It's not just the player that needs changing, it's a whole bunch of libraries that have been changed and are incompatible with future versions, the old system files and libraries needed to make xloud louder have already been packaged up and put into a zip but none of them have worked so far.
TL;DR
Tried to be done, didn't work
It's really interesting that they would lower the volume. I personally think that the only solution you might have (although I really don't know if this will work) would be to turn on the Hearing Aid option. I have to use that option because I actually wear hearing aids, and it does help. I don't know what it does though. The good news is that my hearing aids have an adapter that allows them to stream audio from the phone via A2DP or use it wired ! It helps me a lot because I can finally hear the music in a normal way and all. I would say though that if the hearing aid thing does not work then i'm at a loss for what to do. Perhaps someone has a solution?

I have tried about 4 different programs that used to work with WM5, but nothing routes the audio properly. Is this a known issue? I read through most of the WM6 threads and saw a lot about VC 1.6, but nothing about this specifically. I like to route mono sound to my bluetooth to listen to music while i work, but now, I load up any bluetooth routing program and my headset beeps like it used to, but the sound still plays out of the speakers. Any help?
Have you tried using Bluemusic http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemusic.
I installed the demo, removed the today plugin and now when I press the button on my bluetooth headset (Jabra JX10) all audio and mic is routed to the headset until I press the button again. I've used it on Skype, and for listening to music.
the only thing you need is to install the widcomm/broadcom bluetooth stack and it will work like a charm!!
and, the soundquality will be MUCH better!

Worx like a charm for me.
Of course to the extent of how crappy s/w running on a crappy h/w can :-(
can someone explain to me on this issue how it works that on certain devices i guess that are designed for hands-free talking only route audio from a phone call rather than all audio as with for example bluetooth speakers one can find. i'm in the market for some bluetooth speakers for my car and i'm wondering how some of these speaker phone devices may work but i gotta understand how these things work first. thanks. feel free to get technical with me. use high-tech achronyms and such. i wanna learn.

main ones u need to look at are a2dp and hsp
thanks a lot.
I know you're supposed to make this change in a RegEdit program, but what is this VJVolubilis.exe -agon part about. Is that a program we're supposed to download?
Has anybody tried and got the Sony Ericsson MW600 to work? I can listen to music and it is seen as a music headset but no calls? it will not connect as a hands-free phone-kit?
I tried to shuffle through all the blue-tooth and connections settings but I can not find any solution?
Any help is very appreciated.

Hello Robert_it.
I've bought it today before seeing your post.
It works as bluettoth headset with calls. As i can remember it shows two devices when you search for bluetooth.I choose the second and it works ok.The problem is how to set bluetooth on phone to be always on .
Hi nsourm,
Thanks for your reply.
This is my second SE Bluetooth I also had the prevoius non-OLED one and loved it.
I have paired up the audio with 2 phones and my Laptop and started up by pairing the second phone..
What I did not know is that you shuffle the Phone and the audio seperatly as I was not using the first on with 2 phones. So it was all down to finger trouble
To activate what audio you want long-hold the "play/pause" button and select (I knew that one) to shuffle the Phone, long-hold the "talk" button to select the phone you want.
This way you can hear music from any of the 3 devices and connect to any of the 2 phone's separately
I did just asume that I was connected to both phones at the same time??
Not a big problem, I still love this little player
The conclusion must be, as in most cases, if in doubt..... READ THE MANUAL!!!

Track names
Hello:
Does this headset show you the track names?.
Mine doesn't show them at all. Also, if someone calls me, it only shows the number, but not its name.

As far as I know this is a well known compatibility problem between Android and these headsets and I heard both the problems you describe are fixable. Have not found the time to google this yet though... if I find something I'll let you know.
Nevertheless this is a great headset with virtually no weaknesses other than its lack of water resistance.

Well, I bouught one from ebay but I still don't have the Atrix with me. I only expect I will be able to volume up and down, answer a phone call and change tracks.

Couldn't find any fix for this issue.
But you're right, its a great headset ^^.
@joyo22
It does all of that, plus you have a fm radio. You can also fast forward or rewind.
Great buy.

