Anyone know of a 4G/3G toggle widget for the Galaxy Nexus LTE?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393526
thanks, I searched first, but didn't find it.
Can someone shed some light on how to go about customizing the "Quick Settings" (from notification bar drop down..) on TouchWiz based ROMs? Not asking about Jellybean (although, it could apply there as well)
For example, there is the icon for Flashlight and it is convenient to just use that instead of app drawer etc. So, extending this, I would like to add another icon in that list to launch an app or widget such as Negative colors or Maps etc.
You can't change them, but you can try this app.

You can add apps to the notification bar

Hi there,
There are some mods that makes us choose a rom hoping we will be getting also a good battery life at the same time. My mods are:
Navigation bar button order
2g, sound, torch, data in tiles
Screenshot on power menu
T9 dialer
Volume wake
Center clock
Share your deciding mod list.
Cheers
PIE
Theme chooser
Want good battery? Just use stock with a custom kernel like Fugu.
Customizable nav bar(option to keep a power button) , this along with slide to awake makes it a totally button free experience
Expanded volume mod
Option to kill all apps in the recent apps menu
Battery percentage

PA rom
Expanded desktop, pie and colourful experience, I got everything in Paranoid Android Rom

- Not be themed at all. Usually they are fugly, i want my own theme
- Quiet Hours (PA doesn't have them and i hate it)
- No forced Tablet mode
- Quick settings from CM

-PIE
-CM10 Theme Chooser
-Paranoid Preferences
-ROM Control
-Latest Android version
- customizable tiles
- volume keys to control cursor

Notification toggles is usually the only thing I really "demand".
I like weather (lock screen and notifications). AOKP like (not the cheesy CM icons).

My reasons why many mod's are senseless to me:
Navigation bar button order - Stock's fine, doesn't bother me. If anything, it may take a while getting used to the order. Then again the same applies if you reorder them.
2g, sound, torch, data in tiles - Thats pretty much a given. Aren't these stock anyways?
Screenshot on power menu - Not necessary. Vol - plus Power
T9 dialer - Again, not a mod?
Volume wake - Don't want my phone doing funny things whilst in my pocket
Center clock- Its nice, not essential though. Covers up some of the notifications
PIE - In my experience, quite laggy, bogs down the headset. The extended screen is nice though, but the laggyness is a deal-breaker. Whatever happened to project butter? (Again, these are my experiences, your's may differ)
Theme chooser - Most themes aren't fully polished and add a sort of tackiness to the UI
Battery percentage - Keeps me from checking my battery life every 5 minutes.
Quick settings/tiles/whatever - Stock, not really a "mod"
I dislike having a myriad of MOD's on my phone. It brings me nothing but issues with laggyness and unresponsiveness. I just want the essential, fast, smooth, and stable.
PA's hybrid settings are a must for me. I think PA's colors stops a lot of my screen burn. If I could ever get touch to wake to work the way I wanted, that would be a must (but that's more of a kernel feature.)

For me, the fact that a ROM is built with linaro toolchain is important. My phone has never been so fast. Using Purity with AK kernel.
I just back to stock because afaik its the most stable and smooth and that's very important to me. I do miss some features like the quick toggles and the extended power menu.

For toggles, just install Notification Toggle. I've been using it on the stock ROM since ICS. Change the icons to the SquareGlassJellybean ones and it fits in the JB style perfectly.

Hey,
I have a question about this feature in the Mmuzzy 4.2.1 French Vanilla Rom for the Galaxy Nexus. I know this in the wrong section, but I don't have permission to post since I'm new. But with the extended desktop enabled I am also running the LMT app for the pie menu. However I would like to know if there is any way to enable the notification bar while extended desktop is on? Even if I use gestures to bring up the notification bar it is still blocked from opening, that goes for the quick menu as well. It doesn't have to be visible on screen at all times, but it would be nice to at least open my notification bar by swiping.
Notification bar
Hello.
I use another ROM (cm10.1) with the extended desktop enabled an LMT too.
In order to make available the status/notification bar I use an app called Smart Statusbar that allows to you show/hide the statusbar swiping on the top of the screen.
Hello again
I just see that. On the last nightlie build of cm10, you can enable the extended desktop with/without statusbar.
hmm, maybe I'll switch to cyanogen mod, I just loaded the mmuzzy mod yesterday. I originally was on bugless beast, but since there hasnt been an update in a while I figured I would switch. I usually like to stick to stable vanilla roms, but I could give it a shot
This makes me happy

This just made my phone the best it has ever been! Pie Control with Smart Statusbar and Extended desktop. Priceless...
Hi,
I would like to have the quick toggles ( activate wifi, bluetooth ...) in the first notification bar.
I know Power Toggles but I don't want to use it because always put the battery icon and I don't like it.
Many thanks and sorry for my english!
Power toggles are just perfect, and you do not need root. you can have the battery icon made invisible, all app with toggles need the notification icon because the OP shuts it down from ICS and above

This is what I use and it is very much customisable. You can also include any app of your choice using this. This app is called Widgetsoid.

Hope it helps.
Have you tried two finger swipe down on screen? Are these toggles no good? You can customise them on a lot of ROMs and set it up the way you prefer
+1 for Widgetsoid
Switch pro widget. I like it better because you can toggle on and off with one click the GPS, for example, while others brings you to the settings menu.

Another very good alternative is the notification Toggle and is free in the market:
