Hi there galaxy nexus users... I have a white sgs2 is very nice but im sick of flashing 3-4 times a week because of lagg and bugs ,freezez ,soft reboots etc
super-amoled plus is nice but when i loaded the nexus live wallpaper and saw those pixeleted stripes i was very dissapointed
i want to change it with a galaxy nexus but i have some drawbacks and can you clear my mind and tell me if they are true or false
-first is the gpu before sgs2 i had sgs1 with sgx540 witch was a bad gpu(of course i could be samsungs fault with there shi**y firmwares and drivers)
how is gaming performance on galaxy nexus? for example is gta 3 workink smooth (sgs2 its smooth but still laggs:|)
-does the display have any tint sgs2 is a yellowis green tint with a kind of low brightness + gamma problems:| i don`t have warranty so i dont want to buy a new display)
-hows the sound quality?

-The GPU is fine, it's a beefier version than what was in the SGS1 I believe (it runs at a high clockspeed at the very least). It will run pretty much any modern android game great.
-It seems like at extreme angles there's a bit of a greenish tint. At low brightness you'll see some banding, especially on greys. This is a factor related to AMOLED screens in general.
-Quiet but fine. You can use Volume+ (I think that's what it's called) if you want it louder.
-Camera is actually pretty good.
-Ish.

- From what I have heard GTA3 runs smooth on the GNexus I know the most intensive game I have played (Asphalt 6) runs perfectly fine.
- I haven't noticed any of these issues.
- Sound quality is good, but coming from the speaker on the back, can be a little low.
- I love the camera, it got a bad rap at first but once people adjusted to it we have seen a lot of good pictures.
- I have had a screen protector since day one so I cannot answer that.
Agree with the back speaker, that's something known.
As far as gaming concerns I'm coming from a Sgs and I think is great, no issues so far and Sgs was laggy at all times.
I hand to return my first sgn cos I found a hairlike crack on the screen, 2cm long, but the screen is scratch resistant for sure.
so its a good deal to change my sgs2 with a galaxy nexus? i want it for gaming music social apps and of course display

-I understand the GPU they used is more for displaying 720p quality, but not so much built for gaming. I read that in an article. PM if you want the link. I have to go back and dig it up.
-Sound quality is what it says, but I created my own ringtone and boosted the sound so I have no problem. Just when listening to music or watching a video wear headphones for now or use volume+.
-I'm no photographer myself, but a camera that takes pictures decently on a phone and has flash is good enough for me.
-scratch resistant? No. I have a couple of nicks on my screen that I can't explain. I'm very careful with my phone (or so I thought) and still scratched it. Hope you don't do the same.

First off coming from Nothing but HTC phones before and most recently the sensation the bar for me was high. i used to hate samsung phones with a passion and honestly didnt see myself getting this phone when it was said to be coming from T-mobile....that was until i played wth a demo in the store before launch and was amazed at just how smoothly it operated. no force closes or messages like "htc sense has stopped working " etc.etc, if youve had a htc phone with sense then you knbow what im talking about, as long as they keep moving forward with the galaxy line i dont thimk ill ever own another type of phone, Nexus looks great but no micro-sd slot is the deal breaker and im sure the next galaxy phone will have all the upgrades next year or whenever it comes out beause theres always a next one any how, heres my lists of good and bad
Good
1.Very Snappy -better than any phone ive ever had
2.Tons of memory -sd and built in
3.Camera-although not as good as my sensation, still takes great pics
4. Bigger screen-always a plus
5.Data speeds are incredible, fastest ive ever seen on a phone to date
6. Great design -phone looks great love the curved edges
7.Email support works great for me
8.GPS is very good -locks fast and more accurate than my sensation was
9.FFC is great also - forgot to add this earlier
Bad
1.No wifi calling -but it will get updated ,until then its on the bad list
2.no built in FM Tuner
3.Screen not as bright as i thought, especially whites look tinted
4.could use a few more widgets (music, better weather widget)
The bads are not that bad and i can live with them. My mother -in -law has an epic 4g slide and the whites on hers are definately brighter on her phone, dont know if that can be fixed through an update but that is the only thing that really bothers me about the phone .other than that i love the phone and completely happy with the purchase. i wont root it until we get wi-fi calling just because i wanna see if they update anything else on the phone before i start messing with it - thats my 2 cents
just a note on the brightness, the default auto brightness is actually too low
you can set it manually
originally when the Galaxy S came out too many people complained the brightness was waaaayyy toooooo high "they are blinding my eyes, blah blah blah... and surprisingly enough Samsung actually listened to them of all things
and since then all firmwares now defaults to like 10% brightness only
i actually liked how it was originally, the default brightness for auto was more in the 30% area where everything was crispy crisp.
so now i always manually adjust it since then
Yeah i noticed it came set low, im one of those guys that likes a bright screen ...the brighter the better in my eyes, i leave the brightness cranked all the way up and it still seems to me it should be better or i should say i thought it would be better ,but its not a deal breaker and i dont feel the need to go hide in a cave and turn the brightness all the way down and look for lines and blobs (although im sure i dont have that problem).

