Hey guys,
i will buy me a new bigger sd card for my desire (currently im using the 4gb sdhc card wich was included).
no i got two tiny questions:
1) my 4gb is a goldcard. are any problems known if i use the goldcard utility on the new card? e.g. the desire remembers only the "first" one?
2) what about my ext. partition? wich is the easiest way to "plug'n'play" the new card? i have no experience with ext partitions on windows systems. is it enough to install a ext driver to read it and just simple copy/paste the files? or should i use a existing nandroid backup after creating a ext partition on the new card?
thx for the answers!
regards,
sualfred

1) No, there SHOULD not be any problem...
2) You will not be creating an EXT partition on the whole SDCARD... The EXT(2/3/4) space is meant for APP2SD - meaning your programs will be installed there (if you have a ROM supporting this). The rest of your SDCARD will/should be a normal FAT32 !

windows cannot read the ext file system, if you want to copy and paste your files like that you will have to use a linux live cd
I bought myself a new 8gb MicroSD card to replace the 4gb card I currently have. My rom uses the a2sd ext partition.
Is there anything I need to before I can change cards? I'm guessing i need to partition the new card, do I need to copy the files from the old ext partition to the new one? Or would it just be better to partition and then do a full wipe on my phone?
Cheers

Hello guys.
Basically I need some help with partitioning my micro SD card as even when I have formatted the card when I go to create a new partition it always says you need to delete all partitions before creating a new one. However I have so does anyone have an insight on this?
Furthermore I contacted the program developer and they were utterly useless and blamed me so dont ask me to contact them
minitool partition wizard can help you create a new partition and you dont need to delete all partition. maybe you already solve this problem because it has so long time.
I never heard of petitioning sd cards but i used to use my sd as ram for my android
hi there,
I have used my htc desire for a while and tried a lot of roms. one big problem with it is that if app2sd (all kinds of, stock version, third party...) is enabled, my phone got frozen, and I had to remove the battery to restart. my sd card is class 4, and I changed my card once, the same problem.
anyone here know what's wrong with my phone? any guesses?
thanks in advance,
dm
is your ext4 partition not corrupted? how did you create it?
thanks!
everything is ok if the app2sd thing is disabled. I tried ext1/2/3/4, with or without swap... I use 4ext touch. my sd now: 1g ext4, fat32 for the rest
thanks again
Sd card should be
First partition FAT 32
Second partition EXT4
not the other way around
sent from the Netherlands....
Hi Guys.
I gotta know what format microSD cards need to be for the s4 mini - FAT32? NTFS?
I thinks its fat32
That being said, I recently received a 32GB card but its formatted NTFS. Can i format to FAT32 using CWM ?
Or is it ok formatted as NTFS for use in the s4 mini
thanks guys
Format it to Primary/FAT32 using Minitool Partition Wizard home edition.
