Turn off bluetooth media streaming? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I am having a new issue with bluetooth where the toggles for turning on/off media streaming won't stick. Here's what's happening.
Streaming media box is unchecked in bluetooth settings as it should be. Plug in aux jack and play music and it switches to bluetooth streaming even though it shouldn't. So if I exit the app and go into bluetooth settings the box is unchecked as it should be. To resolve, tap on the streaming media box and it will toggle to a checked box. Touch box again and it will uncheck. Go back to music app and play music. Now audio is going through the aux jack.
Here's the kicker. When I unplug the aux jack or turn my bluetooth receiver off and reconnect again I have to go through the same process over again.
Any help would be huge. Thanks.
I'm on the latest condemned CM7. CM9 AOKP did it as well. Didn't do it on stock ROM or MikRom, FYI.

Bump. Can somebody please help? It seems like it's happening on anything CM based. Cpndemned, AOKP, CM7. I don't really want to go back to a sense ROM. I just can't get the media streaming toggles to stick to the off position.

[REQ] TF3D - stop on headset disconnection?

Hi,
as I use my Touch Hd for music playback in my car over A2DP I have the following problem.
When I turn off my car radio the bluetooth connection drops and the music will be redirected to back speaker.
So I always have to stop music manualy before turning off my radio or my Touch Hd will play the music on and on in my pocket.
Anyone knows how to stop playback on headset disconnection?

I dont think there is. Even when you use a wired head set and pull the plug the music keeps going. YOU have to tell the phone what to do I'm afraid.

Bluetooth media audio not working anymore

I have Nokia bluetooth stereo headset BH-503.
I'm using it fine for calls but lately I cannot seem to get music audio through them. I suspect it may have happened when Tmobile sent the OTA update out (my phone was in the first batch, now on 1.15.110.11). Note - im not sure exactly when this started so may not be the update.....could be a dodgy app?
I was using spotify and the htc music player with the headset fine when I first got the Desire.
Both 'phone' and 'media' settings are ticked in the bluetooth options and obv tried disconnecting then repairing the two but still no joy.
Has anyone else noticed this? any other media bluetooth problems?
I can be listening to Spotify or HTC music player thru the phone loudspeaker and when a call comes thru the phone correctly diverts the call to the bluetooth headset then resumes music to the loud speaker once the call has finished.
It's as if the bluetooth media audio capability has been disabled!? Any help would be appreciated, it's driving my nuts!!
hmm seems to be fixed. I did one thing differently this time.....
Instead of activating bluetooth via the widget or settings>wireless&networks> bluetooth where you can check the bluetooth box to turn it on, i went into:
settings>wireless&networks> bluetooth settings and activated bluetooth from there.
When it connects to device it now says 'connected to phone and media audio' and plays fine now even when switching on via the widget.
V odd. Oh well happy chappy again

THIS IS DRIVING ME MAD - Bluetooth plays media files everytime I start car

My car has bluetooth built in and it works fine. It also has a USB socket, which shares the AUX button on my cars headset with the BT audio.
However, everytime I go to the car ( I leave by BT on all day as I am constantly in and out of the car) it automatically starts playing media files from the phone. When this happens, it disables the USB input , unless I pull out the USB and put it back in again.
I turn off the 'media' tick box in bluetooth settings for the pairing, hit return, yet the next time I get in the car, it turns itself back on.
Is there a way of permanently disabling the 'media' setting in the bluetooth settings for this pairing?
I have this phone also paired to another car, but that one doesn't have the media option in its settings.
Also does anyone know how to get the phone to connect to the headset during a phone call while the ringtone is ringing? This phone sends the sound over to the head unit as soon as the call is answered, meaning that I never know if it is ringing or not, or connected. It would be nice to hear the ringtone ringing over the speakers and before it is picked up.
A friend of mine has the same problem with his bluetooth carkit. But not only when he start his car. I'm curious for a solution.
It's your radio .. incorrect support and usage of bluetooth specifications
I dont think it is the radio, because I can turn off 'media'in the bluetooth settings/bluetooth devices/options, and leave 'phone'on.
The next time I get back into the car, media turns itself back on automatically and starts playing tracks from the phone through the radio.
The bluetooth pairing on the phone that exists for the other car I have does not have a media setting.
Is there an advanced bluetooth settings app that can permantly leave the 'media' button unchecked?
ignore this post
it is a similar problem to this:

