My g2 keyboard lights dont turn on some roms. It works fine with other roms. Is there a way to permanantly fix this issue?? And thank you
This is a bug that I also encountered a couple of times, currently also occurring on andromadus which I'm running right now. At least with the ICS roms the bug appears when you turn off auto brightness, however I read that the keyboard lights are supposed to work when you crank the display brightness to above 50%.

Hi,
My automatic brightness was not working properly so i downloaded sensor test. The sensor works fine but it cuts in and out.
It keeps switching from 10/10 to the real value than back to 10/10.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Was working fine before i installed cyano
Thanks
Bumping this as I have a similar problem.
The sensor doesn't seem to recognise any light values between 10 and 300-350, it either says it's pitch dark or that I'm outdoors (checked with two different light sensor apps). I'm using the stable release of CM7.
It's causing problems with automatic brightness obviously, as I can only adjust the settings to either have a dimmed screen during the day, or have my eyes burnt out when it's actually pitch dark.
Any ideas?
CM7 has settings for auto brightness and it actually works. They're in the CM settings.
I've got a bog stock Desire running 2.2 and according to Sensor Test, the light sensor doesn't work at all!
Sometimes this has happend to me in CM7... but I reset the levels then it was working gud....

you can check this thread where all the levels are explained in detail for CM7
CM7 has its own brightness levels... but they are somewhat slow to update. I've tried changing their values - but it only helps a bit.
I must say that I was testing it indoors... not outdoors.
I'm currently on cm72-111128.2017-NIGHTLY-Defy.
Everything works fine except that recently I notice sometimes after I turn off the screen with power button the four function buttons are still bright (technically it's three b/c the search button seemed to be broken a week ago). And that might be the reason that occasionally the battery drains too fast.
My ways to solve the issue: 1) reboot; 2) go to Device settings - Button brightness and adjust the brightness level to whatever level and then back to the previous level you've set.
I know this might be a bug. Anyone has some idea to fix it? Our hero Epsylon3 has been devoted him to porting ICS and I'm afraid he won't have much time to care CM7.
Anybody know any workarounds to the backlight issue with CM 7.1 stable?
It's getting pretty frustrating that I have to plug in my phone to a charger or USB slot in order to get the screen working again. I have tried previous members post about unlocking the screen when there is a black screen (performing the gesture without seeing what your doing), however this doesn't always work.
Has anyone else had any luck? It seemed as if this issue started to occur when I applied a GPS fix, but not 100% certain that is the root culprit.
This is not a permanent solution, but does help reduce the occurrences of the issue.
-Disable auto rotation
-Disable auto brightness
-Try a different lock screen. Some seem to be more pron-able than others...
I'm still having this issue too. Getting really annoying! The backlight will turn on MAYBE 50-60% of the time the first time I turn it on. The rest of the time, I have to turn the screen off and on again until the backlight comes on.
I was running aokp milestone 6 on my e4gt and a bug i encountered was that the torch flashlight turned on randomly for no reason when the screen turns off. I had the toggle for the flashlight and when the bug came and went the toggle stayed on and could not be changed. Even some reboots wouldn't fix the toggle. Keep in mind the toggle and torch was bugged. Also for some reason the notification light would pulse blue when the phone was off. I don't even know of this is a bug. If any of these have fixes they would be greatly be appreciated. I really like this rom and theseare the only problems i have with this rom besides screen tearing but i fixed that. Also it overheats. Can someone explain the light too.
I'm running the 8/12 build of jmz's primoC CM9. The backlight on my softkeys don't seem to be lighting up properly. When I go into settings and toggle my brightness off auto, the softkeys light up, but then they don't come back on while using the phone. When I toggle to auto, the softkeys turn off. Seems backwards...? I'm kinda stumped. Tried out Lux brightness and it seemed to fix the issue, but if I reboot the phone it gets confused again. Not a big deal during the day, but at night it's annoying to not be able to see these keys.
Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.