I absolutely agree. Auto-bright is way too low/dim for me. I have to adjust it manually, and in doing so the screen looks so much better, sharper, and crisper.
My review coming from the HTC sensation 4g
Good: Snappy, overall very good performance and responsiveness, unlocked bootloader, LIGHTNING FAST web browsing (puts my sensation to shame), nice design, very light for its size, 16gig on board memory expandable with micro card, good battery life, good call quality and of course super AMOLED plus display is gorgeous.
Bad: screen resolution ( definitely not a deal breaker) but could be better, although very good performance it's not as snappy as the exynos powered Galaxy s 2 according to everybody ( never played with an exynos one), GPU not properly optimize ( there shouldnt be any lag with games like dragon fly on this phone), overglow( you know when you hit the top or the bottom of a page and you see that blue glow, wish it was that bounce found in the other galaxy s 2) and finally the FU**ING BLOATWARE!!!!!!!!! PHUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! Overall great phone!
I came from an HTC Sensation 4G as well. After getting 3 replacement Sensations at the T-Mobile store due to manufacture defects they finally gave me the option to upgrade to the Galaxy S II for an additional $20.
I am so happy I went with the upgrade. The build quality is MUCH more solid and screen quality is a night and day difference on the SGS II compared to the Sensation. I thought the bigger phone size might bother me but I've actually realized I prefer it due to the larger screen.
The resolution is taking some getting used to but as someone else mentioned, it's not a deal breaker. And I've heard that there are apps available for rooted users allowing you to adjust the resolution to make it larger. I tried Pixel Density Changer, with no luck though.
For those complaining about bloatware, I recommend rooting (which is 10x easier on the SGS II than it was on the Sensation) and installing the EaglesBlood ROM. It removes pretty much all the bloatware and gets it back to stock Gingerbread form.

I do not think it is a brightness issue. It is contrast issue. It cannot be fixed by cranking up the brightness. However adjusting the brightness does make it a little more bearable.
This is all related to the screen issue we have all been talking about. I did some more research into this topic today and have some evidence to show. Coming up in a new post...
Can contrast be fixed through a software update or is that hardware related

I do not know the answer to that. My guess is that it can fixed through software update. But that really is just a wild guess.

Since the Nexus doesn't have a Q&A section i have a question about the camera before i get one. I am coming from an iPhone 4 and to upgrade from my contract (with 21 months left) it will cost me $300-ish hopefully. Now I have seen reviews comparing the GNEX's camera to the iPhone 4S but nothing to the 4. Now i know it's only 5Mp like the iPhone but what is the quality between the two. Is it about equal to the iPhone 4's or is it worse and such. This is my only major complaint about the device (based on what i heard) i can live with the lack on SD (i've put up with it already with my iPhone)

Coming from an Iphone 4 and a Galaxy S2 i'd place the nexus behind the other 2.
Its not awful but i can certainly notice the quality difference.
Like would you say it's a big difference or is more minor
The GS2 is better for sure but the Nexus is much better in low light shots.
Here is a comparison of the GS2 and Nexus, as I said it is better but the Nexus is no slouch.

This guy's conclusion paragraph is hilarious. The Galaxy S2 is clearly the winner here. The daytime shots are much more vibrant and sharp, the macro shots might have a slight edge on the Galaxy Nexus, and the night shots are just a result of the software dialing the ISO way up producing a clearer but super noisy picture. If you crank up the ISO manually on the S2 you'll probably get similar results at night.
I won't even talk about the flash shots. Both were horrible like phones generally are.
the best camera is the one you have on you
it may be behind the S2 in terms of quality, but you've more chance of getting a better shot due to the zero lag, S2 users cannot guarantee when their phone will take the shot, with the nexus I've got some great shots that needed to be taken as soon as I hit the button!
A question about video recording.
When i choose 1080p over 720p i see a lot of Wavy Lines in the screen....anyone else?
As for the camera shots its just fine for me. No complaints and the heavy flash is perfect.

it was my sons 2nd birthday the other day, I spent a good few hours filming in 1080p and saw nothing like I'm afraid, is it there on playback?
is it the things you're filming that look "wavy"? (rolling shutter)
btw, filming in 1080 for so long (including using the light when indoors) and my battery was still at 40% by the end of the day!

