I have heard 3 band mics on the jack are compatible with the kindle fire can anyone confirm. I want to buy a mic for the kindle fire but do not know what is compatible
The Apple 3 band mid works perfect. You can get it from amazon or the Apple retail store

So I decided to try bluetooth portable speakers with the Kindle fire hdx 8.9 and am pleased to say that even though it is locked tight in Amazons ecosystem they got the sound output right. Might have less to do with the hdx and more to do with the lepow modre bluetooth speaker I was using though. No stuttering and crystal clear audio quality. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the DSP manager on the HDX 8.9 though?
No issues with bluetooth with my Velodyne vFrees either. As for sound there are a few apps out there that may help.
Hello,
My kiddo seems to have lost my remote for the fire tv. I have since been using USB wireless keyboard. However, I have found some apps do not work well with it. I see the remote is sold for $30. For another $55 I can just buy a 2nd system. If I buy a 2nd fire tv, can I use the remote that comes with it on both fire tv devices?
Yes. But it is a pain and not with sync-resyncing effort. Keep looking. Or grab a game controller for $20 off amazon till You find remote. Staples is sell whole firetv for $71 with coupon. Code.

When you pair the remote with the second Fire TV, the first Fire TV will no longer see the remote. Since the first Fire TV has no remote attached it will be searching for one, so you just need to hold the home button on the remote for a bit for the first Fire TV to see it again. You'll have to do this everytime you switch to a different Fire TV. This is the behavior I observed when powering on a Fire TV that has no remote. I'm not sure if the remote-less Fire TV can find the remote if it is already on or sleeping. You may need to reboot the Fire TV every time you switch.
The new Amazon fire tv game controller 2015 edition works, I get it to pair, but then I can't get sound to work at all.
Not through the headset, nor through my TV.
I'm super bummed. I picked up two of these expecting them to work.
Do I have to buy an extra Echo (or Echo dot) to manage the household appliances aloud (Alexa); or is it just enough to Fire TV (2017) through its remote?
I begin to think that almost everyone is almost as confident as me that maybe "Echo devices" is nothing more than powerful speakers and 7 waiting microphones? All actions (words) of Alexa are made on Amazon servers and there is no need for specific hardware in place in the user's apartment?

Well I have an Echo and 2 Kindle fire tablets and a couple of Alexa ac outlets. And it's for sure easier to control the outlets with the Echo, but you still need something with a screen and keyboard for the initial setup. I'm not sure the Fire TV will act as the Hub on it's own. I don't use the fire TV anymore after getting an Nvidia shield TV

I understand you about NVIDIA, but it's expensive for me.
I also put Fire TV in question for purchase, if it is not enough (except Amazon 4k, I have NETFLIX by SONY) for independent communication through ALEXA and managing "Smart home devices" (Very important to me) without Echo ...
Echo, I also think there is no built-in hub (I mean the cheap option ECHO DOT).
I do not know how and by whom to get an answer for "Fire TV own capabilities" through Alexa?
I got my new fire tv about a month ago and discovered that you can play games from the Amazon store. I spent nearly $40 on an official Amazon game controller only to discover that it was discontinued with the latest update to the fire tv.
I also have an Xbox 360 controller, but there's nowhere on the fire tv to plug it in, and I'm not sure if it'll pair with the fire tv.
Is there a workaround that will let me actually use the Amazon controller, or am I out of luck?
