"Good" "Bad" "Average" battery life test. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So I tested to see how long it would take my phone to go from 100% full charge to 0% death. I want to know Is this or should this be considered good battery life? In my opinion I think its good battery with moderate to heavy use, but what do you all think? And how do this battery life compare to yours?
I'm on FC07 rooted and deodex rom, throughout this whole process, I had 4g, 3g, sync on and kept brightness at 25%. Some screen shots. 8 hours

Meet my friend Bob Sacamano

Thats terrible compared to a gb rom, look at the awake time, what was running?

Looks like you were without a network for a lot of that time which will cause significant battery drain as it's constantly trying to find a signal.

There's another thread started to look at battery life and possible fixes check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23501965

4+ hours is what I'm getting. I've hit 5 hours before. And this is with 20+ hours of total battery life. I unplug my phone in the morning and plug it in when I'm sleeping.

I am using the ROM and am having similar issue. Display kills my battery.. But it has been the same on DI18, EB13, EC05 and SyndicateROM.. Also battery usage menu is horrible. I never see more than whats displayed in the photo. Never have I seen any of the apps I use appear. Not even gmail. Any good usage apps out there?

Bizarre Battery Log

What is up with my battery readings. My phone is always making bizarre jumps like this. Notice the two vertical changes.

There are actually 3. One drop which is not accompanied by the charging and 2 increases one of them severe.
Its actually the initial drop that makes it bizarre. The battery isn't that old or that worn so corrections to read capacity shouldn't be severe. Discrepancies while charging can be explained a little easier. All depends on the battery controllers methods of reading while charging and how the OS samples the data from that. As i say its the drop that confuses me.
I would definitely say a calibration is in order before further investigation unless some knowledge is out there.
I've also noticed battery drops like that for me where it drops about 30% and was caused by random reboots from flashing new roms.

Is anyone knowledgeable with reading battery stats to see where my drain is?

I never got involved with this because between my gn and my s3, I have never had battery issues... Till today.... With the screen off, it drains 2percent every 6 minutes... Some things going on here...
Here are references... If you need anything specific, let me know and ill tell you...

Better battery stats
GSAM badass battery monitor
Get rid of friend caster, it's holding a wakelock and keeping your network connection alive.

You need someone to read that? The evidence is obvious, if it were any more obvious it would hit you with a Mac truck. Lol.

The percentage shown is not how much battery, but percentage running for the 2 hours and 3 minutes. Friendcaster 28% = 45.64 minutes run time.

What the hell is up with battery? It first charges at very fast rate usually 2-3% every 5 mins then slows down and when reaches around 70% it jumps to 100 % . it can retain its charge to max about 9-8 hours with minimal use and 2-3 hours with heavy use, I have tried clearing cache/battery status from recovery and different ROMs/kernel/radio all give same result
Hi mate!
Check plz this thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563153
I used to have same stats untill i bought a new battery.... I was lucky though I found OEM battery at fairly low cost...
Hmm so ordered a new OEM battery let's see if its real

I had the same thing with the desire hd I had, basically lost the top 30% capacity I believe. Once I replaced the battery it was perfect again.

Is this battery level graph normal?

What do the gaps mean in this graph? Never saw this before Lollipop OTA update?

Anyone?
Please just take a look at your usage graph and let me know if it also has these gaps or not.
Thanks.
I am having the same gaps in the graph. Don't know what it is.
Ive never seen those gaps on my battery graph before. My phone is 852 model btw. Im using zerolemon 9000mah battery now and haven't seen anything odd in the graph with that battery either. Looks like information is being lost or else not rendered correctly in teh visuals. Any other issues with battery life?
heres a couple screenshots i had from my phone laying around. no gaps that i can see so far. lets hope it doesnt start. been dealing with the sd card unmounting on its own though lately
Has there been any update on this?
I'm getting the same weird gaps in the graph too. Battery life seems normal and but a 2% loss in cell signal today (cell standby-->time without a signal). I've has a similar problem on the graph with 0% loss in signal though..
Can anyone shed any light on this weird behaviour?
