Just got my Epic 4G Touch! I called around, the Corp retailers all said no but the Sprint Communications store (reseller) said, "if it activates, sure."
Yay!

I got a call from Sprint around noon that my phone was in and I may get it tomorrow at 9am, but my buddy never got his pre-order call. He called the store and they said they already have all the phones and we are both welcome to stop by on our way home tonight and get the phone! WOOT!
This was an official Sprint store, not a 3rd-party Sprint store.

Can somebody please check for me if "DSLR Controller" shows up in Market on the device ? If so, this device has full USB host out of the box (both kernel and API)

I already have the (original) SGS2... I can't get the Epic 4G Touch because Sprint doesn't exist in my country

[Q] thinking of buying the sgs24g is it worth it?

first off i have an evo shift 4g, running cm7.
i had a nexus s 4g for a week before i decided i didnt like it and went back to the evo shift.my main issue was non removable storage.
now my interest is in the sgs2.
ive never used the touch wiz ui. but i do prefer vanilla android.
id be buying the phone out of contract for 350 new.
whats the consensus should i buy it?

Not gonna find better on Sprint at this time...period.

Just moved on from the 3d and I couldn't be happier. Don't hesitate at all

Just came from an Epic 4G... this is best phone Ive owned so far and the CM Team just received it, so they might work on a CM7 port.

Paid retail price coming from the 3d. Worth every penny of $499.99. Yeah I sold the 3d for 275, but still its worth every penny

Oh that's cool.man I remember the epic 4g (the og one) I had so many problem with it, the only thing I like was the camera lol

The problem is, I don't think we have the samsung app store. In the comments, someone with a T-mobile GSII reported being able to get the apps. If someone does figure it out, please do share.

I completely agree. I gave up playing "video games" a while ago, and have no intention of playing them on my phone/personal organizer/music player. Its just a dopamine head game anyways. At last gambling you sometimes make out well while you burn out your dopamine centers. /end rant

I get a network error when I try to connect on 3g. If I attempt to connect on wifi it just times out. odd.

Given up? No. I don't have an evo anymore due to some circumstances and have just been extremely busy with school. Once things calm down a bit ill have more to share. Maybe one day ill get an evo again too. I did love it

I use to like the sims but it got old after awhile. I'll see what this one is all about.

Only thing i could think of is play the game in airplane mode, or at least shut mobile data off so your not on 3g or 4g.

I just switch to the E4GT from the mesmerize (USCC GS1) and its an awesome phone. I just flashed blazer rom and its awesome! Keep an eye on shabby's ics work though, he's been working like crazy on it all day.

I hopped on board today from the 3d as well . This phone is soooo much better than the 3d. I was wondering if you can force roam . My 3d had the option roam only . Didn't know if it was because I was on a custom rom.

I wanted to try MIUI but the last week (only had the phone for 8 days) has been crazy with firware leaks.. I feel like im in heaven! This is nothing like the 3d forums... Did you get a white or black one?

Got a black one. Found one on CL for $320 so I went ahead and picked it up. Honestly hadn't even thought about getting one. Was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Dadoc04 talked me into it.

haha i dont think youll regret it at all!
it may feel weird at first if you never owned a galaxy s device (plastic,cheap,ect)
but trust me they can take a beating... my launch E4GT got beat on pretty hard (a few drunken nights)
only thing i really miss about the 3d was the resolution... but meh with a Samoled + screen i can get over it

Just got my epic touch 4g and im excited to get it rooted and ready to go? I thought this phones came with internal memory?
