I dont know about you guys but I love to read phone reviews and mobile blogs, I love reading and learning about new emerging tech. As of late, every site Ive gone to raves about the Nokia N9, and yes I know what your going to say its "dead" its "obsolete" because of meego OS. But honestly, even under those circumstances I am extremely tempted to purchase this handset. Owned Androids, Ive owned iphones, Pre's, windows mobile(not 7). Ive become less biased in my mind. The fluidity of the OS, the simple swipe gestures are reallly starting to tempt me. I must
just purchase it, apart from that the design is truly stunning. Very unique what do you guys think? I love my gs2 dont get me wrong but I was just never a One phone man ....hope my girl doesnt read this
The phone itself (sans software) looks sexy as hell. I can appreciate the double tap to unlock feature, though wonder how it affects battery life. The launcher itself looks nice as well, I like the simplicity of it. I'll give it 3 months and bet someone can create their own version of their launcher.

Glad I'm not the only one , well the screen is AMOLED so reports say battery life is good.
Yes the simplicity of it is what I like plus meego is open as well so if there Was enough support probably and ICS port. .... the build quality seems top notch I seriously might give it a shot
I been drooling over that Lumia 800. WP7 or not, that is probably the sexiest handset I've ever seen.

Really over n9? The lumia is like the castrated twin brother, sure it has the same outer design but no nfc no ffc no 1gb ram, I wonder why they chose a weak first wp7 handset

Just googled the n9, I didn't realize the two looked practically identical... I based my comment on looks alone, I could care less for the internals on those things. I'm shallow I guess lol.
Do any WP7 phones have 1gb ram? I thought they all had 512mb...

I love Samsung but that commercial was just alright. My sister saw Galaxy Note and was left in awe (she's an iPhone user). Super Bowl commercials this year kinda sucked though IMO. However, I did like the trailer for Dictator

I have to agree about that Dictator movie. That looked funny. I was messing with my Nexus during some commercials and missed the Sammy one. Thanks! Edit...interesting.. I have been using this firm sponge like tipped stylus on my Epic Touch for a few weeks and I love it. Obviously I can't write on the screen but between that and my Bluetooth, my phone stays immaculate

I do not think people are going to realize how big the Note really is from that commercial and anyone who thinks it is the same size as your larger phone will be in for a big surprise.
I wear my phone on a belt clip and for some reason I do not see that happening with the Galaxy note. I would like to know for the people who plan on getting the Note how they plan on carrying it.

I messed with a 5" Galaxy (forgot the name) and was wondering where things are headed. I think the Epic Touch is the perfect size. Oh and some terrible pics of the stylus I use on my phones

john they are much different. this is like a pro level stylus that uses magnetic input. almost like on the touch pro type of screen accurate only now it is also a cap screen instead of resistive.
Reminds me a bit of the Motorola Xoom commercial last year. Although this one rags on Apple fans more blatantly.
Like others, I think the Galaxy Note is just too big. Even the E4GT is pushing it for me, although it's thinness and light weight help a bit. Plus I would not carry the stylus with me, which defeats one of the purposes of buying the Note. It looks like a cool phone but just isn't for me.

The stylus slips into the back of the phone....can't even really tell its there....of it wasn't for the GS3 coming out I would get it....got to play with one a few days ago.....it would definatly fit in the average back pocket.....feels thinner than my E4GT

Anyway, I don't know what I was expecting from it, but I wasn't really expecting it to be about the Note, and I DEFINITELY wasn't expecting Samsung to bring back that most epic song by The Darkness: I give it an all thumbs up rating.

The IP5 may indeed spank the SGSIII in some people's eyes, they do get to have a standard to go against now, it's an endless game of leapfrog and trying to raise the bar.
I'm an outlaw though, it's hard to be an outlaw with an Iphone, that's more of a yuppy/emo/hipster thing.
If it still has that stiff brick like shape its a doa

Won't iPhone 5 be released like 4-5 months after initial international release of S3? That's an eternity for technology. I'd sure hope it beats the S3 handily.

I do believe the iPhone 5 will be a nice device but remember these are the same people that convinced iPhone 4 owners that they needed to by an iPhone 4S because of Siri and people actually believed they owned the best device because of this.
Luckily Android users are smarter then that and do not buy into the whole hype building from these manufacturer's. We need to see the worth in the upgrade or a lot of us will not spend the money like iHippies.
Plus we already saw what iOS 6 is bringing to the table, one of the main focuses is Siri fixes. lol

The thing holding back the GNex, SGSII, SGSIII and other Android devices is the AMOLED screen. If they had the display of the iPhone 4s but larger, it would spank the iPhone with one hand tied behind it's back.

Compared to the GS2 I like it more for sure... Seems smoother and battery SEEMS better. Will be able to get to test signal and more today.

New phone, making it hard to get any work done. Out of the box it's impressive. Don't like Samsung's keyboard, not as good as Swype, but that's easily fixed.

Note is very large. This one looks like Epic Touch or Evo LTE in size.
How quickly does GPS lock? Phone is absolutely beautiful I can't wait to get my hands on one.

It isn't much larger than my S2.
As far as aesthetics...I think it looks better than the S2 but isn't quite as nice to hold (due to material not shape)
i jammed my g2 in the g3's tpu last night its almost the same size :victory:

It is quite beautiful. I was worried that the pebble blue wouldn't look as good as the white one. But once I held it in my hand I was very impressed.
Im coming from the Evo 3D and this thing is thin, light, and ninja fast. Bluetooth has connected quickly to my car stereo and streams music without a problem.
I haven't tested the GPS yet.
