Nandroid Backup Please! -_O - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

Could anyone provide Nandroid Backup of a clean Stock ROM? The MD5 file was missing from mine, so I couldn't restore. Indian or American, doesn't matter. Though I'd prefer Indian. Or are flashable Zip files available? Thanks for any kind of help!

did you bricked your phone? why don't you flash it with odin instead? its faster and easier.

I did not. Could you provide links for the files required? -_-

you could get full guide on doky's post under development section

I did just that.

I have 2.3.6

I have seen some requests for a dump of the rom after the upate to 2.3.6. I installed the cwm recovery from another post and did a nandroid backup. What files are needed?

You should have a boot.img and a system.ext4.tar file in your clockwokmod backup folder. Please upload those. Thanks
Sent you a pm...

Thanks to gattman for his work. I'll be posting a guide soon that will let you have root and be on 2.3.6 if it works out.

Try doing an advanced restore with CWM with just the system file and not boot.img and let us know how it goes.
In English, please xD
I'm willing to help, however, I'm very inexperienced. I've flashed what was http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21782185#post21782185
What else?
Is it with ROM manager or something? And do I download the i927_236.zip and flash through Odin or something?

Has nothing to do with ROM manager, extract the zip and you should get two files. Contact me and I'll walk you through this.
Oui, I see the two files. What now?
What's the difference between Nandroid and Titanium Backup?

Would there be any way to host the 2.3.6 stock rom for the glide again? I need to flash back to stock and get stock recovery but can't seem to find the stock rom anywhere.
Thank you very much.

This is directly related to the discussion on your other thread, so IMO not correct (and also confusing) to create a new thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/how-to-proceed-to-s-off-boot-loader-t2922163

No backup, need assistance.

Hi. So I ran the FUU full wipe and then the no wipe FUU in order to update the firmware to install the latest version of ViperROM. However in the process I lost everything, and since I do not have a backup on the phone it will not allow me to install the new ROM. Can someone please direct me to the files I need with my new firmware 3.28.401.7 to get a backup that I can flash to my device via fastboot. I already tried downloading Nandroid backups and flashing those. However the files were not in .img format and I tried to see if I could use the Nandroid backup with TWRP and no dice. Any help that can be provided would be appreciated. In the meantime I will go back to using my POS Galaxy S4 until I can manage to get this fixed.

First of all, shame on you.
Every ROM and MOD thread tells you SPECIFICALLY to make a backup before you flash in their OP.
Now...
What backups were you trying to use? Did you try @Mr Hofs stock backups?
Try this link.
What was your cid and mid? There are a limited amount of RUU files around the forum. This may be an option for you as well

I do understand that making backups is necessary. However I didn't think about it for flashing new firmware, nor did the instructions mention doing that on the ViperRom site here http://venomroms.com/viperonem8_3-0-0-requirements/ I did try using those backups in the link. However I am not sure if they would work with my CID being 11111111. In any case none of the unziped files were in .img when I tried using fastboot and when I tried to flash them with TWRP nothing went through. If there is something I am missing here let me know. Generally I do ok installing ROMs or mods. For me things just tend to get a bit messy when firmware is involved.

The first step on the link you provided - copied and pasted:
"1:Backup everything that is important for you. Location: SD Card, but safer would be to your PC."

Anyways, here is a link to the way I use to update firmware. It's super easy and fast.

All of the stock backups I have downloaded are in zip format. Can I simply change them over to .img and then from there adb sideload them? If there is something I am missing I would love it if someone could help walk me through this. I already changed the CID so I should be good there.
The nandroid backups are in zip format. You need to flash TWRP recovery, boot into recovery and choosing the "Install" option just flash the nandroid zip. Do NOT unzip the file.

You should understand that flashing hboot is one of the riskier forms of phone mods. If you did not understand that, you should not have been doing it in the first place.
Further, recovering from no ROM is a basic process. Again, if you don't know how to do that, you should have been flashing firmware, which is significantly more advanced than just recovering from a simple case of no ROM.
Just adb push a ROM zip to the phone, or use a USB card reader to put one on removable SD. Then flash ROM in recovery.

Please stop spreading wrong info, a nandroid backup ALWAYS needs to be unpacked and placed in the correct folder structure. It will never work as a zip. Not sure where you got that info from ?

Difficulty flashing OTA, OTA thinks It's 4.4.2.

I'm having an issue flashing an OTA, (OTA_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Orange_UK_4.19.61.3-4.19.61.2_release_446666.zip), I've checked the build.prop and that says I'm running 5.0.1, however the flash stops with a build fingerprint mismatch.
I've attached a picture. Any ideas on how to get over this?
Wrong stock recovery.img that you installed.
You need to install stock recovery.img 4.19.61.2 not 3.33.61.9 (the one that you currently have on device)
Get the correct stock recovery.img 4.19.61.2 (on post #4) in my thread linked in my signature

Before I do, I have two questions, I'm on S-off, as I had issues (it's been a while since I've tinkered with Android) patching because of my version. Can I still flash this? Also, it says it's modified (assuming you meant this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934538955). How is it modified?
I got the recovery flashed, but now I get a different error. See attached.
That error means your current ROM is not stock enough. There will be more errors.
Get the non-rooted 4.19.61.2 backup from my thread and restore that and install stock recovery 4.19.61.2 then do OTA.

You say that, but there's three links
Current ROM
lyapota GPE 5.07.1700.9 MRA85K.H9
Alternate ROM
lyapota Sense 6.12.401.4 MRA58K
SkyDragon MM Sense 7
My TWRP Stock Nandroid Backups & Stock Recovery Collections
Which one?
Which one is "my" thread ?
Which one has the word "backup" ?
There's only one with "my" and "backup"

This is why, because control+F doesn't find it.
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the help here, but hunting through 1000's of posts isn't exactly fun.
I'll use the thread search option
I found a backup on Mega with your name on it. Google seems to be better at find this stuff it seems.
https://mega.nz/#!S4g3SRRT!IfFwxkXW7KXh4OUklo3aFp6U7tltaxR9DuVxMmFn-YM
There is no need control+f, just click on the wordings and it opens the link ...
In fact you'll see that thread is 5 or 6 topic under yours.
TWRP keeps coming back with failed. I'm trying to flash 4.19.61.2_ckpv5.zip
Do you have the MD5 or similar for the file?
That's why you need to read my thread on how to use restore a backup.
I never write anywhere to flash but I wrote to restore.
Click (not control+F) on the link in my signature.
That thread now is under your thread.. please have a look of thread listing.
I'm on mobile and it's not easy for me ...

I should have realised it was a nandroid backup, not a flashable zip. My sincere apologies.
I thought it was corrupt, hence why I asked for the MD5.
I now have Marshmallow on my phone. Thank you!

Stock Tar files for firmware to flash in ODIN?

My S6 was on OI1 or the latest FW for my, did some stuff, try to install a modded camera and that didn't working, restoring the backup of the camera didn't work so I decided to flash a ROM, didn't work, won't boot(stuck on SprintSpark yellow logo). Now the only way I reckon I can save the phone is if I can Odin flash a stock tar FW img. Where can I find these?
edit: ended up having to pay up for premium on Sammobile to get the official tar, worth it, my phone is working now.
Can you upload the official tar?