Bluetooth Audio Out to car issue with stock ROM

Hello Everyone,
I hope someone will be able to help me, I am not sure where to ask.
I have some issue with the Audio out on my HTC One X International.
I am still using the stock ROM 4.0.4 with HTC Sense 4.1.
The car is a Seat Ibiza 2012 with manufacturer Bluetooth.
I could pair to the car (SEAT_BT) correctly, and the phone show "Phone audio" and "Media audio" enabled.
Phone audio is working great, I can receive and make call from the car dashboard, it could get my contacts correctly too.
But I am unable to use it with Audio out. In car mode Voice call accessory show as connected but not Audio-out.
When I try to play a music it will just play it on the phone speaker. And If I select it under "Select player" on the stock music player it show connection failed.
I tried to change the default PIN of my car and connect it back, which somehow made it better, now audio is connected to the car and no longer on speaker, but no sound is coming from the car.
So it's just connected but not working.
I saw someone say download "Bluetooth File transfer" and transfer anything, it will fail but force initialize the connection the first time, you can then uninstall the app. Unfortunately it did not work.
I downloaded and paid for "Bluetooth Manager ICS", this app has a little checkbox to route all audio to the connected bluetooth device.
When enabled, my car show Unknown connected and some noise. If I play a music when this box is enabled, it will work and the music will route trough my speaker. But it will only work with the stock music player, If i try anything like TuneIn Radio or GPS, the whole thing collapse, bluetooth audio out is dropped and everything is back on phone speaker.
I tried BTmono app too but without any luck.
Please help,
Kevin
On the Seat Ibiza ST (2008) the option needs to be enabled via VCDS; you'll need a expensive VAG-COM cable (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/) and the manual attached below.
The manual is in zip, a minimalistic english translation can be found here: http://ardana.homeip.net/vcds/Ibiza-6J-VCDS-options-EN.pdf, so please view both ones..

[Q] Bluetooth headset buttons not responding

I have a Verizon G3 but figure this forum gets more eyeballs, and perhaps this is a universal Bluetooth issue.
I use the LG Tone+ HBS-730 headset with my phone. If I go into a music app and start playing music through my headphones with the app, no problem. But, let's say I pause music for a while, or turn the headphones off for a bit. I turn the headphones back on, press the play button on the right side, and nothing happens. The headset is still on - I can long-press a button and get the double-beep, but my music won't play. Sometimes it does, but most of the time, it doesn't. I switched from the stock Music player to Rocket Player, which has proven to be a little more successful.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, or is this a common BT occurrence? Control is through the AVRCP BT profile, I believe. I know on my G2 I'd sometimes lose control sync with my phone, where I couldn't skip or pause the track through my headphones. This new problem seems like a magnification of that problem.
Overall, I do find the BT performance a little worse than the G2. I get more audio drops when the phone is in my pocket, but this is when I'm outside and BT is not great outside in general.
Thanks everyone - I have five days to decide if I want to return this phone, between this and some signal problems.
bluetooth connects. calls ok. media plays on device.

I come from the philippines and i have the g3 also. my bluetooth connection was fine it connected to my car and headset but now it only receives calls but does not play music through my bluetooth headphones. when i press the play button on my headset it plays on the device itself. checked under bluetooth setting and call and media and audio was checked.
my device is rooted. i did a factory reset but the problem remains unfixed. please help. i have installed g3 tweaksbox but i dont see any mods that is related to music apps. i dont know what to do. i have considered unrooting and flashing stock rom.
Also interested in this, as I have the same issue but my car.
Op, did you ever find a fix, or work around?
OP
Do you have any other BT programs loaded? I had something similar when I had the Sony app and a Garmin app loaded. Both use BT to connect to their devices and they were interfering. I removed the Garmin one and my play/pause button started working again
