[Solved]Touch Screen Sensitivity - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I'm not a noob, but I have yet to find a way to successfully turn up my touch screen sensitivity. I'm on Cm9. Is there a way in like the build.prop file? Or files in usr/idc? I really need help. Thank you!

So with all the beating around the bush I feel like a prom queen at a circle jerk. Please just answer the question or tell me that you don't know the answer. I mean, come on, get real. Stop all the BULL**** hemhawing around about the fixes or the possible answers. Either help me out or shut the **** UP YOU ASSHOLE.
SO HERE IT IS, ONE LAST TIME. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IF THERE IS ANY WAY TO ADJUST THE KEYBOARD SENSITIVITY ON THE KINDLE FIRE. EITHER YES OR NO, AND IF YES, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DO IT AND YOU HAVE MY UNDYING GRATITUDE, IF NOT, GO TO HELL, AND STOP WASTING MY TIME.
THANKS, JEFF FOX [email protected]

[Q] Can't access CWD

So I phoned my mother telling her she was right and that I was special...
Anywho.
I have Syndicate ROM Frozen 1.2 on my Epic. Well, I took out the battery because I thought my phone had frozen a while back and now I can't see the boot logo, but once it's done turning on all I had to do is to slide out the keyboard and the phone shows the home screen and all is well. Well because of this "blackout" during inital boot, I can't access CWD since I can't see the options (I want to install a theme). The closest related thing I did find was here, but it's solved in a way that I currently can't afford (that's right, I'm poor). So the question is:
What can I do to try and fix this?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Best bet would be to Odin or Heimdall in stock and start from there. Sounds like either the param.ifs or bootloaders are damaged. The 2nd post tells you about Heimdall and doing just param.ifs, boot.bin and sbl.bin if you choose:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052813
But not knowing what else is damaged maybe a full Odin tar would be best.
Awesome, thank you. It did the trick

Kindle Fire 2 Build Prop Needed for Google Play.

Hey guys. I've been browsing for the past day and a half and I can't find any information about getting a build prop file for the Kindle Fire 2. I was kinda surprised it wasn't a sticky at the top, like most important things.
Can anyone direct me to a post of a new build prop for the Google Play Store? I'm trying to get better app compatibility.

No problem
I know you are new here (9 posts), but traditionally we hit the "thanks" button when someone helps.
I don't much care since i have plenty of thanks, but it helps keep track of who the more helpful folks are. It's not a perfect system since trolling can get you thanked, but generally it works.

[Q] Thanks Hashcode for the new CM11!! OTG?

Hashcode thank you so much for all the work that you have done for the Kindle Fire HD! The new CM11 is working great on my device! I have read several of your post stating that you are trying to find the time to work on the OTG problem with the Kindle Fire HD. Have you or anyone else made any progress? I have seriously spent hours upon hours researching this topic on the internet. Watched every youtube video I could fine and have searched the XDA forums. I have tried every powered USB hub configuration I could possibly think of and I just can't find the solution. Is there something that I am missing? If you have any suggestions, could you or anyone else please point me in the right direction? I use my Fire HD for meetings and such at the office and a mouse, keyboard and flash memory would be so convenient!
Thank you again for all of your hard work!!
Regards,
Beaker319
It's disabled in the kernel, if you want it enabled you will have to compile your own kernel and flash it.

Thank you for your reply! Is there a place I can start for a tutorial on how to do this? I really enjoy a puzzle!!
OK I have some experience with this but it's a bit different for mobile devices. Lookup a basic tutorial on Google for compiling a Linux kernel. And what I would do is install a Linux distro, like Ubuntu 13.10, and download the cm sources for cm 11 following hashcode's instruction on his post cm 10.1 post, but use the cm 11 and such repos instead. You will need I would recommend around a 50 GB partition for Ubuntu if you plan on doing this, because the source code of cm + the device tree is at least 15gb, probably bigger for cm, I am compiling a different ROM so it is probably less in my case, anyways the compilation of the ROM takes up a huge amount of space, but I'm a but unaware of the kernel compiling process for android devices in one sense, I am not sure if the kernel is recompiled by the ROM compilation or if you have to do it manually. If you have to do it manually you will want to load up a custom defconfig that hashcode made for our device then check off the otg support before compiling. If you never have compiled a Linux kernel before, I recommend trying to compile one for your PC first to get the hang of it.

After doing all the reading I can, I'm of the opinion that it just won't work. If it was as simple as enabling it in the kernel, I would bet that it would be done by now.
However, I don't know anything, so I'm at the mercy of all the smart people here!

The question is whether OTG detection is implemented for this device, there are two power controllers on this device that may handle ID pin of a USB port, and can handle power output for connected device. First twl6030, I believe it is used just as multi-channel power controller for SoC an other periferial devices, it also has OTG module and may supply power to connected device.
Second smb347, is actually a battery charget and I believe VBUS is connected to it, it supports USB power output of up to 750mA, but I am not sure if there is a driver in linux kernel that may use this IC to output this power.
So I believe it's possible to have OTG wokring, but it may need some R&D and not just enabling it in config.

Why would this be "disabled"? It looks like everyone wants this.. Did someone really "turn it off"? Doesn't make any sense.

you can...but you should look at FireStarter. It works on the Fire Stick and is a great launcher. And you don't need root to use it. I have used Nova Launcher before on Fire Sticks but I personally prefer FireStarter.
ok thats great thanks for the advise im using firestater anyway looks like there will not be much advantage to using nova then as unlike firestarter i would have to keep launching it to take effect i guess. thanks

FireTV gen 1 development dead?

I really thought it was coming back, but for months, many problems are going unsolved. Nothing is being updated, and no more news.
I'm on the latest prerooted software
So far, I can't get a live wallpaper, or any wallpaper for that matter.
I can't disable the ime without everything crashing.
No Google Play Services or Store.
etc.
Will anyone help me for the things listed?
Thanks.

your comments make you sound unappreciative to everything rbox has done so far. How in the world would you think this was a step forward? You don't like it? Develop on your own, don't whine about what you perceive as a lack of progress. I guarantee it won't make him work harder/faster.

It's not an attack towards rbox >.>
Every time I ask a question about firetv development everyone attacks me for this same reason..
I've messaged rbox and he understands I'm not attacking him.
I can't understand how you would blow this out of proportion.
It's a question, and I would hope there is more than person developing for the device.... That is one of the reasons I brought up this question.

nope just rbox. Nobody else has posted roms or recoveries. It eventually happens to every aging device.
What makes you think the new ROM (if any) will solve your issues?
