Don't use stock?
In all seriousness it could be a bad flash it bad download. First try wiping data and rebooting and if that doesn't work, I would flash the deodexed version in the development section.

For some dumb reason, I did not realize that was a full unrooted rom. I kept reading it as it just removed root. I'm illiterate.

Are there any kernels available to use on the stock ROM? I would flash another ROM but then I wouldn't have working MMS since I'm flashed to Cricket

Why don't you just do apn backup and restore? You back up your stock apns and then any new ROM you use you would just delete those ones and restore your stock ones. I do that to all my 3.5 roms and that's how I get mms to work

No. I'm going to do that and flash it then report my results.
EDIT: Just did this. Wifi is still broken =/
Honestly don't know. I've used that kernel on a stock rom no problem. I would say maybe a bad download? Otherwise I got nothing.

It seem your phone can not flash new kernel. You must root the stock kernel before flash drell's #21
Flash this one first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133169, do not reboot, then flash #21
Check setting>about to sure you have new kernel.
ok so i was gonna delete this.. but im getting really confused..
i got the full el30 update
rooted
flashed the el30 kernel
and everything was working perfect
later i tried flashing thunderhawk
it finished installing pretty quick
and then i got stuck at boot up
flashed cm7 and got an "installation aborted" msg
restored a backup of thunderhawk on ei22
and it worked and i had the el30 modem
so i went to cwm and factory reseted it cuz i ddint want the whole settings of it all and my desktop and apps and stuff
then i got stuck at bootup again
i restored my backup again and its working now i have thunderhawk on the el30 modem
my question is basically do any roms work on el30??
why does my back up restore and work but when i flash a new rom it doesnt work???
Maybe bad downloads? Did you try Factory Data Reset and then immediately flash the ROM?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
well this file has been on my sd card since I first flashed thunderhawk so it should work but it is a possibility..
Ill try again
But ei22 roms do work on el30 right??

If you're talking about the modem then yes they defenitely do... if you're talking the kernel then I wouldn't have a clue... never tried to mix and match a kernel and rom...

Yes... but you won't be on 2.3.6 anymore... and thunderhawk will contain the ei22 kernel also... so yes that will work...

Yeah but once you do that and install your ROM, you are completely EI22 again except for the modem. For that you can restore your backup and just flash the modem delta.

When it does just let it install. When it fails just pull the battery and boot. No more notifications (thanks Flastnoles11).

Ok so here is my noobish question.
When flashing themes through recovery, do I have to revert to my nandroid backup every time I want to switch themes, or can I just flash one theme on top of the other?
Dont know if this impacts the answer, but im running frosty 11.6.
Thanks in advance
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Flash the themes over each other with just wiping cache and dalvik. If you come across any issues, dirty flash the ROM you're running to revert back to stock theme.

It is the same as the leak. You could have just stayed...

I was stock rooted ICS before. Didn't see a diff was done.
To get root back can I flash the one from the repository with no data? Or is there a simpler solution

You could always flash a recovery then flash superuser and flash back to stock kernel.

(Sorry if I'm asking a repetitive question.)
Does the leak GB27 match the official GB27 that just came out?
I'm on FL24 stock + root. I don't want to use flash an unrooted FL24, download Kies, update to GB27, then root it.
Wondering if I can just use the One-Click method from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191954
so I can avoid doing all that work and still have the same result.
I'm only asking because I read that GB27 repartitions the storage (or something like that).
I did what you didn't want to do. Some people stated that they are the same but I don't know for sure. I'm having problems accessing the settings and I wanted root back so I just flashed the no data on top of all this. My settings is still messed up and crashes.

I just updated my phone to latest JB as well, I was previously FL24 ICS Stock Root.
Have you figured out if you can use the same Odin Root?

Did you unroot it before updating? Did you just let Kies do it while rooted and had no problems.
