[Q] Touch Recovery - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
Where can I get Touch Recovery for locked Bootloader?
... mit meinem Heiligtum

touch recovery that you see in devs section is a custom kernel,so for unlocked only, maybe someday someone will make it for locked devices

[Q] What is needed to install new rom on WILDFIRE S?

Hello folks,
I have a question. Im new at all this modding roms and etc. I have an unlocked HTC Wildfire S Marvel EU. I want to install a ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445517
There are given some instructions. They include visiting recovery mode in bootloader. but when i turn on it it gives me exclamation mark in a red triangle, i have searched for info about it, but nowhere seemed to be written about the reason of this behaviour.
So my qestion is: what do i need beside an unlocked bootloader to install this or other roms? S-OFF? or what else?
I would be grateful if ill get some info.
1. Unlocked Bootloader if you're phone is S-ON, S-OFFed phone.
2. CWM
3. Custom ROM.
I guess these are the things needed.
You would need a custom recovery like clockwork mod. That little thing with the triangle is HTCs recovery for updates but if your want a ROM you need to replace that with clockwork mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213229 when you are done you can root your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275 or you can put your custom ROM on there

so i need the S-OFF?
As danielstar13 said you need either S-OFF or if you're S-ON you need to unlock the bootloader using htcdev
You don't need s-off you can go to HTCdev.com and unlock your boot loader and you will be ok

Looks like you need to flash clockworkmod recovery.

[Q] No wifi/radio aftter flashing.

Hi everyone,
Recently I've acquired a rooted HTC one x. It's hboot is 1.36. I wiped everything and flashed over a SlimBean RC7. installation was a success, however, wifi and radio isn't working. Initially i thought it was because i flashed the ROM wrongly. Again, i wiped and flashed another rom, IceCoolJelly and yet the radio and wifi isn't working. It can't even detect any wifi.I tried to flash the latest radios, yet to no avail.
How do i rectify my situation? is my Hboot too old as 1.39 is out? I've tried searching the forums but it's all about the hardware wifi fault. Mine is both wifi signal and radio signal not present.
Desperate to get my phone back up and running :/ do help guys.
Just checked, bluetooth isn't working too. Is my whole radio part just collapsed?

it doesn't depend when you flash boot.img but you should do fastboot flash boot boot.img and in recovery make full wipe again flash the rom and then the gapps...it SHOULD work...you need only to flash modules if you installed a custom kernel...
Try NCX Kernel and flash the modules, or make what @One-X-master say
im having this same problem as well no matter which rom i try . phone just stays stuck in airplane mode, i made sure i correctly flashed and wiped everything

Really flashed boot.img which is in Rom.zip? If not do this in fastboot, if yes but not working flash another custom kernel and flash the modules in recovery...
That are really the easiest things to do...

Got it up and running thank you! So if I'd like to put a custom kernel in, I will need to fastboot the kernel image first and then flash the modules (execute zip in CWM?)

Put the boot.img from kernel in fastboot folder and flash that per fastboot with fastboot flash boot boot.img and then fastboot erase cache and the kernel.zip flash in recovery

With s-off or special bootloader hack there would be an chance for installing kernels like with nexus phones or other phones which allows that but tegra 3 is really hard to s-off

[Q] [Bricked] Flashed kernel for wrong device

Was downloading ARHD but downloaded the wrong one for the One instead. I unknowingly flashed the kernel for the One and ended up bricking my device (fastboot commands don't work). Is there a way to unbrick it?
Sure you applied the Fastboot commands correctly ?
Does Fastboot devices give any return ?
Try to do the factory reset over fastboot..and reboot...

One X wont work

Hello
I have tried to install a custom rom, viperx. This whit success. but wanted to go back to stock when i did not get all to work.
Followed the guide here to go back to stock Y13. The problem then was that the touch screen did not work when i needed simcard pin.
Now when i tried to go back i can not get any of my nandroid backups to work, not the one whit vipex or any of the older one.
When i flash the stock boot.img and restor nandroid backup its hust stuck on the ONE logo.
How can i fix this?
I have fastboot 1.72
and CWM recovery.
You need a nandroid backup with a mainversion for your cid which was installed with 1.72 hboot otherwise they won't work

U know where i can find this?
My CID is: HTC__Y13
You can find it in the thread where the nandroid backup collection is...if links are dead try to find one guy who has the same cid and has maybe the backup if not use Google and just type in HTC one x cid (your cid then) nandroid backup....somewhere you should find latest one
