whos undervolting? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

share what kernels your on and what you are volting them to! maybe some screen shots too

I'm using franco.kernel with 925, 1025, 1125 mV for 700, 1000, 1200 MHz. It's been running totally stable for days.
I used to get random reboots even with higher voltages on other kernels.
Franco.kernel rocks!

[Q] havs or svs what's the difference ???

I was wondering what's the difference for me havs is a bit laggy but what should be the differences
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Static and adaptive voltages but if you either search on google or in the kernel threads you would find the same and more.
Which is better????
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
There is no such thing as better. Otherwise they would not make both. Havs is usally undervolted, so if your phone is using the cpu, it uses less power. But not all phones like havs. Bottomline, try havs and if you don't like it go for svs.
Thanks I flashed the latest havs kernel and it seems fine what voltage should I go for 875 or 925 ???

Depends which one your phone's happy with..... if it's fine running at 875 mV then that's good. If it crashes a lot at 875 mV then go for the 925 mV (which will give it more stability...)
Thanks 875 is fine will click thanks button when I go on my computer

Overclocking the desire

Hi everyone
What is the maximum frequency desire can be overclocked to?
And where can i get the kernel?
Thank you in advance
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Max stable OC is 1190MHz and can be found here. Scroll down to the kernels and see whats what.
One caveat: 1190 is not universally stable. Some desires can handle it, but many have found that the phone freezes requiring a battery pull. Overclocking to 1152 seems stable for everyone afaik.

I stand corrected
Can anyone help me to use setcpu?
It always return to the default frequency 998mhz!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Hi.
I tried many kernels and many oc profiles with setcpu and now I'm back on stock frequencies 998 mhz, because with that it is stable, batterydrain is "normal" and the quadrant score isn't a score for me...

What are the perfect uv values of franco kernel?

Using the original one? Would it be better?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I have mine set @:
350mhz - 800mv
700mhz - 975mv
1000mhz - 1100mv
1200mhz - 1175mv
1300 and above I dont use so I leave them alone.
Hope that helps ya out. Im on Franco 18.4 as well using the conservative gov.

I'd say it's not worth the hassle at all. GN has smartreflex which chooses the best voltage for each freq slot. The actual values are much smaller than the nominal values you see in setcpu.

[Q] Undervolting issue

I'm using arconium 8.0 and doom kernel v21.
My problem is when I enable undervolting ( I undervolt 75mV )
It's very stable when not charging,
but after charged the phone over night,
I saw it stuck in boot loop.
So, is there any method (maybe apps ?) to make a profile so that i can use stock voltage while charging the phone automatically?
Had the same a while ago
I played with some voltages a bit and the problem is gone

what's the exact values of voltage you use ?
here's mine:
134400: 825
184320: 825
192000: 825
249600: 825
364800: 825
460800: 875
576000: 925
652800: 975
768000: 975
806400: 1025
921600: 1075
1017600: 1125
1113600: 1125
1209600: 1125
1305600: 1175
1401600: 1175
----------------
1516800: 1225
1612800: 1225
1708800: 1275
1804800: 1325
1900800: 1375
2016000: 1425
Different for each device, but I just undervolted each frequencie from 134-1401MHz -100mV and it runs 100% stable for me.
But not a lot of devices can take that much undervolt and run stable

CPU Speeds

What are the best CPU Speeds for the Play? and why?
Elaborate. You don't say what you're using it for. For normal use? 245MHz to 1GHz works great for me (stock speed)
For gaming 700Mhz to 1400Mhz max.

I'm currently using 245 MHz - 1.5 GHz with SmartAssV2. Great performance and battery life. =)
245 mhz min and 1.3ghz max SmartassV2
Good for games and daily use.
OndemandX?? SmartassV2's better for all of that.

100mhz with screen off, 300mhz when on the launcher, 750mhz when playing emulators, and 1.2ghz for psx emulator.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch w/ Stock 4.0.4
Xperia Play R800X w/ supercharged stock 2.3.3 and doomkernel
I'm testing Superbad governor right now and I'm liking it, but it's a kind of Smartass v2.
I think the best maximum frecuency is 1.2GHz because gives a 20% boost with mild battery drain, but with some undervolting you can go up to 1.4GHz or 1.5GHz because undervolting relieves the extra power consume.
but still i dont understand what is governor function ? what is the difference between all those governor ? what each of the governor do . for example what is the difference between smartassv2 and ondemand .
@kuro... To better understand the govs I suggest taking a look @ wedgess kernel posts. He basically has them broken down & describes what each one does or how they work.
