I have installed Mini Tool Partition Wizard and some other random programs that can partition your hard drives but when I open them, my sd isn't shown up in the list.
I haven't got open debugging so that's not the issue, and I've tried from all the USB Ports.
Any ideas?
If you're sdcard is connected in mtp mode then it might not recognize it, try mounting it or use a card reader.

How can i prevent conecting it in mtp mode? I wanted to mount the card with a card reader but i have only for M2 card from my old phone.
Should be an option in settings, though depends on your ROM. With stock or stock based ROMs then it's in connectivity, miui is mount only etc.

Enter CWM and create partions directly from CWM
On Arconium I think it's the first option in settings.
I did it with CWM. Thanks!

When in recovery, go to the mounts and storage menu, then choose to mount sd card, connect your device to your pc, and mass storage mode will kick in

I am facing the similar problem, I am struck in FreeXperia logo on screen. Device seems to recognised.
I am facing similar problem as I have to push .zip to /sdcard/ location. After a long process I was able to see devices when I executed "adb devices". But now I can't push .zip files because of permission problems. I get Permission denied. How to fix it.. ??
Laptop should have SD card slot, insert your micro SD card into laptop SD card slot with the help of SD card adapter then put into SD card then put your micro SD card back to your phone, boot into recovery then install.

Darn. Wish I didn't have to do that. But If I have to, I will.
It shows up in MiniTool Partition Wizard though.
I just reflashed stock and it still doesn't pop up. What format should I make the SD card?
FAT32 to be safe.
Sure the drivers are installed? You can check in Device Manager.
My phone sometimes doesn't update my SD card files when I connect it via USB to my pc, while is on MTP mode.
Let's say I create a new .txt file on my sd root, or anywhere on my SD card, then connect it to the pc, the file isn't there. I have to switch to mass storage, and when I do that, my phone reboots because JB has a real problem with mass storage and no one could f*ing tell me what is the problem with mass storage and JB roms, even when they have no problems with it, and then it works and I can really see the files and folders updated.. Any idea about what may be wrong with my MTP?
Also, it just does update when I reboot my phone.. but the rest, nope. up!
That happens
I thinks it's because in MTP mode, not all the files are read again
Maybe try unmounting sdcard and then mounting and then connecting

But how is that it happens to me just in JB? I have had no problems with MTP before.. Unmounting SD card gives me a reboot, so I guess it does the same as my useless mass storage :l
Hey guys need a bit of help. I have a HTC One X (Endev) running Cyanogenmod 10.1.2. Which recovery do you have, think that Philz have sideload option. Go to recovery, select sideload and transfer rom from pc to sd and then flash.

If you use windows pc, go to Control Panel and find Auto Play, in that you can find "Device" and changed setting " Ask me every time". If so when you connect the device with PC windows will pop up waning for "Formatting Disk" and just chose "cancel" only.

So you didn't wipe the system, you can boot into rom and use phone? I thought that you wiped everything and have no rom on sd card to flash, that's why i told you to go to recovery and transfer rom to sd from sideload and flash, obviously you have some other problem.
Just go into recovery and format the sdcard then mount the sdcard in the mounts and storage menu ! Why so difficult
That's what i meant
Sorry, This is going to sound completely noobish but how do I format the SD card in recovery ??
Edit: Found the format etc, when I go to format it says error mounting /sdcard
UPDATE: I dont know how this worked but I reinstalled stock recovery OTA and my problem has resolved its self. Thanks for all of the advice guys
Nice
