[Q] widget transparency - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

i noticed that white widgets such as gmail and emails, the top part (where the title/name is) is a bit transparent, and you could see the colors of the background through it
is this normal?

Notification area on lockscreen has black background - how to remove?

Hello!
I have installed a clear lockscreen on my Hero. So the lockscreen only shows the background and the clock, no arcs as the original HTC Hero.
But, when I have an unread message or an unanswered call, it shows up as a notication on the buttom of the lockscreen. This doesn't look good. It has a black background, and my lockscreen looses all its style.
So, any idea how to disable the notifications on the lockscreen, or to disable the black background?

[Q] Change notification colors

Is there a way to change the background colors or the text colors of the notifications. For example, the CNN app uses black text, but the background is also dark grey, so I can't read anything that is displayed. If someone could at least point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Fancy Widgets Skin Issue

Yo, ho, hello there, I'm making a skin for Fancy Widgets right now and it's almost perfected. The one thing that is really driving me crazy is that the numbers and the am/pm indicators are missing. The left/right clock background shows up fine, the weather background is there, and all the weather text and icons are visible. But the numbers (which are images) and the am/pm indicators (also images) do not appear on the widget. No elements are hidden in the settings and all the transparency is set to opaque for everything I could find.
I noticed that if I use a different style - ex. digital rather than the flip clock I'm designing - when placing the widget, the numbers & am/pm show up.

Can't change to Black background instead of transparent?

transparency is fancy but it has made it hard for me to read. Can I change the background of the application list and even pull down notifications to black instead of transparent?
Can I also change the white menu's to have a black background?
So far the only thing I found I could change is the bottom soft-key bar. I don't want to use inverted mode either.

Question Pixel themes and notification panel effects

I am wondering how to get more colour theme options when I set a new wallpaper, usually it gives me the same 4 or it may be a mix of a few depending on my wallpapers but I cannot seem to attain a white or grey theme as shown on the pixel 6 advertisement with white widgets and white app icons on grey backgrounds. Is there a way to get more options?
Also, sometimes when I slide down my notification panel it is completely white, and sometimes it is a blurred version of my background, why isn't this consistent?
It's limited to the small number of muted colour selections with no way to add more afaict.
The blurred pull down background is a bug triggered by adjusting the brightness slider.
