I bought a ago steinhel flex and I put it on my phone but after only two days one corner has been lifted I don't know what went wrong, I bought it specifically because I read wet protectors don't lift up on the edges :/ . I'm guessing is because I have a Neo hybrid sgp case which has really tight borders.
I just ordered a sgp ultra hybrid which borders fit a little looser on the phone, what do you say should I buy another steinhel flex? Or maybe try the sgp oleophobic which is supposed to be smaller, but it is a dry application which people here are not fans of, maybe try the xo skins case fit?

Tpu cases usually work well. Try diztronics revision 3.
let it be.
the 6 for a dollar ones I get from eBay doesn't interfere with any of my cases. I always suggest those.

it's a common problem for phones whose screens are almost in line with the bezel and if you have a case that covers the bezel. the only solution i saw is to use a smaller protector so the corners of the case would not touch the corners of the protector so it prevents lifting.

the man who's post i will forever keep in my sig. hahaha. good you mentioned that. i didn't actually use my diztronic protector as i have a capdase klia on my gnex. but since it's cut between the size of the actual screen and the one that sgp makes, it seems to not give me any peeling off issues. i guess i'll just keep my free diztronic protector then. hehehe
chances are you have the full screen version if you got the rev3 case. i think the almost to the edge sp's were shipped with earlier versions of the tpu.
i have the full screen xoskins using my diztronic. it doesn't lift the corners or anything!

I agree with you. I used to waste money on "premium" wet and dry screen protectors but I end up going back to cheap plasticy screen protectors lol. They are so easy to apply, no yellow peel, no draggy feeling and I can just replace them any time I want with peace of mind

Haha, yeah exactly! I used to get mad at myself for spending like 14-15 bucks on those wet application types... And only for it to peel off and make the screen look ugly.
I was so mad today. I bought the xo screen protector and had it on for 2 days. I decided to go for a jog and used my arm band case. After the run I tried to remove it from the arm band case, the plastic on the case stuck on the glass of the phone so tight it actually lifted the screen protector while I was trying to remove it so it got ruined. Just a heads up for those getting those "wet application" protectors. Ordered those plasticy clingy ones right after.

1+ Also, tried most of the wet applied ones and these are a lot nicer, no orange peel to worry about with these.
So I've been looking at the screen protector threads around here, and while people have been pointing out good deals, and bad ones, I've yet to see anyone really comment about the "Feel" of their screen protector.
Long story short: I HATE the Zagg I have on my Evo 3D. Playing Fruit Ninja and the likes on it is impossible unless I want to coat my screen in butter so it's more slick. A few rounds and I feel like I'm going to burn my fingertips off! Hate, hate, hate. That's all I feel for Zagg. Anyway, I'm planning on leaving the phone naked (No case) with just the screen protector on, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good screen protector that will fit the bill?
I had a Sprint branded screen protector for my original Evo 4G, and it was perfect! It was as smooth as the glass, fit well, and I could hardly see it unless I looked at an angle, so maybe they'll have one at my sprint store on release day. (Albeit at a 50000% markup. Ew...) But I'd rather not spend 40$ on a piece of plastic. Lol.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Edit, good info on both of them in this thread. I think I might try the Flex.

Have had a Spigen on my iPhone 4 for over a year and it still feels great. Will be getting one for my S3 as well.
If like glass is what you want i'm thinking you're gonna have to go with a dry application protector
Thanks for the replies everyone. Gonna go with the Ultra Crystal, sounds like what I want. Reviews on the Flex make it sound like the Zagg, with the wet application and the loss of smoothness on the protector.
Now I'm going to have a pile of accessories to go with my phone that I don't even have yet.

I just ordered the sgp flex hd as a back up. I love spigen products. With that said, You can't get any closer to a "glass feel" then a tempered glass screen protector. I've only found one online and just ordered it. The link is....

Spigen/SGP said that they won't be making the Glas t glass screen protector for the galaxy s3 because of its curved screen. A shame, but understandable.
Makes me wonder how xgearlive are going to manufacture a glass screen protector with a decent fit.
It won't be able to go to the edge, not as it's curved.
hopefully xgearlive will offer a discount for s3 users, the gnexus has USD 5 off.
This looks pretty interesting. I pre-ordered mine today. I'll report back when I get it in a couple of weeks.

