[Q]Which apk is this? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a question, which is the apk used for the power menu (when you long-press the power button)? I mixed 2 mods and it doesn't work, my phone just crashes when I long-press the power button.

Nice idea! After hiding the navbar, I quickly realized how much I could use something like this! I'll have to try this out when I get a chance.
Only downside I see is that since we're changing the key layout file, even when the navbar is shown, the volume buttons would still act as home/back. Would be nice for the ROM chefs to have some sort of 'live toggle' so that it would switch to home/back when the navbar is hidden, and then back to default (actual volume) when the navbar is shown.
Cheers and thanks m8!
Op, pm sent.
That's a nice idea but how do you change the volume? You will have to install some kind widget.
Also this increase wear on your buttons, that's how I killed my previous phone.
there's a toggle in AOKP to hide and bring back the toggles, although this would be more convenient it seems like it would be a hassle to change those buttons whenever you needed your volume back
Thanks for the idea just FYI on 4.0.2 GSM the layout file is:
ROOT - SYSTEM - USR - KEYLAYOUT - Generic.kl but it worked just the same. It was item 114 and 115.
Working great so far. Also I put a volume widget on my home screen so that takes care of that.
There's a flashable zip for this on rootz, been using it for several days. I just long press my ringer toggle for volume adjustment.
what i wanna see is this:
tap the power button to show/hide nav bar
double tap to lock screen
hold down to power off
boom.

I could def see this being functional
I love my pitbulls
My bad .dup post
or you could just shrink the nav bar down to 30dp!
still works well and its almost like its not there!
Pretty cool. Thanks. Works like a charm.
Even long presses on the volume replicates the same behaviour as I configured on the Nova launcher :
- Long press on the Home (vol up) key: shows recents apps
- Long press on the Back (vol down) key: kills app

I would lime the volume up to be home and volume down be back...but long presses be normal function......how do I do this?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Doesn't seem to do anything on AOKP 27. The default says WAKE and when I change it and then reboot the volume buttons still handles the volume.
how?
Teach me, please

I think people here are misunderstand the statement. "I just long press my ringer toggle for volume adjustment." He used the built in toggles(slient or vibrate) in the rom to get the the volume screen and make volume adjustments. The long press of the physical volume key is not adjusting the volume once the mod is made.

[Q] How i run this 2.3.4 Apps: ScreenCapture.apk, VoiceDialer.apk and VoiceSearch.apk

How i run this 2.3.4 Apps (i believe no one of this has a icon to launch them):
ScreenCapture.apk: i read is something with the power button but i dunno how?
VoiceDialer.apk: no idea
VoiceSearch.apk: no idea
Anyone?
I think that for Screencapture you need to hold the ON/OFF button and then press Take screenshot.
As for the other two try holding the Search button.
Anyone knows for sure all 3 or some of them?
It is as Random.Guy said.
Those APK files are for system functions.
The voice command ones are activated when holding the search button. The screen capture is for taking a screenshot when holding the power button.
Thanks

Remap multitask to menu?

Any way to do this without root on the Note 4? I believe HTC offers this option on their M7 and M8 phones, so I really hope Samsung did the same since they switched it.
yes please! I believe it can be done but uncertain without decompiling the app doing some recoding and then recompile the results into a .apk file.
Hold the button down....it's menu with a long press of the multitasking button

haha me too i want menu one touch menu and recent long press of home button
I didn't realize the back button still did menu with a long-press. Glad to have learned that rather than having to search the 4 corners of the screen to see where the menu in whatever app is hidden.
When root is found, it should be a simple thing to flip the functionality of it right?
Also, anyone else wish there was a flashlight quick toggle in the notification tray?

How to swap the Camera and Power button?

I have changed my memory card in my device and accidentally I broke the little copper plate under the power button. To solve this problem I would like to swap the two buttons. Is there any way to do this?
Modify /system/usr/keylayout/fih_gpio-keys.kl with a file manager. Scroll down until you find the 0x210 FOCUS key and change to POWER then reboot.
The changed line should look like this:
key 0x210 POWER
EDIT: You don't specify what buttons you want to swap so I assume you want to remap the camera button.