It is an excellent accessory and works perfect with Atrix, I have it and do everything
1. identifies the incoming call
2. The FM radio works perfect
3. open and change the songs on the cell
4. autonomy is very good load
5. sound quality is good
6. the charger is the same cell so stay with 2 chargers.
Among others it is a good buy I recommend it
is there a way to flash a non a2dp earpiece (plantronics 240 explorer to be exact) with something that will make it play music as well as answer calls. would love to hear my music throughout the day. i have searched everywhere and super BT mono was the closest thing but it didnt work.
thanks
What do you mean by "flash" a bluetooth device?
As far as I know, both the phone and headset need to support a2dp to stream music.
yeah, like a firmware update to the earpiece or something like that. my earpiece does not support a2dp and was trying to figure out a way to make it.
That's not possible. You just need to buy a new headset that supports a2dp.
thats what i was afraid of, I found these guys that do support it. at&t has them for like 90 bucks but they are 30 here. just in case someone else is lookin.
http://www.all4cellular.com/product...lus-bluetooth-stereo-headset-refurbished.html
thanks for the help
The only way it would be upgradeable is if you go to the support section for your specific headset and they have a firmware update that has a2dp if the device can support it

Can the Bluetooth audio lag be fixed?
I guess not.
I think that too :-\ Every Android device I tested my Samsung HS 3000 with produced roughly the same amount of lag.
Seems odd to me that they can't fix this crap. I hate my iPad but at least the BT doesn't suck.
...maybe you ought to post this in the proper forum...Q&A?

Maybe I won't and you can deal with the angst.
Bluetooth Lag
I had (and still have) the exact problem with my TF101. The only workaround I found was to use BSPlayer for video, which has an adjustable audio offset. +500ms was fine. An app that detects the type of BT headphone and automatically compensates for it would be good.

My problem is I use my tablet to pair with my hearing aids and rely on the device for multiple uses; I lost most of my hearing from an RPG blast. The aids I use are made by Siemens and their bluetooth interface app is only made for android. This allows me to stream audio directly to the hearing aids without blasting the audio output to everyone around me. Video calls are generally much easier since I can lip read and visualize expresssions to understand the context of spoken words. When the audio lags the video the whole thing goes bad really quick. I was hoping for some easy fix but it doesn't appear that's gonna happen.
Hello. I change phones alot and have noticed that some phones(all android) have better bluetooth playback than others.
I had a oneplus 7 pro before this phone and the bluetooth quality to my truck was great and had no issues but with this phone the highs sounds scratchy or like if the speaker is bad. But if i connect it with a wire connection it sounds great. Everything with the 2 phones is the same. On both i was using the galaxy watch and pretty much the same apps. On a previous phone the note 8 i had the same issue but it was a different car. Seems like its the way samsung handles bluetooth.
Has anyone had this issue? If so was there a fix?
Thanks

What do you mean?
The only two things I think about is the codec used that may be different across devices, and the Bluetooth settings that sync the phones volume with the headset (the differences are noticeable).
Since no DAC is used in Bluetooth, I don't think it can comes from them, for a same headset.
On Samsung phones you should run the adapt sound process. Try this.
I tried with the sync volume off too and no improvement.
I looked for the adapt sound and my phone doesn't have that setting. Or is it something different?
It's in Sounds and Vibration 》 Advanced Sound settings 》Sound Quality and effects 》 Adapt sound
You have to do this in a quiet place and ensure to answer honestly. If you can't hear the beeping press no.
After doing this the sound quality is night and day difference.
Ok found it. Ill play with it a bit. Thanks
I've had issues sometimes with audio being piped through the "Calls" Bluetooth channel versus the "Audio" channel so worth checking as the quality is obviously night and day.
I also like enabling Dolby Atmos on my Note 10+ for music so worth playing with too. Additionally, I recently found Samsung's Sound Assistant app which let's you customize a bunch of sound settings so worth checking out as well:

Is there an easy way to tell if the audio is going through the call channel?

Easiest is probably just uncheck calls in your phones BT settings for your truck (and make sure audio is enabled). If the sound is still not great then this isn't the issue.
Sorry to respond to an old thread, but I was wondering if any of this fixed the OP's problem. I followed all the recommendations here and on other threads but have not been able to solve my recent Bluetooth audio problem. The sound has been terrible lately.
Same issue here on my s10+. When playing any audio in my car via BT i hear the distortion/hissing noise especially when the song has a higher treble frequency.
I have just about tried all fixes i could find on Google, and no luck.
When connecting to my ear buds (Jabra Elite 65t) it disappears and checked in developer mode that it supports to AAC for BT Codecs.
But when connecting to the car it reverts to SBC.
The issue clearly lies on Samsungs side, as my brother has a Huawei p30 Pro, also has bluetooth 5 and plays amazingly well in all aspects (Bass-Mids-Treble).
I know I'm posting this almost a year later, but i am desperately looking for a fix.
SN. I have recently updated my phone to Android 10, despite all the complaints to Samsung from many users... Sadly this issue has not being fixed on my side.
From what i see online, people have given up on Samsung and opted for Rooting their Samsungs and installing Viper4Andriod.
Has any one done this and can confirm that it fixed the issue?
