Well its okay
well its actually cooked in the kitchen so very minimal customization and I can't even say if its good or not
I want change things like app icons, status bar etc
"Cocked" in the kitchen. Very funny. Haha okay, I'm sorry. Moving on.
Why not make a rom for your own device so you can test it yourself?

[GUIDE] dsixda's Android Kitchen - Now supports Galaxy Note 2 T889 (Win/Linux/Mac)

dsixda's Android Kitchen - Now for Samsung Galaxy Note II SGH-T889
Compatible with Windows (Cygwin) / Linux / Mac OS X
The following is a guide to assist you with creating your own Samsung Galaxy Note II SGH-T889(V) custom ROMs with the kitchen. This is NOT a guide to help you become Cyanogen or do fancy things with AOSP, but it may be your springboard to bigger things in the future.
Some of you already know about the Android Kitchen. It is a project I started on back in February 2010 to help newbies create their own custom ROMs and learn more about Android. As of the latest versions, you can now create your own Galaxy Note II SGH-T889 ROMs with the kitchen.
Special thanks to XDA user Wildchld for testing and providing feedback!
I have already posted an equivalent thread for the International Galaxy SIII GT-I9300, which has similar steps as that for the Note II T889, so no need for redundancy. Simply go here for the guide:
CLICK HERE FOR KITCHEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR GALAXY NOTE II SGH-T889.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939300
WARNING! The guide does not necessarily apply for the other models of the Galaxy Note II, since the kitchen may not support them. Please visit the first post of the main kitchen thread for any new links to guides for the other Note II models.Since the above link is for GT-I9300 discussion only, please post all Note II SGH-T889 talk in the thread right here. Enjoy!

Thanks. Now were in business!
Thanks for a great tool and working with me! This will help more Developers into this section that only leads to bigger and better things!
New options and faster kitchen are just awesome!!!

I don't think this tool alone will bring more devs. Cause a developer can make a rom without it. However it is a amazing program and I do use it when im to lazy to manually repack a zImage back into a boot.img. it's a great beginners tool. The developer is genius for creating this. However, I don't see this attracting developers. Wannabe devs Maybe but no one like KingxKlick, faux 123, Cynanogen, TrevE, Ziggy or any of those guys.

n00b question:
Using kitchen, is there a way to update a cooked ROM with a newer version?
For example, if you cook up a ROM using UVALJ1 can you update it with UVALK8 without losing any work already done?

[Q Guardian Rom]

Can we have this?!

Guardian Rom by x942Thanks to:Quote:The Guardian ProjectCyanogen ModAndroidOpen-Pdroid ProjectAny one else I am missingWhat is Guardian Rom?Guardian ROM is a custom android ROM multiple devices. The ROM is completely Open Source and based off of the CM10.1. While this build is stable because it's based on CM10.1 it is a preview so please expect some bugs, & missing features (i.e updater). What Features does Guardian Rom have?Quote:Kernel is hardened with SecDroid Tweaks.ROM is patched whttp://www.shadowdcatconsulting.com/ith and includes OpenPdoird for*permissions management.Guardian Project apps are pre-installed – These include Orbot (Tor), Gibberbot (Secure IM),*and more.CSSimple and OStel (https://guardianproject.info/wiki/Ostel) are included as replacements to the*built calling apps. providing encrypted communications. If encryption is enabled and password is entered wrong 10 times the phone wipes user data.Coming Soon:Quote:Including support for Deniable Encryption (similar to Truecrypt hidden volumes).Including GRSecurity for exploit mitigation and more secure phone.Including SQLCipher to ensure all data is encrypted whenever possibleIncluding a customer “app store” for our repos.Different lockscreen pin and Pre-Boot authentication password.Auto-Prompt for encryption setup on first boot. How to use:Simply flash the flashable zip through your favorite custom recovery. (TWRP is recommended as it supports encrypted devices). Once flashed you should enable Full Disk Encryption by doing the following (may very depending on device):Code:Settings --> Security ---> Password [enter a strong 8-16 char password]ThanCode:Settings --> Security ---> Encryption --> Enable EncryptionDownloadsownloads are over*here. Please*verify*the downloaded file with the attached GPG signature to ensure is is a legit copy.GAPPSGoogle Apps are NOT included and before you flash them you may want to read this*article.UPDATES:Since this is a preview I have not had a chance to remove or modify the CM Updater. Please do NOT use it as you will be flashing a stock CM10.1 build and not Guardian Rom. This will be fixed shortly. My Projects:Guardian Rom PreviewSecDroidGuardian Project InstallerCurrent: Nexus 4 Guardian Rom THANKS

I am working on getting a stable build out for the Nexus 4 and GNex. If you (or anyone) wants to help with porting we are on freenode as #guardian-rom for our dev channel.

[Q] Why isnt anyone porting s4 or note 3 cam app for N7100

Why isn't anyone porting S4 or note III cam app for N7100
Q. is N7100 not strong enough to handle that app or its android ver.
Q. There is many custom roms with android 4.3 for note II, so... is there any chances to work...
Actually currently i,m using dito note 3 rom for note 2 and tried the s4 flashable camera zip for s3 and stucked in blackscreen after reboot.
:cyclops: Guys anything u can suggest me, i'm too curious for that cam app and too poor to purchase those Device.

Firstly...There are many issues when porting a camera from a 2013 device to a 2012 device because of a lot of incompatibilities. ..so you need to have patience... Secondly. ..If you read the forums...you'll see that there is a dedicated team that is porting note 3 apps ..and they say that they are in the process of porting the camera... They have already ported air command...and even the rom you are using....those guys have put in a lot of effort to build more stable roms with as many features as they can.... If they release the camera with bugs...many people will complain...and these guys do it for free...so you need to wait...
also...who flashes a s3 compatible zip file on a note 2? You could easily damage the device.... retry flashing your rom and everything should go back to normal

Ok this is a topic for discuss on the porting of cyanogenmod 13 to our devices...i think that the porting is very easy to do because the only differnce between s6 and s6 edge plus are the screen and ram.
I try to boot cm (s6 version) but it doesen't boot .
Anyone could help us for making this possibile ?
Yes, please! We do need Cyanogenmod to our S6 edge+!
Nice progress m8.
Also, this thread much sense makes. Congrats.

We have only kernel sources like s6
Kernel sources of the g928f are released maybe that can help a bit
my opinion is that we must ask to some developer if he interesting port cm13 or cm12.1 at least for us..who wants do that?

i think this thread should be promoted in other areas-threads so as to see all developers wishing to express interest to built cm for us.. :good:
Well, as it seems, Samsung isn't going to release the source code, which means there's no AOSP... at least not stable for daily use.
Wait, you installed galaxy s6 version of cyanogen on your edge plus and it didnt hard brick without any modification? If so I might have a solid idea on how to run it but since this is such an expensive device i am really afraid

Just some int.d build.prop and permission twicks witch I used to port stuff on my old exynos s5,Im sure someone else tryed this but I need to know 100% that the g920 or g925(there is cm for that) cyanogen kernel does NOT brick our device and that it can still be resored via odin.Again this is an very expensive piece of equipment and my JTAG station just died last week.So I really am not in the mood for bricks now
EDIT:Why people say there is no source code everything I needed for porting could be found at opensource.samsung.com
