Lookin for and app thats similar to the multitask found on AOKP roms. I want it on my cm7. I tried the aokp and it was great but I can't deal with no flash so I went back to cm7 but I'm missing that webos multitask,
Is it possible to add/flash that to cm7 or maybe and app that's similar to it.
Thanks
There's an app I think its called itching thumbs it does the card multitasking.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
what multitask are you referring to that is in the aokp?
The webOS card task switcher is what he's talking about
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
there should be nothing like that. Multitask like that only works on ICS and none of the ICS roms have working flash.
Flash works in 4.0.4 if the roms get upgraded to it for the evo we got it on the et4g in aokp and cm9 and everything works but 4g now on aokp, itching thumbs did the webOS card multitasking but I couldn't find it anywhere its been pulled from the market and couldn't find a link for the apk

Hmm. Itching Thumbs. I got a link to a post, here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17144375&postcount=165
Some people has suggested Wave Launcher which mimics the cards; I haven't used it before though.
Sorry, did understand what u said, so aokp and cm9 have flash FOR EVO, or wich of the roms u mentioned have it.
Any that is Android version 4.0.4 once its merged into the upstream Netflix YouTube and the like will work flawlessly aokp has it merged just don't know if its been compiled for the evo yet I have it downloaded for my et4g gonna be flashing it today, the next release of aokp will have it merged tho just look for build 29 and up to be released for the evo

Thanks, so I guess this multitask is only for aokp and not cm7, u tried the app u guys said but I liked the rom version better.
Gueess ill wait fir aokp 30

Which ICS rom do you prefer and why?
Currently AOKP due to reliability, tweak-ability, and speed. Blazing fast for me on Build 33.

I am on decks pb22 and it has been rock solid for me. I tried out AOKP 31 and had tons of random restarts so I bailed on AOKP, at least temporarily. I have not tried gummy or drew. Gummy looked promising but last I checked it still only had partial HWA and that is a deal breaker for me.

33 is amazing. Way better than 31 for my phone.
Isn't AOKP sacrificing camera for HWA and vice versa?
Um MIUI?

Drew's in my opinion. Fast, stock, and stable.

jamie's QWIK based on Evervolv is rock solid. Using it for a few days now with no unexpected concerns
ya in my personal experiance kwiq ics has been the most stable as of late (aokp 33 has been real close tho maybe a cleaner flash or something would make it better) but kwiq is a in its early stages unlike aokp and decks so you lose some customization but i believe they are on the way. gummy was also more stable than previous aokp builds but has not progressed recently but i am excited to see what comes of it but also was smoother than aokp but lacks hwa
I've tried all ICS roms but kwiks ICS so I can't comment oh his. I've been running swipers MIUI ICS for months and it stable as a brick **** house.

I am running decks ICS pb23 and it is super stable no real issues with it other then the fact the front camera and 4g dont work
I've flashed all the roms mentioned and all of them seem to have the same problem for me. They all start off fine and then after a few days I will run into random reboots. ICS is not stable enough for me to be a daily, but it getting there.

Honestly I'm a bit surprised at how little people talk about Evervolv. It's an amazingly smooth ICS 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 and everything works except the 4G which is expected from an ICS Rom go check out Evervolv on Twitter @preludedrew Trust me it's well worth it I've been following it since the original release.

is HWA on AOKP yet?
Yes. HWA has been on AOKP since b31.
As for preludedrew, I wish his rom had more for customization. But I am well aware that he is to be credited for ANY of us running ICS at all on Evo. So despite my not using his ROM, I def regard him and cayniarb and mongoosehelix as heroes for all is Evo owners. Without them, we'd likely still be hosed for ICS.

I was running Evervolv for the longest....he just doesn't update it enough and I'm a flashaholic.
Which rom do you guys run to play this game? I got it on miui but it won't go past the loading screen.
I believe they don't work on AOSP ROMs. Run stock or stock-based ROMs
I was using MIUI as well until N.O.V.A. 3 came out. I had the same issue so I switched back to Frankenstein's Ego 5.1. Works great on here.