Just got my SGP Ultra Nano Optics today for my GS3....I had the SGP ultra oleophobic for my One X which was perfect, couldn't see it was on and couldn't feel it was on.
I'm bummed on the SGP Ultra Nano Optics though! It feels like one of those holographic cards that makes the squakey noise when you rub your finger on it...feels NOTHING like glass like my last SGP protector! hopefully they let me return it as it stated there was no tactile difference but there is a huge one.
Also hoping that this one is more like their other screen protectors that feel like glass!
I just installed the NANO and it was a painless installation. Although cut smaller than the screen it is hardly noticeable as it is really Ultra Clear. If you don't look for the edges you will not notice. I also really sticks well along the edges too. The surface becomes slippery with use. I am happy with this one. No orange peel effect.
Awesome that they're bringing the Crystal line back with a built-in curve that won't peel up! Glad I didn't buy the Ultra Nano right away after I returned my discontinued Ultra Crystal (non-curved).
Might just order this to replace my $0.99 skinomi, since the skinomi tends to peel up a bit at the edges where the TPU case meets it, and makes it huge hassle to change cases.
Definitely considering this over any of Zagg's offerings. I assume this only ships with a single protector?
Also not a deal killer but does SGP charge your card immediate or not until orders ship?
FYI: They are offering this protector in their eBay store for the same price WITH free shipping. Some preorder with 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Better be careful. I'm not sure it's "them". The one I bought was from an authorized reseller and had free shipping.
I emailed SGP to ask them about exchanging the nano for the curved and they said no, because I didn't buy directly from them.
The auction was worked a little tricky to make it look like it was indeed them, but they did have an authorized dealer icon too.

Hey guys after just recently destroying my nexus I'm looking for a good combo for my s3. I had an otterbox for my nexus which was pretty good but am open to suggestions. Any help greatly appreciated.
*Edit* Huh, posted in the wrong topic, but oh well I'll give some input anyway
Personally right now have an aluminum bumper, with a replacedable battery door to color match it. If I added a tempered glass screen protector on this, it'd probably be a pretty good overall protection for the device.
How did the otterbox allow the device to get destroyed? Thought they were pretty solid.

I just ordered an otterbox commuter and it comes with a screen protector. I am sceptical on the quality of that protector and lucky for me the steinheil curved crystal I ordered two days ago also just shipped, I guess they were out of stock for a bit. I had a steinheil ultra crystal on my evo lte and it was a perfect fit as well as smooth as glass and invisible. Hoping the curved crystal is as good but I'm going to give the otterbox one a try first.

Was considering the tR SLIM, but decided it's too expensive to spend on one screen protector. The plastic ones work fine, the one I've got on my current phone has been perfect, no air bubbles or anything, so I think I'll stick with one of those.
I'm in the UK though, and the only Spigen plastic screen protector on Amazon or eBay I can find is the Crystal one, not Ultra Crystal or Steinheil or whatever it's called. Does anyone know what the difference is? Also has anyone in the UK got a recommendation for a plastic screen protector for the N5 from a known brand, not one of the cheap eBay ones?

Ultra-Crystal Steinheil from Spigen since it came with the case from Spigen I got off Amazon. I'll share my thoughts once I get it, it's due to come in the same day as my phone(which should be September 7th).

The deal was for:
iPhone 5S / 5 Case Tough Armor Protection Kit
FOR PROTECTION KIT 1
Screen Protector GLAS.t Slim - $29.99
FOR PROTECTION KIT 2
Screen Protector Steinheil [Ultra Crystal] - $13.99
Select Color
Smooth Black
All for the amazingly low price of $36.99
This would be great if they could do the same for the Nexus 5. I really like that GLAS.t.R and would love it on the N5. I ride a lot on my bike and stuff it in the back pocket of my jersey as well as putting the phones i have in my pocket. I dont want the screen scratched. I dont care how good Gorilla Glass 3 is, I know through daily use I'm sure I would end up scratching it.

You don't buy screen protectors for scratch protection as much as you do for minimizing the visibility of fingerprints. The N4 screen requires constant cleaning without it.

I have noticed that screen protectors do help this more than one might assume.
Do these come with a cut out for the light sensor on the right? I bought some cheap ones for my N4 and I had to cut the corner off for the sensor to work properly.
I orderd the glastr tempered glass protector. I have one on my Note 3, and it makes the screen feel like there is nothing on it (just as smooth as regular glass screen) whereas a plastic protecter is never a smooth.
I've used the Xtremeguard on 3 of my devices. It is a wet-application protector. I've found them to be quite good!

No finger drag from friction, oleophobic coating, and actual impact protection. I've never understood the mentality of, "Hey, I'm not going to spend more than $3 to protect the glass screen of this $400-800 device! That's too damned much!"
What is the difference between the GLAS.tR and the GLAS.t?

Higher-rated hardness for scratch resistance and rounded edges on the protector itself to make it fit better with cases.

Glas.tR has rounded edges for a better feel on the device better impact dissipation both are rated at 8-9h hardness. The Glas.tR is also about 0.16mm thicker than the Glas.t so it will marginally make your device heavier otherwise the two are the same.
more information on the Spigen website. personally i'm going to wait til i see a review on one over the other but right now im leaning towards the Glas.tR
hope this helps.
