[Q] How do you center the status bar clock? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi All,
Please forgive me if this has been answered somewhere before but... I have seen some pics in the Themes area of people with their small "status bar clock" centered on the screen as opposed to it being beside the battery (much like Ive seen on MIUI) and Im wondering how you do this?
Do you need a specific ROM/ is it ROM dependent? Can it be done on the stock ROM?
Please advise and thanks in advance...

it's in AOKP.
Cannot be done on stock ROM.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am new to this device so can you explain what AOKP is exactly? Also... How did you add the toggles to your drop down? Is that also AOKP dependent?

It's a custom ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402341
Refer to stickied posts to get started.
1. Download ROM, Gapps, Kernel (if desired) and put it on your phone.
2. Unlock Bootloader
3. Flash Clockwork Recovery
4. Flash ROM, Gapps, Kernel
5. reboot.
And yes various ROMs will include that toggle.

Cool. Im gonna do the unlock and root and CWM recovery tomorrow using one of the "one click tools" I have found here for this by wugfresh... Will I be able to use this ROM if I do things that way as opposed to the list that you provided?

yes you just need to unlock bootloader and flash clockwork recovery after doing those 2 you'll need to flash the ROMs
make sure to wipe factory settings, cache, dalvik before flashing ROM, gapps, kernel (optional but highly recommended)

What is optional but recommended? Wiping or installing gapps and kernel? Also... I just took a peek at the download page for the AOKP ROM and it says something about matching the MD5SUM of the ROM and the GAPPS but I dont see any matching numbers... How does that work exactly?

Optional but recommended: Kernel.
Download links w/ MD5: https://sites.google.com/site/androidopenkangproject/downloads-1/downloads
Verify MD5: google hashtab (after installing, right click the file you wish to verify -> properties -> hashes -> select md5 -> verify it with the one on the site).
if you have a file you dl'd and it doesn't match the md5 hash, redownload it (select a different mirror)
press the thanks button if this has helped you, thanks

Thanks and yes... It has helped me. I have now rooted and flashed CWM onto my device using the wugfresh method (many thanks to wugfresh for his program) and I have thanked you here for your help.

WARNING: I take no responsibility if you screw anything up and neither does Cyanogen or anyone besides yourself.
This is the Crackflashers CM7 nightly builds. It includes CyanogenMod settings and gingerbread in the install. So here we go.
STEP 1: Getting Clock Work Recovery mod 3.0
This is probably the hardest part of it all. Even though it's super easy.
There are many ways to do this part but after trying them all I believe this is the easiest way;
Thanks a ton to dustrho

This just worked fine for me...
1. copy the file to the root of your sd card and rename it recovery.img (renaming not necessary, just makes life easier)
2. open terminal and type 'su' then hit enter
3. type 'flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img' then hit enter
4. type 'reboot recovery' then hit enter and you should go to CWM recovery

Click to collapse
Note: you do not need to fast boot for this method
CWR MOD NEEDS TO BE ORANGE
STEP 2: Downloading the needed files
The CM7 Nightly builds can be found here: clicky
Download the latest build and google-apps and place them in the Root of your phone.
STEP 3: Backup and wipe and install
1.) Reboot into recovery
2.) Do a backup
3.) Wipe your data and cache
4.) Install your CM7 rom zip file
5.) Install your google apps zip file
NOTE: you must install both in the same recovery!
6.) reboot
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You should now be guided through a gingerbread set-up
Thanks to really everyone at XDA! Especially Cyanogen himself though
KNOWN BUGS:
(please help me out and add to the list)
Wifi Doesn't work! FIX: reboot
Nice guide but there aren't any nightly builds available. The ones from crackflashers are built by gridlock, not by the cm team. Nightlies should begin to show up soon; proof here

I keep getting the flash image: not found error and i know i have it there..
You likely don't have the flash_image executable in /system/bin, hence the flash_image not found error. There's a guide in this very subforum, located here, on how to add it to your rooted Vision.

[Q] How to install kernel on galaxy S3 sprint

Can someone explain how to install custom kernel want to instal Ktoonz Kernel running free gs3 rom V 2.O can it be installed via Aroma installer.
Don't know. But you have not searched at all .....
You can install it by downliading the zip file then going into recovery and flashing it. Then wipe cache dalvik and fix permissions then reboot and you are done .

I have searched and unable to find any definitive tutorials for ktoonz or GS3. I have tried to flash kernel end up with continual bootloop.
1st root
2nd kernel
3rd rom
Kernel can not be installed after rom has been installed.
Tutorials are showing tar files I have a CWM zip file, I'm assuming kernel before rom.
Step 1: Boot Into Recovery
Step 2: Make a Backup
Step 3: Flash This http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1319515&d=1347395869
Step 4: Flash the Kernel. I recommend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800576
(Note: Make sure you get the one for TouchWiz if you are running a stock based ROM or AOSP if you are running an AOSP ROM.)
Step 4: Wipe Cache and Dalvik
Step 5:Reboot
Step 6: Be Happy

If I flash a kernel it's usually after the Rom.
Think about it your going to flash a custom kernel, then flash a Rom (most come with a preinstalled kernel). That'll over write your custom kernel.
Like its been said make sure your doing tw to tw and aosp to aosp.

You have things a bit mixed up. If you are doing a ROM and Kernel the ROM should go first.
From your Custom Recovery (rooted phone with Clockwork Mod recovery or TWRP)
Flash the ROM
Then the Kernel
Make sure to always clear both Dalvik-Cache and Cache after a ROM or Kernel flash
Then restart
When clearing the Dalvik-Cache and Cache your phone will take extra time on the first boot, and on my Sprint TW SGS3 4.1.1 Stock+Root it says "optimizing Apps" on the first reboot after having the Caches cleared.
Big thing you had mixed up was flashing the ROM after the kernel.. That will just overwrite the Kernel you wanted to do *Grin*..
As others mentioned, make sure you Keep TW (TouchWiz) with TW, and AOSP (AOKP) with AOSP (CM10/10.1) for the ROM and Kernel's to match or you will have issues (boot loops, random crashes, and other mixed results).
I'm using ktoonz kernel right now, was using AGAT kernel prior, both have been very nice.
Happy Flashing
Frre GS3 is TW JB rom. I was asking when to flash beacause I did flash after rom. Do I have to flash immediately after ROM is installed??? Trying it now will report back results thanks to all for thei input

No, you don't have to install the custom kernel right after flashing the ROM, you _could_ flash FreeGS3 v2 (for example), and run it for a while and then reboot into recovery whenever you feel like trying a different kernel and flash say AGAT kernel, wipe the Dalvik-Cache and Cache, then restart to give the new kernel a try.
Fun times!
Finally it worked dont know what I was doing wrong??? But thanks to all
Note: The rom cleaner on this thread works on the verizon GS3 with the model number SCH-I535

No kitkat touchwiz rom will boot on your device otherwise.
Love your work Cnexus but Im hoping you would provide a little clarification.
1) Since you say this requires installation of the stock Tar Im assuming this will still have Knox built in? specifically in the bootloader I know the apps can be deleted but the bootloader is separate.
2) If I flash the ND8 tar can I downgrade to a previous version ?
Never mind

For security reasons take a backup before flashing.

After installation, I still find my recovery or installing a new recovery from your zip file?
Any advice or suggestions?

It must work in Italy.
The included recovery is from NUT, entering recovery still the same.
If you want to use xposed, you must it flash separately then. There is a special version for us here in the official xposed thread.
If you come from kitkat then I recommended you to make a factory reset in recovery and make a clean install.
