Very nice work sir! Hopefully we can get some source and driver love in the near future! Just wondering, Honeycomb SDK in emulation mode re-sizes with some phone specific elements, etc. when resolution is adjusted. Is that something that might be portable as well, or is that aspect too raw and basic at the moment? As well, is there a phone apk hidden in there? I haven't had a chance to dig thru it, too many hours at work, school, and the new small business.
Wow this is a giant leap for the g2 phone. Definatly going to watch how sweet this rom gets hopfully soon wishfull thinking rite lol great job everyone who is making this possible

If I had an SGS3 I probably would make a port for it, I just don't have one lol.
If you wanted to make a port for the sgs3, you could use the galaxy nexus configuration and then grab a sgs3 device tree, plop it in there, replace overlays with b2g overlays, and add in samsung's proprietary vendor files, then modify the .config file to build for the sgs3 and you could probably make it. All the resources are designed for a 240 dpi though, so unless you're ok with everything being tiny, you might want to scale up everything to about a 300 or 320 dpi.

The guys over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190) are doing a bang up job of getting Jelly Bean on the ol' Dinc.
I've upgraded to a Dinc2 and then a GNex, but keep all three... two with data plans, one only gets used as a bathroom VoIP phone, games, and access to my Google data.
Never know when you'll want to play Jewels or make a call when on the can. OK, OK... TMI.
In any case, you should get over to their thread and show some love. What they have now is almost a daily driver. If you can live with some minor glitches, it is a daily driver.

I built it using a combination of Evervolv/CM repos. Voice search and camera are the only two things that I know that aren't working.

I'm guessing too that the status of HWA and Butter are basically dependent on Evervolv. So, those parts of your builds will probably correlate with Evervolv's?
Thanks again, I'm looking forward to checking this out.

Nope. I've already stripped out a lot of things I don't use from the build that I ran today and plan to keep it that way. Drk-hd is working on CM10 looking at his github and I'm sure he'll do a better job than I can do.

Correct. Basically everything that doesn't work in any other rom doesn't work here either. The only thing broken that does work in the others (to my knowledge) is voice search (it never stops listening to you).
Great, thanks for the info and for sharing your build.
I'll just patiently await Drk_HD's builds.

I've got a stupid noob for you about your CM10 build. If I wanted to build my own from the CM source and I followed Drk-hd's instructions in his github, I'm not clear how to incorporate the Evervolv inc code. I see a line where he grabs his github directory for the inc. I think the line he refers to as finishing setting up the repo. Should I replace his with the respective evervolv repo?
sorry, might be a dumb question but I'm new to the whole Android source code thing. Just looking to make my own builds so I don't have to wait for everyone else's.
Thanks for any help you might share.

Albinoman's Jelly Bean ROM boots and runs already. It doesn't have HWA, so the animations are a little slow, but overall, performance is pretty quick. All of the main features work just fine, including Google Now. The only big issue afaik is the non-working camera.
BTW, the Dinc is only 2+ years old (released end of April, 2010), but still very impressive that our old phone can still run the latest Android OS.

EV said they had HWA working on the nexus one and the only changes for that lately have been kernel related and the kernel base is the same for the Inc. Considering how much faster and smoother this build has been since using the new kernel changes, I'm assuming that they are related. If there's more to come to gerrit, then hot dog. For now, I'm quite happy with JB on the inc and any additional speed/smoothness that comes will just be the icing on the cake.

Wait.. if u have an lte gnex, this could be your issue since the sprint and verison versions get 3rd party ports of the i9250 version.
Anyways, I use miui and, while there is some interface lag compared with aosp, its still a great ROM. Aosp is hideous IMHO, especially since 4.2 came out.

Noup. Im using the OFFICIAL for Gnex MAGURO, build by Xiaomi (The one found HERE). Im flashing 3.1.11, which is the latest according to that site. Using TWRP to flash. Might been a bad download, if you insist that its working fine for you, but i did a little research, and some people were complaining about the same bug, so i thought that it was the rom, not me.
EDIT: Just checked, and i highly doubt its a bad download because MD5 matchs with the one posted on the site.

Ok, got MIUI to work. Seems like its not a good idea to flash the ROM and GAPPs on the same go. I had to flash rom, boot the phone, set it up, go to recovery again, and flash gapps, after that, everything seems to be working fine. Even the browser. Seems like that was the key.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm definitely checking this out when I wake up, downloaded and ready to go! But just curious, also yes that is toro ported and works just fine.
Edit: Fantastic ROM, has done stuff I've wanted for months.. and that's where it ends. I honestly will not use this ROM until it changes base. AOKP is the worst, that's my opinion but you got yourself a fantastic ROM here. If these apps and various other apks aren't framework dependent then I'll use some in a different ROM.
Again amazing ROM, you have done what I've been trying to do for months and namely the walkman widget is one. I hope you change the base.

EDIT: The lag fixed itself, I dont know what happened. That is fine. Only problem is It wont reboot after first successful boot. It probably is Android Tweaker Pro. It is a great app, but also caused my stock rom to randomly reboot.

1. I do plan on updating to 4.2 just need to update the code a bit and wait for the lockscreen to get ported.
2. Yes its based on AOKP 4.1.2
3. My rom is different because im going to take the time to keep it updated with anything new and im always constantly working on new ports to add to it. Its also more featureful, and its going to support toro and toroplus as soon as i get 4.2 working.
4. WHY YOU HATE AOKP SO MUCH? JK im using any base that i find most stable, im pretty sure im going to switch it for the 4.2 update since AOKP is constantly releasing updates for it and it will be hard to keep up with it.
5. Lag? I really have not noticed any lag besides the Xperia live wallpaper, thats sony's fault for not optimizing the app properly.
This ROM is running great. Loaded lean kernels latest stable 4.8 and all is good. A nice break from AOSP.

Oh, I've never heard of this then lol
The AOKP hate, its opinion but on both devices I've owned they been just so horrible and cheesy.. I don't like that swag button. The features are lacking. Honestly I'm on a stable base of 4.2.2, using Orca. The features are just amazing. I'm guessing because I tried the apks is that a lot of this framework doesn't really work for 4.2.2? I mean this is basically an Xperia ROM. I'm really impressed, I'm really hoping we can eventually get an actual port but I doubt it.
Secretly "I want a W8 port" love the style they use. Call me whacky lol.. But this is awesome you've made a breakthrough, or well your the only person who technically cares to do something like this. So I appreciate it this a lot man.
Edit: 4.1 doesn't bother me, we basically miss out on the status bar features. Just the base.

Just a quick note of congratulations and thanks, +Hyperrunner. I've been with Android since the first G1s were shipped, and this port reminds me of all the really inventive, well-done ports that we saw for the G1 back when other devices and models began to appear. I've been waiting for a really cool port to put on the GNex (which has had excellent but slightly bland firmware as stock from the beginning), and this Xperia port of yours really hits the spot. I think the AOKP base was a great choice. If it plays well with Linux Deploy and continues to be stable, this will become my primary ROM. Thanks a bunch, you deserve donations for your contribution to the Android community!
Thank you this ROM is pretty sweet love the look. Nice to have something other than stock for once

You say there is Bravia Engine, is it just not a setting and always on? If that is the case, awesome.
Yes, bravia engine is always on its more of a configuration then an app. Its always one and it helps display pictures better.