I think it only works on TW based ROMs or ROMs that are built from source, not ported. I could be wrong though.

It works fine on CM9 alpha 5.
I just got this phone and love it. I'm running Caulkins rom but I like Cyanogenmod so much more. I can't seem to find a post that says what exact bugs are in CM9 alpha 6. Any help?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I've been running CM9 for awhile and there aren't any major bugs. Just try it out and see if you like it. Im sure there are still small quirks here and there but nothing keeping it from being a daily driver.
Battery drain is the only issue I have had with CM9 alpha 6.
Thanks for the help guys. Gonna flash it and see how it goes.
Yeah CM9 is great. I don't really have any issues and with a source built kernel in the works we are about to get official cm support and nightlies.

I'm... really confused. Someone please enlighten me.
Because the EVO was made for GB ROMS. The hardware is compatible with GB.
You can load a custom ICS or JB ROM from the many available here but I don't think they have HWA. They are also not 4G compatible and if you have good 4G in your area then it does not make any sense as to why you would go with a non 4G ROM. Also, FFC and a bunch of other stuff does not work with ICS or GB. The processing power of the EVO is also a little weak for the animations of ICS or JB.
^ This.
Perhaps if HTC had ever released the source code for the drivers for things like 4G and the FFC, ICS and JB ROM's would be more popular and more people would use them. As it stands now, Gingerbread doesn't have any of the above issues-it just works, plain and simple.

Because pretty much everything works. No lag and like HD2FORNICK said, this phone, by hardware, is designed for GB

Ics and JB don't have hard ware acceleration?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
ICS and JB certainly do. But not for this phone. Drivers have to be compiled to specific hardware. To do that, the ROM maker will either need to build the driver from scratch, or have the source code and make modifications. HTC never released the source code for the drivers, so no hw accel for ICS and JB. You cant use the same drivers across two different OSes, even for the same harware. Oh well...

I'm not a fan of GB ROMs but I do like sense. I dont mind the 4g part since I don't have it in my area. Still I keep switching between GB,ICS and JB. I have had good experience with the ICS ROMs I tried. JB ROMs is like ICS at the beginning with laggs and things not working but it gets better as time passes.

Video recording in 720
Cuz gb just plain works.
No doubt, ice and jb are great, but just not functional enough for me. Like vid recording is choppy, which unfortunately is a deal breaker
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
While all the ICS/JB roms are awesome, I came from the EVO shift to the EVO 4g for the bigger screen, and front camera. With the front camera broken on ICS and up, it is unfortunately a deal breaker. That is why I use gingerbread.

Decks Reloaded is amazing. It just flies and nothing ever FCs.
Even though I live in an area with great Wimax coverage, I never use it. It kills my battery so quickly. That's why I'm trying out an ICS ROM right now and I've also been trying out some JB ROMS. Had to drop JB because Bluetooth wouldn't work right in any of the ROMS I used.
Long story short, if it wasn't for the advanced notifications and status bar in ICS, I wouldn't ever use anything other than Decks Reloaded on my Evo 4g. Try it. It's so damn smooth.

JB has some nice features but I find myself going back to the ics roms... even though I've had no rr or sod with cm10 lately. Anyone else do the same?
Right now I'm rocking jmt as my main dd. I got a few nandroids of jb I go back to. There getting more stable by the day. Def worth running. Jmt x drops soon so there will be a lot of people flashing that.

I need my phone to be a 100% stable, so sticking with ICS roms until JB gets to that point. Hopefully that will be soon.
I don't think we'll know how stable it is until it's officially released. All we have now are ports and hacks.

Im staying on ICS because JB doesnt look as nice. the status bars and button switches are different. unless i can find a way to keep my cm9 theme on cm10. which i should look into now.

Im still using ICS Roms, tho i'm trying to find a JB rom. my main reason is I can't find a JB rom that will allow me to make calls and play music over blutooth in my car. It is really weird. I tried the 10/15 official Cyan nightly and the bluetooth worked on my way to work and then didnt work after. Ive got the 10.17 now and i want to see if that works. i cant really settle on an ICS rom tho. not sure why?
