Just reflash a firmware via ODIN...
instead of reflashing the whole stock rom just flash the stock recovery using odin

I too installed cwm on my galaxy w but it wouldn't make backups, I've been searching the forum for a while to find out how to uninstall it, do you just go in to odin and still use ancora as ops? I don't know what 'one package' to install though, any help would be greatly appreciated :laugh:

the recovery package i attached in my previous post : extract it , use ancora as ur ops and select the recovery.tar.md5 as ur one package
Hello guys I have rooted my phone via Exynos Abuse v 1.40 apk everything went well but I cant see Clockwork Mod Recovery (CWM) when I try to enter CWM something else come up
Android System recovery <3e> (Please See the image)
How can I download it? Do I need PC for that or can do without pc?
Also do I need Clockwork Mod Recovery to install a ROM?
Im a noob guys please take it easy with me.
Also what would you recommend for a newbie with newly rooted phone?

You need to flash cwm via odin. Yes you need it to flash another rom and yes you need a PC.

must be the latest version. I was wondering is it normal to not have CWM when you root via Exynos Abuse v 1.40 apk? I have downloaded ROM manager and there wasnt my phone option. thats why I was seeking for help.

Exynos Abuse only root your phone, it will not install cwm or busybox. You'll need to install them separately...
You should try twrp. More user friendly and can be flashed without pc.

If you want to just flash zip file then no need to use CWM recovery (you have to use stock kernel too if you want to reset counter at every boot, if warranty is concern for you)
simply flash zip file with mobile odin without having CWM.

practically i never used any custom ROM, but custom ROM having it then you should get by flashing flashable zip of ROM with OTA/Update zip by mo odin.

Use the root for GT-I9195. It should work on all S4 mini's. You might need a working ClockworkMod recovery though.

I looked for instruction to instal CWM without the root but i can't find. I guess i have to flash it with odin ?

Just make sure you make a backup of the I257M rom because there is no copy anywhere on the net and when you flash with I9195 it will change your phone to show it being an I9195
hello everyone, i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II(GT-N7102 Daul sim) that i got from a friend of
mine. im not sure if its a clone or not but im having hard time putting in a custom recovery. the odin
method will not work nor will it go into odin mode and yes ive tried several different ways and it simply
will not work. ive been at this for about a week now.
so my question(s) at this point is:
1. Is there a flash-able recovery zip file that i can install via stock recovery?
2. Is it safe flash a custom recovery using the skipsoft tool kit via sideloader in the stock recovery(ADB)?
or
3. is it safe to install a custom recovery through the Rom Installer App?
morale of the story here folks is i just want put in a custom english rom but i cant do that without a custom recovery. and if anything i just want Gapps to work on my current rom(for now anayways)
also this probably off topic but i would like to know if theres a way to tell if i have a clone or not
your help and wisdom will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!

Yep just flash recovery in Oden then supersu in the recovery that you just flashed......