I agree with the night shots, but my day shots are horrible. All washed out.
My front facing camera produces better day shots, its as if they were switched around or the back one takes in too much light
Is there any particular reason why they went with a 5MP camera? I know MPs aren't everything, but I ask because a lot of reviews are pointing to the now-below-high-end-standard megapixel camera as the culprit of the average camera.
Just wondering why Samsung didn't offer at least 8. Did they make any public statement about the reasoning? Does it have something to do with the super quick shutter?

Exactly my poin they dont WANT to, so we'll continue "upgrading"
Well, I saw a skyrocket today for the first time, and noticed a few things:
1. The skyrocket's camera just destroys the nexus camera, no contest. It makes the nexus photos look like they came from a flip phone.
2. The browser is way smoother than the nexus' browser...what? Since when did the galaxy s2 get hardware acceleration?
3. The screen....ok seriously, what the hell? The colors just POP on the skyrocket and almost make the nexus colors look washed out. I thought they were the same exact screens, but the nexus having a higher resolution.
What do you guys think? Hmmm.
1. I agree. The camera of the Galaxy Nexus could be better, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
2. I would wait for 4.0.3 and see what it brings to the Galaxy Nexus.
3. I thought Google purposely lower the saturation to make the colors look more realistic.
So in conclusion, I would wait until we see what improvements are found in 4.0.3 before giving up on the Nexus.
What improvements are 4.0.3 supposed to bring?
http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/16/android-4-0-3-announced-brings-variety-of-optimizations-and-bu/
There's hope still!
Thank god for 4.0.3! I totally agree with OP. Camera is a huge deal to me and coming from the 4S, I was really saddened by the GNex quality. Only thing keeping me on this phone honestly is the buggy ICS I feel has a ton of potential and awaiting Google's updates.
To be quite honest, if the SGII SR had ICS, I would've gotten that initially. I had such high hopes for the Nexus line and this phone is quite disappointing, but I have faith in ICS and that it will take out Apple.
The inferior camera quality problem has something to do with the near zero lag camera the GN has. They probably had to chose one or the other.

There's nothing wrong with the camera if you actually click the screen to focus before shooting. Rapid fire/no focus shots are just that and serve a definite purpose, but people seem to expect maximum quality as well.
There's a reason the Skyrocket has shutter lag. If you want to compare picture quality, focus with both devices. You'd be surprised how they match up.

Oh I agree, I have no problem whatsoever with the GN camera. Takes great pictures IMO. I haven't actually compared them so I didn't want to say either was better or worse. Just a theory as to a possible difference in hardware selection by Samsung/Google if there was a large difference in pic quality like so many seem to claim.
Its funny that I have both phones. Not the sky rocket but the original SGS II unlocked. Both phones are on AT&T.
In all reviews everybody seems to like the camera on SGS II, in my experience I have yet to take a single good photo with it. I am not talking about outdoors with nice natural light. In that light even iPhone 3G took some good photos too. I am talking about indoors with incandescent light. Photos are either too yellow or too dark with no available options in settings to cure this. My wife hates that camera. In fact indoors I like SGN camera alot better as the photos are not too yellow or dark. Grainy with noise, yes but atleast you can see them. SGS II are grainy too but very dark and yellowish on top of being noisy.
SGS II browser is hardware accelerated. I know that because all ported ROMs from SGS II for Captivate always had this note in description. Plus I can see it on the phone too. scrolling is smooth plus switching between tabs is smooth with cool animation. SGN browser is smooth too. I don't know why you have any problems with it. I am running 4.0.3 with franco.kernel and no force GPU turned on its still super smooth. Even the Nova launcher is buttery smooth (specially scolling the dock with 3-docks enabled).
Screen on SGN is washed out as compared to SGS II but do yourself a favor and take a look at a portrait on both phones and you will understand why google didn't choose highly saturated screen like SGS II. Skin color on SGS II is way off and almost to the point that it looks brownish. Not cool.
In the end I can tell you this, get what you like the most. Doesn't matter what myself and other say ... however keep this in mind that even when ICS hits SGS II it would still have TouchWiz and if that's okay with you then by all means go with Sky Rocket.

