I have flashed a couple of roms...most recent being the new juggernaut. My lockscreen doesnt work...any idea as to why ? It is enabled through ROM Control as well.
You may have erased it when flashing. Do you at least get a clear lockscreen?

It's possible you disabled the lockscreen from one of the ROMs you may have installed. Sometimes settings carry over thru ROMs if you don't wipe carefully enough
re
Never disabled. Factory wipe and wipe dalvik cache always performed.
Do you ever use batch with Titanium? As in backup/restore
re
Never used titanium either.
Do you think it could be something to do with the internal SD Card ?
re
I formatted everything w no luck....any clue where i can get stock tmo rom ?

i find that the nightly build is cool and is awesome. the problem is when i use system panel task manager, the phone reboots. i dont know why and its more laggy than the cm7 mod please tell me its me doing something wrong not my phone's or the mod's fault.
and it svery irritating that it keeps hanging. please someone help me with the nightly mod thing i want to use.
Go for nightly#205. And do a full wipe including data, cache, dalvic cache, and perform a factory resetting from cwm before you flash the nightly. Also use latest buzz kernal so that you can overclock your phone.

Lol you may have used beta 4 script, try beta 3, need to use atleast ext3 as your secondary partition. Try it with latest original cwm recovery. 5.xxx to partition. Do a clean install after partition.
And a personal suggestion. S2e app in market is good than dta2sd, though it have not much functions, but what it have, it does its best. I use it.

Dude, explore options in cwm, don't do formatting boot, system, data, unless you learn what it does.
Options may vary from version to versions of cwm. So you have to say which cwm version you have. Mine is latest 5.xxx.
In it, data- factory format( user data or wipe user data, which ever it is called) is in main menu. And dalvic cache wipe is in advanced menu.
Lol you must carefully read topic named" complete wildfire index, then ask doubts, after all you can learn new things from every topic.
Your kernal will be in that topic. Check it out.

another problem
now i got another problem. my wildfire will hang every now and then and i have to pluck out the battery and switch it back on. its very irritating and having to keep doing that will kill my bat very quickly so could anyone tell me any solutions?
To solve your problem, you must say. Your current configuration, rom, kernal, radio, tweeks, and what have you done just before you got the error

well i am using the cm7 nightly build #205. kernel is buzz-kernel-2.6.35. i just downloaded some apps that were in my phone when i was using cm7 stable. and there wasnt a problem. do i have to upgrade to latest build and kernel? oh and just a question. if i want to upgrade from #205 to #208, do i have have to like wipe my data and cache and dalvik cache? i wouldnt wanna redownload and change everythin again
You can install the nightlies on top of one another without wiping anything, sometimes it seems better to wipe the cache to me but not always necessary, leave data alone.
Word of warning though, always make a nandroid backup before installing a new rom, although they're stable they are still called experimental for a reason, and sometimes (not very often) things can still go wrong.

i wiped both the dalvik and partition cache and installed the #208 nightly build and the latest kernel but then the phone would just restart automatically. do i have to wipe data as well?
Yes do a "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" in Clockworkmod if it is giving you issues. Then try a fresh install and check again for instability.
Note - Performing a Wipe Data / Factory Reset will erase all data (Except SD Card)
well i not sure but i think the problem still occurs.. yes it does. i wiped data, cache and dalvik cache, did a install using cwm and it still reboots WHAT TO DO NOW

dude is it the same one you had before? thats why we mention to give your current spec. with out it we cant do any thing or we cant help you.
For some reason the home-button and the lockscreen doesnt work for me anymore. I have tried both AOKP and CM9 without any luck.
The home-button reacts on touches as it should, it just doesnt happen anything when I touch it. But long pressing it to open recent apps works just fine. And the lockscreen is just gone?
I restored an older backup with AOKP and it worked there. But if I wipe and flash an older version of AOKP it doesnt work.
What to do?
Bumped. Haven't heard of this yet, but if you're able to wipe and reflash an older AOPK and then the home button/lock button works, then that must mean what you're using now has a problem.

