stays at downlading - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi I want to install ClockworkMod Recovery. booted my phone into FastBoot Mode and then the computer installed the driver and the phone got to "download do not turn off and it just stays at download "so whats the problem my phone is rooted with GALAXY NEXUS TOOLKIT V5.4
so how do I install ClockworkMod Recovery so i can install another rom

just download rom manager and have it flash it if you're already rooted... or use fastboot to push the recovery over

thx
thx it worked but anyway whay did the phone do it

Now since you flashed cwm go back to gnex toolkit and flash the touch based recovery. Puts less strain on the buttons especially power. Hopefully it won't get stuck on downloading.

Clockwork Recovery ends up in red question mark

After installing ROM Manager and ofcourse the ClockworkMod Recovery tool i always end up with a black screen and a red question mark when i push "Reboot into Recovery".
I have to download again the ClockworkMod Recovery tool will it work, but after a reboot i end up in the same story as above. Tried to download old versions of it, but i get an error message when i try to do that.
Softwarenr: 1.15.405.4
Radio: Latest leaked version 5X
Anyone an idea what is going on?
have you installed the latest recovery? go to rom manager and at the very bottom theres a 'other clockwork recoverys' button and from there download the latest one and after that should be fine
When i get this problem i go onto my sdcard and in the clockworkmod folder i delete any downloaded recoveries. Then i redownload the latest and it works fine.
I have downloaded the newest version from day one. When i download it, after that it works, but after a reboot or two, it goes down again and i have to download it again. Not that it's a real serious problem, but i do like a Android without bugs
i think that you must fake-flash it....when in re triangle press VolUP + POWER and flash update.zip then you should be in your recovery

[Solved + open question] Flashed to Stock 4.3, no data, custom recovery wont stick

So I had android 4.1.2 with root, keep getting the updates, so I went and found the 4.3 rooted rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541900). I have stock recovery, but I was able to get rom manager to install it (since I had supersu). Flash it last night, then flashed the wif fix. After I installed the 4.3 rom, my phone was telling me to still update, not sure why.
So now my phone is stuck in this weird state.
No root access
4.3 installed (MK3)
Looks like the previous stock recovery (doesnt say KNOX or whatever for 4.3, just QUALCOM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE)
I cant flash any custom recovery's (CWM or twrp) through odin (3.07) they dont stick.
Factory Reset
In Rom Manager under Recovery Setup
Current Recovery: ClockworkMod 6.0.2.8
Latest Recovery: ClockworkMod 6.0.4.5
Idealy I would like to keep root access, but at this point, I REALLY want mobile data. This morning I found a few post that suggested the ##72786#, because I had no phone number it was (000-000-96??) or something. So now it shows my phone number, I could and can still make calls and send text.
Help!
Thanks!
[EDIT] Solved
So, I roughly followed this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2538991
1) Did the Auto Root through Odin
2) Installed superSu
3) got root
4) flashed twrp via odin
5) Used Rom manager to get into recovery
6) flashed the MK3 modem and knox app remover
7) wiped delvik and cache
8) rebooted and got mobile data again!
Open Question: So when I press down vol + home button + power, I only get the stock recovery (green android guy), how do I get it to go to custom recovery without rom manager?
Thanks again!

Sounds like your in download mode, power off phone, try volume up, home, power button together, as soon as you see booting recovery in top left corner, let go.
sent from my GS3

Stuck at Booting TWRP

Hello guys, there is a problem with my tab Lets hope you can help to me
I decided to root my tablet (T210) as i did on my other androids. I went to this thread There was no problems with odin. (I have experience about odin and everything ) Then i get in to recovery. There was no problems. I decided to boot up. Then a message appeared. Do u want to root blahblah. I said yes. Then it stuck at keeping booting to recovery. I flashed philz touch recovery too and i have same problem now. I cant reach my external sd with any of this recoveries. I can reach download mode and im downloading rooted firmware. BTW i used adb push option to push a rom to my tablets internal sd. But when i flashed it in recovery it says done and says reboot device. But its still booting to recovery.
Thanks who will help meh

Booting Clockworkmod Recovery

I used odin to install CWM recovery on SGH-T999 4.1.2 . Then rooted the phone. I also installed Rom Manager with the latest CWM Recovery. I can not get into CWM recovery from either Rom Manager or using the Home/VU/Power buttons combo. It always goes to the Android System Recovery. But if I odin again with no Flags, and pull battery after odin , then I can get into it once by Home/VU/Power. Looks like after 1st boot the other recovery takes over.
I tried removing Rom Manager and installing it , but it did not help. Attahced is the picture of the phone when booting into other Recovery.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I found the fix, when booting in CWM recovery the first time, you have to select YES to over ride the Stock recovery.

Recovery Fail!

So two days ago I thought about installing Vision X rom on my Note 3 (T Mobile).
I downloaded the ROM and then backed up my current ROM (nandroid). I had Phillz touch recovery then.
Then I thought about going to TWRP and thus I downloaded the latest zip for my phone and flashed it via Phillz upon trying to reboot into recovery it got stuck in the screen "Rebooting Recovery...".
When I restarted it would still try to reboot into recovery and get stuck. I got out of that by going into download mode and then selecting "Restart Phone".
After that I looked for solutions and upon failing to find any I thought about going back to stock and starting from ground zero. I managed to flash the latest stock using Odin however I forgot to do a factory reset before hand.
When I tried to do a factory reset in my, now stock, phone it failed and then got stuck trying to get into recovery. It would flash "Rebooting Recovery..." then restart and flash that in a loop.
I have lost my root as well in the process and trying to root using Odin and CF-Root just get's me back in the recovery boot loop. I can use the phone OK however this is not a stable situation.
I'm sure I've made some serious errors in the tinkering and would like to get my recovery back. I really love Custom Roms. Any kind and knowledgeable souls out there to help me in my cause?

Go to the Playstore and download TWRP Coordinator and then
use it to install the latest TWRP recovery for your phone.
Once you can get back into TWRP recovery you need to flash
the cf-autoroot for your phone. Be sure you flash the CORRECT
version of cf-autoroot for your phone's model.
Good luck!

The app is constantly crashing!
It would start for a second then close. I tried the TWRP manager as well with the same result.
I've lost root access when I Odined back to stock, won't I need root access to install new recoveries?
Sounds like you flashed the stock 4.4 firmware and now need recovery to root. Flash this TWRP file using Odin http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/hltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.1-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar
Once you flash it, you need to boot into recovery to install supersu to root.
Switch off the Galaxy Note 3 (remove the battery and reinsert if needed)
Next, press and hold simultaneously Volume Up, Home and Power.Release the buttons when the screen flickers and wait for the TWRP menu.
Select Reboot, then System and install Supersu for root.
Once booted, open Supersu to update it and grant permission.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