I think this doesn't get enough attention. After using a Fascinate for awhile, I noticed the color saturation is "better" than the GN's, but everything had a noticeable blue tint. Whites are not white, but rather a very light teal. Inaccurate color reproduction is a common complaint on Fascinate forums.
I'd gladly trade the extra "pop" for truly white whites.

Better? Hope you don't calibrate monitors/screens/tv for a living. Gs2 has very unrealistic colors. And deep blacks is what makes the pop and contrast. Not white, contrary to an very untrue belief as shown with all the tv and monitors in showroom mode at the store to "dazzle" would be buyers. The nexus is by far the best screen with color reproduction, deep blacks and not quite white but warm white is better than a cool white. Take away the 720p and the screen is still awesome.

The best thing they ever did to the nexus s was correct the color saturation. I think it was in 2.3.3 or 2.3.4. It was funny watching everyone complain that it looked yellow when it was just everyone was so used to looking at took much blue.

The GN is a new phone running a new operating system, it will take a few updates before this phone even begins to show the refinement that it's capable of, we need to have some patients. A camera with 5 megapixels is plenty for a phone camera, even a dedicated P/S camera, so please don't get into megapixel wars...it is a pan that doesn't hold water.
The GN is a really good phone now, but I believe it will evolve nicely with updates just like my Nexus One previously did. In addition to the official updates, the XDA community is firmly behind this phone already. Enjoy your GN.

The galaxy s2 has always had hardware acceleration in the browser. In fact the original galaxy s had hardware acceleration in the browser too. Was the first Android phone with hardware acceleration actually.
Are you running the Nexus on At&t? So you paid full price for the phone?
I do think the Nexus hardware is nothing special, but honestly the main purpose of getting this phone, at least with my reasoning, is guaranteed Android updates. I just wish Google would beef up their specs on their Nexus line, they always seem to be behind the curve.
I say if you paid full price the Nexus on At&t then it isn't worth it, return it. If you didn't pay full price and you switched to Verizon and got it subsidized then keep it.
By the time Samsung updates the Skyrocket to ICS, Google will have already come out with Android 6.0. Also expect one update from Samsung to ICS, and no updates EVER AGAIN. You will probably get ICS 4.0.3 and will never even get any incremental updates that are key to security and performance.
Samsung just sucks like that. Wish Google had chosen someone else to make the newest Nexus. Hopefully next year Motorola!

1. Maybe they camera is better on the skyrocket, but you probably just forgot to focus properly on the Galaxy Nexus, I'm very satisfied with the Galaxy Nexus camera.
2. I have never tried a browser as smooth as the Galaxy Nexus one, 4.0.3 makes the phone fly, 4.0.1 lags.
3. As the other guy said, it's to make it more realistic.
There are already color mods implemented in kernels, so no problem.
It uses the same processor as the Sensation XE, and.. well... that thing sucks badly, one of it's problems is driving high resolution screens, and 720p is pretty high...

Uhh thats funny because i compared my fascinate to my buddies sgs2 skyrocket and the fassy blew it away. Whites are crisp with no blueish tint like the skyrocket. Im running cm7 with glitch v13, so maybe your talking about stock rom and kernel.

Yeah, I got a chance to play around with the Fascinate for a couple hours (a friend's phone) and compare it to the GN. He's tech-illiterate, so the phone is definitely bone stock.
Never handled the Skyrocket, but the OEM Fassy definitely has blue all over. Reds look maroon, greens look aquamarine, yellows look green.
People, we are talking about a phone camera. Most people are not going to hang out 6 months for an update to make the nexus functional. By then this phone will be history. And good riddance. I am back to an ATRIX 2, and it is a better phone in every way shape and form than the nexus.
Hi everyone, I currently own a Samsung galaxy s2 I9100 and I freaking love that phone, but I love new things and I'm really intrigued by the Galaxy nexus. The 720P screen is a killer and it has ice cream sandwich. I've held the phone before it came out in the US and for the short period of time i played with it I was impressed. I use my phone mostly for web browsing ( 95% of the time) then calls and texts of course but I don't really care about the megapixels in the camera cause I don't take a lot of pics. I also don't really play games, I got my PS3 for that so basically I just wanna know how this phone compares to the Galaxy SII I9100. Is it worth upgrading or should I wait for ICS to hit the S2 and get a super phone in the summer? Tell me what you guys think thanks!
If you love your s2, stay with it. I had one and I know what I'm talking about. But here is the reason why I changed it for the nexus. I didn't like the s2's screen for having that bad production quality with all that rests of glue and the uneven color quality. The Nexus is much better at that. Also the resolution of the galaxy nexus is way better. Something that bugged me a lot on the s2, since the display is huge and you wanna see a lot of pixels on such a big screen, right?!
But the most bang for the bug is ICS and I like the simplicity of it on the nexus. I think Samsung will get it on the s2 with a lot more of crapware.

