Soladec Hybrid Solar Power Charger
or
New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 ?
I just purchased Soladec and It charges the Nexus S fine but it does not charge Galaxy W I8150, even though Galaxy W is a newer model compared to Nexus S
Is there a way to make it work with Galaxy W or an accessory which i can buy ?
Do i have to purchase a different battery for Samsung Galaxy W to test if it would charge it ?

I use my external charger only. It is a charger from China, but it works without problems.

Ill purchase it if it will charge with my Soladec charger device.
I need to use Soladec device to charge my device and not the power outlet in the house.
How does the above charger work, the site is in german. Is there an english page for it ?
For e.g. I use the standard USB cable which came with I8150 and connect it with Soladec, it uses USB for charging devices. Would i be able to charge the Charger with a USB connection instead of wall outlet (A/C)?

Not sure about Soladec. Here a english link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Q702-2X-Bat...587397?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f0f986d85
The USB is just to connect the your phone to. It is not for the current.

In that case, i wont be able to charge the charger via USB. So i wont be able to use it with the Soladec.
I dont understand is, why does it charge Nexus S and not Galaxy W I8150. Is there a difference of battery used in both ?

Hi,
I have noticed my phone charges much quicker via the USB on my PC. It takes about 2 hours to charge fully, while the wall charger takes 3-5 hours to charge like 40% or something.
The specifications for the wall charger are:
INPUT: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 0.2A
OUTPUT: 5.1V=== 850mA
I do'nt know what the specs for my USB port are? Can I check it in the BIOS? I have googled and found it's something around 5V 500mA, so technically my phone would charge slower...
This is how the wall charger looks like (you can unplug the USB-cable and use it on the PC since it's not a standard USB-mini connection).

Well the 500mA is the minimum spec for USB, basically they say its at least 500mA so that manufactures know how much power to expect and can design devices to run at that amount of power or less. That being said, USB can be anything above 499mA, I have seen a laptop put out 2000mA before even. So yes it is quite possible that your computer could put out over the 850mA of your charger. It probably won't say what its capable of delivering in your BIOS, if you really want to know you could try to find the specs for your computer/mobo/usb chipset. All that being said, you could always get a different USB wall adapter if you wanted to charge faster w/o a computer, just because it came with the one you currently use doesn't mean you have to use it (it is just a powered USB port after all).

Thanks, I will have to look into this, since someone else was implying my charger is broken...

Seems like your wall charger is defective, normally It takes about 1.5-2 hours for working wall charger to make the job done.
Standard PC USB port output is 5v==500mA, so it's strange that you can fully charge 1140 mAh battery just in 2 hours.

Hey guys, i need to find another charger for my galaxy nexus

But i need an EU exit which is 2 round pins, is it possible to buy it somewhere ? i need the Samsung official one. I do have different adapters but its not the same like the real one, most of them don't fit. Moreover i use a EzoPower travel international wall charger but the speed of charging is less then half of the real charger.
Thx!

I use all sorts of third party chargers and they pretty much all work, What you need to look for is the rated amperage. the GN needs a 1 amp charger, most chargers out there for cell phones are rated at 750 mA or 500 mA.
You should also check to make sure the phone is in "AC Charge" mode, as this will indicate that it's trying to draw the full power from the wall charger, if it's set as "USB Charge" it will only draw 500mA regardless of what it's connected to. You can cheat this by shorting the two data pins, this will force the phone into AC mode.
something like this would do the job, at 2 amps, it's overkill, but I assure you, your phone will charge *Very* fast.

The trick, look for chargers designed for the Ipad that have a USB port, then use your own wire.
The EU model ETA0U80E,
http://www.expansys-usa.com/samsung...r-for-galaxy-note-5-3-eu-micro-usb-1a-224814/
it's thesame EU nexus come in box.
try also ETA0U10E, same, but without USB cable.
Hello, as the title suggests , my HTC One X is using more power than the charger can provide, even when idle.
When the phone is on, it doesn't charge unless the screen is off, and even then it is very slowly. Almost we whenever I turn the screen on it starts to discharge when plugged in. I am using the standard 1000mah charger.
It only used to do that when I was playing 3d games (only the highest).
I am using ARHD 7.1.0 and faux 004b6.
Please help, this is hard to live with
After I wiped battery stats and had it on for about 10 minutes (started on 5%).

Mine did this when I was charging on the computer via USB but I think it was due to the fact USB is only 500mA i think and the cable I had was like 2 meters in lenght so wasnt expecting much. Are you using the USB you got with it?

Use the original cable and see what happens, most 2m cables are very inefficient.
I got this to and I am using a Samsung galaxy s charger still when I play minecraft on my phone it don't charge it fast very...... Very....... Very...... Slow progress then

Sent from my Stock HTC One X and waiting on jelly bean using Tapatalk And XDA Premium
When you play a fairly intensive game like minecraft and try to charge it then yes it will take longer to charge. For the quickest charging time use the official plug and cable and have the phone turned off.
Looks like it was the cable, the metal inside had gone all black I don't know why. Thanks for the help.
just saw this news from gsmarena
and the happiest is below word
so it’s backwards compatible with MHL 1.0 devices like the Galaxy Note II and Samsung Galaxy S III.

have you had any experiences with the other adaptor? if so, how was it?
You can see the port to put your charger into on the picture. Its on the main MHL part parallel to the part that plugs into the phone.

MsElise,
1. The Micro USB "PLUG" to plug into your Galaxy S3/S4/Note2.
2. MHL 2.0 enabled 5V 0.9A current so it does require additional charger to plug in.
3. The other Micro USB "PORT" can use for charging your galaxy devices.

Hello you guys, I just bought an HTC 10 yesterday. And my stock charger has problem. When I plug in, its only charge about 3s ( On my phone, notice connect fast charge also appear ) then auto turn off. Led turn to orange, and turn off after 3s too. I tried to put another charger from my LG with 5v-1,8A, and its ok. With my charger, I tried with many others phone, and its still ok too. I'm wondering the problem comes from my HTC 10 or my charger and type-C cable? Anyone have the same problem with me? Pls help me :crying::crying: I bought this phone from an user and it doesn't have warranty, I'll buy Anker charger which support QC 3.0 but now I'm so confused. Give me your advice.. Sr for bad English.

Here is my stock charger, I think it's original
So the charger works with other phones and other chargers work with your 10? Very odd. It doesn't sound like a firmware issue, try a hard reset and make sure there's nothing in the ports. At least you can charge it with another cable until you resolve it.

Thank you, finally I've found the reason came from my charger. It only works with devices which not have Fast charge technology. Yesterday I tried with Samsung S6's charger, and my HTC 10 has no problem. Battery from 13%-46% in 20 mins. I'll test again with charger which has QC 3.0 ^^ Have a nice day buddy.

Ah that makes sense! Glad you got to the bottom of it.
The stock cable is bad, I've tried several cables and the one that works the best is this one