Have you tried wiping everything more than once? If I may say so, clockworkmod recovery is **** and very unreliable and it has been like this not only for the Galaxy Nexus, but several other devices as well.
Try wiping everything at least three times to see if the issue clears up. It looks like some data is still left even after the wipe. Make sure you erase cache, system, and boot in fastboot before entering the recovery to wipe data and dalvik cache.
I'm not saying this will help, but it probably will. If it works with older backups, it can't be hardware related.
Had the same problem . Flashed new rom after full wipe and it was fine after

Hi,
Two nights ago my wonder became very slow and task killing, unlike usual, didnt help. So i decided to take deeper action and using zedbox, i chose system programs (via root) and ended almost all the tasks (system and non system). I had done this before and i didnt have any problems but, this time the system started rebooting. It keeps rebooting as soon as i stop using it or make a call, so i literally cannot keep it on; it is Cycle Rebooting.
What do i do?
Thanks in advance
You might have accidentally removed or changed a certain periodic settings.
Certain programs or processes tends to run not at all times but at certain time and month only.
Try to wipe dalvik and cache. Then reflash your ROM and gapps(if needed). (this is if you're using Custom ROM's)
If it is stock ROM. Simply do a restore using ODIN.
Then use seeders in your device to reduce lag.

If you're using CM9 based or CM10 based. Just reflash it and wipe dalvik and cache.
If you're using Stock GB ROM (original samsung) restore using ODIN.
Seeders can be found in the General Section of Galaxy W.

I took out the battery bcuz there was no other way to turn off the phone, then i went into stock recovery, deleted cache partition and did a factory restore... and now im back with a new stock rom!... well im gonna have to install everything once again...
guys... remember! Never touch smth unless you know what ur doing and ALWAYS backup... sigh. Thanks for the help everyone

Hmmm. Usually that should work. But its a good experience for everyone. Thanks for the feedback. Will look through it once again.
Hi, yesterday i updated my KF2 (i think i was using powerpoint45's rom on version 6, i dont really remember it was a couple of moths ago) to the latest nightly of CM10.1 and, like the title says, my notification and navigation bar are missing.
I figure out probably was a problem with the nightly build, and I flashed another version, but I keep with the same problem. I tried with several revisions of powerpoint45, hashcode and CM official (even the most stable one) and I keep having this issue.
I already used TWRP to wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, factory reset and even SD card, mostly any option avaible except the one that wipes system and SD at the same time (because if i do that i wont have a ROM on my SD to flash or a system to download a new ROM from the internet)
I heard about Pie Launcher or something like that and I tried using swipe gestures to get it work, I even check settings > system and everything is activated as far as i can see (nav, notification, etc..). and obviously I disabled and enabled many times expand desktop.
I would really appreciate if someone can help me, because I use this tablet for my work :fingers-crossed:

Couldn't have been said any better, I had the same problem and I did what mindmajick suggested and now everything is working okay.
My T989's nav buttons stopped working, so I need to have a custom rom on it to give me a virtual nav bar. Unfortunately, all custom roms are putting me in a boot loop. I have a backup of fresh rooted stock JB rom with twrp 2.6.1 which works perfectly (except for missing the nav bar).
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this and get any custom rom with a nav bar working without bootloop? OR maybe theres a simmmple nav bar mod I can apply to stock?
I know it's not a stuck power button cuz I can go to twrp and download mode to my heart's content and On stock JB, there's no bootloop issue.
If there's any info you would like to know that could help me that I failed to mention, just let me know.
Thanks.
If u r getting bootloops, just format your internal and external cards and wipe your rom with infamouse wipe script abd then install rom. And make sure u have updated radio

Here it is
You DO NOT NEED a custom rom. You need to root your phone and install this! I have the same phone, with the same problem, and this app saved it from going in the trash Button Savior. This is the free version, I bought the paid version, not because I needed the pro features, but just to thank the developer since he saved me from having to buy a new phone.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/170099363/Button_Savior_com.smart.swkey_2.0.2_73[1].apk
I used this to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195283
Truth be told though, when my hardware keys went on my t989, is when I learned how to root, so I could run a virtual key app such as this, which then led to custom roms, then kernel tweaking, and now I'm poking around with ROM development. And an FYI, no matter WHAT i tried when installing a custom rom, darkside wipe, full format etc, most roms boot looped on me anyay. The only one that would install which I liked, is Cyanogenmod 10.0 (JB 4.1.2), I love it. Runs great, and no boot loops. Just make sure you use Darkside wipe from the links above
