[Q] Custom APKs for MultiDPI - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

A friend of mine was showing me a MultiDPI pack for the Galaxy S that is essentially a couple of stock samsung APKS (ie. dialer) that are tweaked to look nice with a custom DPI. Since setting my DPI to 200 with a build.prop edit, I just can't go back to stock. More content fits on the screen, text is smaller and sharp, it really should have come this way. The only problem I see is with the dialer and email (exchange) app, which doesn't fit to screen. Is there anything available for our phone or in the pipeline?

Density question

Hey guys quick question. I just came off of MIUI and came back to Calkulin and I noticed a big difference in what I believe is the density. The phone looked a lot nicer on MIUI. What is the best way to change the density for this phone and what is the best setting? What programs or apps will get messed up as a result?
Look up "LCD Density Modder Pro" to manage screen density. I had issues with Market previously and my screen density was a non-standard 209. I personally use HDPI (240) as my density now with no issues.
240 is what comes stock on our phones..I'm currently running 200 and I love the smaller, neater look..going back to 240 makes it look like a kids toy to me..some apps won't look right..the dialer and calculator being some of them..I use exdialer and I really like it over stock

LOW <240 LCD Density DPI themes...

does anyone know of any projects in place for this?
These seems to be the apps that need this the most:
Samsung email client with no security
samsung launcher and dialer and contacts.
Now when running on low dpi I have found alternatives for all of these to make it work with my 180 LCD Density DPI. however just curious if anyone knows of someone who is working on themes for low lcd density dpi?
Did you get the stock dialer to work under 180? I'm running 200 and looking for a fix. THe dialer doesnt fill the screen.

That's because it's scaling the dialer because it's themed (TW based roms) if your on a CM ROM then it looks normal and not shrunken to the top left corner.
Also makes the calculator and clock look the same way.
Don't think there is a fix for that mate. Go CM9.

[Q] Customizing Framework/SystemUI XML Files to Change System Font Colors

Hey, I've got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Verizon, SCH-I515) that I'm working on fully customizing to my liking and I had a few questions I was hoping to get some help with, mainly pertaining to changing the default font colors. I'm running Paranoid Android 3.1 (JB 4.2.2) as well as using Nova Launcher Prime. The basic idea of what I'm doing is changing the entire phone from a dark themed phone into a light themed phone. This includes everything, the dialer, settings menu, notifications menu, etc.
I'm currently using Ninjamorph to find all the image files to replace with their light counterparts I'm doing and though sometime tedious, I seem to be slowly finding all the files I need. The problem is I need to change the font colors now from light to dark so that I can see them with my lighter backgrounds. From what I understand, I'll need to go to the framework-res.apk/res/color and inside those XML files will be the coding for the font colors.
1.) If I can just email the XML file to myself from my phone and open it on my computer, what program can I use to read the XML file to change the values I need to? I figure after that I can download the edited file to my phone and use Ninjamorph to put it back into my framework-res.apk.
2.) Would I be able to change the background in the app drawer from black by default to white, from one of these XML files as well?
3.) Is there any way that this white housing (http://www.ebay.com/itm/new-Housing...261?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20cc67e87d) would fit my phone? It's designed for i9250 but if it'll fit I'd like to try it.
I attached some screen shots below of my phone so you can see the basic idea of what I'm trying to do and where I'm at. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!
Nothing guys? Really?

[tip] Change your DPI for a better experience.

So I was on Slim Bean AOSP ROM while I wated for the latest version of JB Domination theme. One thing I loved about that ROM was that the DPI was set to 256 by default and it was awesome.
I mean I got back to stock and it was at 320... like comeon its soooo huge.
So I would suggest you guys to try it out. Set the lcd density to 256 in build.prop and then used xposed framework to re-set samsung stock apps to 320 DPI. (Cam, Contacts and Calculator). You might need to freeze the Samsung Keyboard in Titanium Backup before you change DPI as it'll keep crashing.
Don't ask me how to do this, just a tip for those who know how to get around it.
I think this thread isn't so useful. Why? Cause every person has different methods of making their phone comfortable. Whether they like default view or the smaller fonts for those who have sharp eyes.

[Q] Quickcircle and lower DPI

Hey!
I have changed the stock DPI value (640) to 540 by changing the value in build.prop, everything looks awesome apart from the quickcircle applications. I have managed to change the DPI of the clock widget to back to 640 DPI by manipulating com.lge.clock, so far so good. The call log and camera applications are still way off tho, as well as the animation light.
Does anybody know what apk's I need to change to fit the camera, call log and animation light in the quickcircle case?
Changing the dpi of com.android.keyguard back to stock fixes the animation light, sharing here since ive heard that other people have had troubles with it too. Still problems with call logs tho, cant figure that one out!
Changing the DPI to stock on 'SystemUI' fixes all of it apart from the call logs. Weird. Obviously your notification bar/etc will be at stock DPI also.