unless 720p is a must have... I think you can wait for the next superphone in the summer.
I had the i9100 and switched to the GNex because I wanted to get away from a vendor or carrier holding back updates.
I don't think the screen is as good on the GNex. Less colorful and more grainy. Where I really noticed it was the top bar on the facebook app. It really pops with blue on the i9100 but seems drab on the GNex. Videos seem more grainy but that is because I'm watching on a high res screen on the GNex. High def video looks better but the low res screen on the i9100 hid some of the flaws before.
The camera seems to react quicker. (Less shutter lag.) I can't tell a difference as far as picture quality. The tiny lens on the phone has more to do with the quality than the sensor IMO.
Battery seems about the same. Of course the GNex is going dead a lot more quickly right now but that's because it's new and I'm playing with it more.
ICS is taking some getting used to. I never used the search bar and it's annoying that I can't get rid of it now. Different contact structure and having to move ringtones into a directory instead of long tapping and just setting as ringtone is a pain especially when you don't have a file browser installed by default. Widgets can't be added by long pressing on the home screen have to go to the app drawer.
Just little things you have to get used to.
just use different launcher
no need to stay with stock
adw ex is awesome, many more features
and no google search on every page
Thanks a lot for your replies guys, I think I'm gonna stick with the Galaxy SII for now, I always jump on a phone soon as it comes out, I think I'm going to hold off maybe till the Galaxy 3 comes out or maybe try something else. You guys enjoy your phones thanks again!
I'm "trying" out the Nexus for a couple more days and unsure if I'm keeping it or going back to my s2. I love the screen and physical shape of the Nexus but my s2 is smoother and quicker. The Nexus feels so good in hand due to its shape. Guess I'll be flipping a coin before the two weeks are up. Lol

Screen is probably the biggest reason. The slcd2 on thr one x is probably one of the best screens I've used.
Battery life is around the same, but it should improve with later updates.
Most of the quality control issue are sorted out if not all of them. Just make sure you get a recent one. Granted I have a first batch one x made on China and it's perfect

make the jump... i came from the s2 and loved that phone to bits and still say it was the best phone i ever had but my One X is hands down ten times better and love it...You will not regret it my friend and once you get to grips with flashing roms and kernels you are in for a winner

How do i know if the htc one x is recent one ?
And my friend got htc one x yestrday i saw it
But there is a weird thing when he opened it the sticker on the screen (is htc one x ) and as i know and seen on videos that it comes with sticky on it says(im the one you have been waiting for)
Does this mean new ones comes with only htc one x sticky on it ?

How is the gaming preformance is it better than sgs2 ' and does it over heat more than the sgs2, when playing games?
And is it less laggy or more laggy than the galaxy s2, when it comes for multi tasking ?

hey...find it better to be honest with you gaming wise. and no heat or anything like that. and no it is buttery smooth for me my friend..plus there are threads in general were it guides you on how to get the best gaming experience..
in general anything you need to know you will find a guide here
and this phone like i said is fast, smooth, good performance wise and gaming could not ask for a better phone
If you don't care for removable battery and additional storage space then it's a fine phone. If the two fore mentioned are of any significance then I suggest to skip the phone.
The screen on the one x is fantastic, it's sharp, clear and bright. Better than amoled for whites and colours are closer to natural. However blacks are not as deep and contrast not as high.
The performance is fine for a tegra 3 device. The heat is not much of an issue it does heat up but it won't burn you or explode type of heat. My sgs2 use to heat up as well when playing games.
Give it a hands on and if you like it you'll be pleased with it. I adore mine and wouldn't swap it for anything at the present moment.

