Hi guys, I'm new here but have Android from few months.
I tried to install MIUI v4 on my Arc S. I unlocked bootloader, installed DoomKernel and modules. When i try to install MIUI pack I've got still black screen after restart, when i tried second time i have "assert failed bla bla bla"...
Can someone help me please?

Hey guys!
So I finally decided to take the leap and install CM9.1
I rooted my phone and installed the "fake" recovery from x-parts.
Then I proceded to flash CM9 baseband for my phone,
then flashing the kernel, boot into recovery and then flash CM9.1 from my sd-card
Problem is I'm getting status 7 when I try to install it!
I checked around the forum and came across this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818280
I'm getting the same lines as the guy there says;
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="LT18i""
What do I do now?
Help would be appreciated!

I was just trying to install CM10 on my Arc S (The Alpha version) when this message came up:
E:Error in /sdcard/root/Arc Jellybean Alpha.zip Status 7.
Instalation aborted.
What am I doing wrong?
Also what do I do now. Its just stuck at the Sony screen with out me being able to return to CWM.

Everytime when I get the status 7 error message. I will follow these steps.
1. Flash the stock rom (in my case .42 firmware ftf) through flash tool.
2. Use the mobile for 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Turn off the phone. Connect in fastboot mode.
4. Falsh the JellyBean (FXP, Arc Fusion or Lupus.) kernel.
5. Enter into Recovery, Flash the ROM, gapps and fix.(if any).
6. Reboot.

Please try new baseband 77 - CM 10 recommended baseband upper then 70
Hi,
I've got a problem. I had installed the FXP141 from the Free Xperia CM10 Project. Yesterday I wanted to update to the new Version FXP146, so I booted into recovery-choose .zip from sd card and installed the new version. The Problem is, that the does not start properly, after the Xperia logo there ist just a black screen with background lights on and thats it.
Could anyone help me?

Flash the FXP 146 kernel first (It will be there in zip file) and then flash the rom
Follow these steps.
1. Install kernel from Inside zip or custom kernel fusion kernel 3.8.
2. Full wipe
3. Flash ROM, Wifi modules (in case of custom kernel) and latest gapps.
4. Reboot.

My Friend gave me his phone as mine "arc s" to root and install new rom
the rooting succeeded then I installed CWM using "SE Extreme Tweak Installer" and it worked well
then I flashed the kernel to "KTG anzu Kernel" and the flashing was OK ..... then I forwarded to install the rom
I intended to install "Xperia Ultimate HD 2.0" but when I chose "install zip from sdcard" it sent error "couldn't mount sdcard" !!!!!
so I flashed the next supported kernel "Advanced stock-4.1.B.0.587-boot_587" also the same error !!!!
Note : I'm using on my phone "Xperia Ultimate HD 2.0" but no errors happened with me like this at all
after that I re-flashed the phone with "Sony_officially_LT18_4.1.A.0.562_NCB.ftf" to recover the original kernel and re-install CWM using SE EXtreme
and installed the rom using it then I flash the supported kernel but the phone freezes after Sony logo
I don't know what happened and the wrong in my job !!!!!
the most thing caught the eye is this : why CWM installed using SE Extreme could mount the scdard normally but after flashing the kernel couldn't mount ???
may any one help me please

You cant use a stock rom with a custom kernel...
If i am not wrong you are now having .562 rom with some kernel which is not stock kernel.
Flash .562 in flashtool and reboot, it will work...
Have you unlocked the boatloader?

If you can use custom kernels, why are you using installing CWM recovery through some other application? Every custom kernel has it's own recovery.

I know I can't using stock rom with a custom kernel
so I've flashed "Sony_officially_LT18_4.1.A.0.562_NCB.ftf" to recover the stock kernel due to the custom kernel didn't work

yea I've did at first .... but is there any way to check if the bootloader is really unlocked or not ??

Hello , I have arc s and i practically flashed all the custom rom successfully without fail . recently i had to re install my windows (7) and install flashtool again. Then the problem happened. I installed flashtool version 0.9.15.0 and also driver from its folder. When i flashed via flashmode using official ftf file ...its working fine . Also everytime i install something(Kernel) in fastboot , it flashes .Now i go to cwm and install custom rom(zip) with full wipe .what i get after is infinite bootloop. i never get pass the kernel image. not even bootanimation shows up.I tried everything and its frustrating that i can't install custom Rom now. Any help from pros would be really appreciated. Thanks

Are you flashing the correct kernel? Or are you hotbooting the kernel by mistake?

Thanks for reply , i was flashing correctly . so far i've tried Iridescent_Zed_III (ics-lupus) , Xperia UltraKat v2.0.1(KK-provided kernel) but no luck . But i tried TouchwizRom 1.4v with superfusion kernel. it worked great. i don't know whats the problem.
