is busted. If you already flash lots of different roms and still not fixing it, best probable guess would be the hardware itself.

[Q] how to bring back may phone to 2.3.6

i flash infectedrom alpha but its camera is not working and some of sys app are gone. how to bring back my phone to 2.3.6
Find a stock rom, I saw a thread that had a lot and for the next time, you always got to backup your stock rom before changing your rom.
Edit: oh theres a new version that fixes the camera, try that one.
tnx
i flash thae new version, all are working fine but there is a misplace internet icon at the lower left corner of the dock, and it seems not deletable. its irritating
Where I can find that second version of infectedroom?
http://www.multiupload.com/GAVWXL4LJP
This is the V2
next time you flash you should always back up your stock rom just in case

Try to reflash the rom. Hope it will help
this is a bug of creed3.2
Hello sir That is actually a bug not just in Creeds ROM 3.2. It is also a bug of other custom roms that uses a modified systemui.apk (the application used to have a status bar which is built in on a stock rom)
Mr. Pratyush Creed used that modified app as a default systemui.apk it doesn't actually have a fix. (right now) that bug is bearable. even though its stucked at 1 bar, you may actually have 2 or 3 bars. Which means you can still send messages and your signal is not really weak.
One thing annoying about it is that you don't know if you have max signal, 2 bars, and also 1 bar. but if you do not want to be disturbed or annoyed by that signal bug, i suggest you change into another Custom ROM or revert back to stock rom
Try Try!
Revert back to stock ROM then try Flashing Creeds v3.2.
Hope This helps
This is a bug on Creeds' Fusion v 3.2 , Im recently using this ROM and it shows 1 bar signal even the signal is strong in my area , Pratyush is working on it

auto rotation problem

hi guys,
My screen stays always in landscape mode with all custom roms except wiht energyzed blue theme rom.
Help me please!
Hi,
i had the same Problem using Flinny´s JB Roms.
I followed the Trick mentioned at Flinny´s Andromadus Page and it worked perfectly.
"If your on a Desire Z and sensors are not working make a nandroid backup flash a recent sense rom check your sensors are working then restore your nandroid."
I used the ViperZ Rom 1.0.0 and my rotation Sensor worked, then restored the nandroid backup and the Sensors kept working without Problems.
Since i´ve done this, i could flash every Rom i want without having this problems coming back.
hope this helps and sorry for my bad English

[Q] PACman ROM issue

Hey, I recently installed the PACman v20.1.0 ROM (4.2.2) and everything's working fine except the bottom of my screen is unresponsive. No matter how much you touch is it doesn't work. The unresponsive space is the bottom half of the icon row on the homescreen dock, the top of the icon is still responsive. Can someone help me out here? (sorry if this is a noob question or mistake ) Thanks!

Change the trigger area and make it to small...if you change it to none the screen would flicker.
Settings>toolbar>trigger area>small
Or
Toolbar>pie gravity>left/right/whatever you want
I just change the trigger area to small and it helps. No pie for me though

I'd recommend the cerux kernel. I havent played with the lock screen on the 22.0.01 update yet, so i cant give you an answer on that. But make sure you do a backup before you try any mods, so you can always go back if you accidently messed it up.