I had the Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) then the international version of the Galaxy S2 (i9100) and now the Tegra 3 HOX. I used to be a Samsung fanboi so it was a gamble for me, plus my wife has an iphone 4S so I can compare agaianst that one too. Hi, here are my comments. Keep in mind that you are not switching from an old Motorola to a One X you are switching from one of the best smartphones ever made (Galaxy S2). Here are my comments.
1. First week: complete culture shock. I missed the deep blacks and punchy colors of my Galaxy S2. HOX looked ok more natural but kind of washed out colors, I missed those saturated colors of SAMOLED. Speed wise I did not see what the fuzz was about. Speedwise I did not see any differences. SGS2 felt more fluid, tiny lag on the HOX. I did like Sense though. Rooting the HOX was scary compared to the SGS2 but I got through it. Missed the SGS2 XDA community a lot. Dissapointed with HOX, wanted to return it, but I remember having the same feelings with the Captivate so I decided to give it a try.
2. Second week: either my eyes got used to the blacks and colors on the One X or my display adjusted itself. Now I am seeing what the fuzz is about, now the blacks seem fine on the HOX and oh my those colors and resolution!!!! I compared it side to side with the SGS2 (already sold to a friend) and it was a relief, even my friend seems jealous of the HOX screen. Facebook, ebay and Kindle look like CRAP om the SGS2 compared to the One X, those whites!!! Side to side with my wife iphone 4S, on par cant see much difference which is a good thing as the iphone display is superb. Looking at kindle with white background the One X looks better. Speed is fine its fast but still that annoying lag when turning homescreens. Camera is great if you fiddle with the settings as sometimes it chooses a high ISO and look grainy but look sharp with ISO100. Lowlight shots are great way better than SGS2.
3. Third week: Installed Charmeleon ROM, added transparent notification pulldown, great notification settings menu (EQS) and slide status bar to adjust brightness, things I missed on my SGS2!!!! Solved phone lag, it was just a matter of installing APEX Launcher and volia! My phone now feels faster and looks better than what I had on my SGS2!!!!! I made it!!!! I am in ecstasy! Only 2 problems!!!! MY WIFI IS BROKEN (known design flaw) and my battery still sucks when compared with my SGS2!!! SGS2 18 hrs use/4 hrs display time. HOX: 12 hrs use/2 hrs display time. Yuck!
4. Fourth week : The only 2 problems I had with my HOX (battery life and wifi dropping out) are now solved!!!! Solved the lousy battery life by decreasing brightness . I found out that if you decrease it at around 30% it still looks great you dont need it at top brightness and now I am getting 22 hrs/4 hrs battery life on average but for instance I am doing a movie test and it has been running for 5 hours and still has 37% left! The wifi issue, this one was tricky: I opened my HOX and adjusted the wifi contacts myself. Not that difficult but I was lucky I didnt damage anything. Now wifi works perfectly!
5. Ultimate test : SGS3 vs HOX encounter. So my friend went to a meeting and I borrowed his SGS3 for 2 hours and made comparisons like crazy. Let me tell you the SGS3 is a great phone I declare it a tie vs the HOX. The HOX screen still looks better specially the whites and it is more defined and clear. Design and materials on the HOX are better however the SGS3 also is a nice phone it is not the piece of crap some reviewers want you to believe. Plus there is the removable battery thing.
In summary I am delighted with my HOX, best phone I ever had. However, as you can see I had to make the following tuning:
1. Root
2. Installed Charmeleon / Faux Kernel
3. Waited some battery cycles (charge at 10%). It does improve over time!
4. Lower brightness
5. Installed APEX Launcher for turbo fast transitions!
6. Fixed wifi myself (as I am out of warranty anyways)
7. Definetely not having SGS3 envy!
I say go for it IF you are able to return it easily in case you have any out of the box issues. It seems you have better chance of getting a perfect SGS3 vs a perfect HOX.

Hi man thanks for ur replay wow u did a great review thanks alot !
Now my only fear is about the wifi( because if it had any problems i cant return it there is no warranty for devices where i live......)
I talked with a friend of mine who just bought the htc one x today
He told me that he tried the wifi and its working fine with no dc
And with long range
If i got my htc one x does this mean that 100/100 i will get a problem with wifi ? Or not ?

No Issues
I have had my HOX for almost 3 months now.
I have had no issues till now.
I always get great wifi signal strength and speed.
This was a great review! Just came from the Skyrocket (great phone by the way) to the HOX....tried waiting out the SGS3 but needed a phone ASAP. Initially thought I'd just swap when the SGS3 hits stores but this one is growing on me. It has such beautiful hardware! Thanks for this info.
