As the graph shows... Not connected to the charger yet it increases 5% in battery life, went from 29 to 34...

Same
Mine does the same actually. Everytime I look at it when its below 50% life it always has a part of the graph as it charged a little bit. seems wierd

The battery usage and percentage in the notification panel is more of a guess of where your battery really is based on usage. A lot of usage will cause it to guess your battery is at a certain level, and then less usage will lead it to believe your battery is at a higher level.
It also has to do with the charge going to the battery, but that's a bit more involved.

This is normal behavior for a battery, i've had this with all my android phones (HTC Magic/Galaxy S/Galaxy Nexus).

I have that too. But I believe Tesla hasn't died and is currently working with Google or Samsung on some sort.

Poorly calibrated battery or a big change in ambient temperatures?
For example here in Finland, it can be like -20'C outside during wintertime and the battery seems to take a hit when using the phone outside and after coming inside to +20'C (or more) it could suddenly (when warming up) load the battery magically

Mine does the same and I love it!

this is normal for this type of battery fuel gauge because it's based soley on voltage. and you pressed the phone hard during that steep slope, then went idle, and voltage tends to rise and bounce back up when in a relaxed state. when this bounce is large enough it moves the SoC as well. it's all normal.

Weird battery activity

So I charge my phone all night, take it off the charger to go to work at 6am by 3pm my battery is at about 8 percent. Here is where it gets funny, if I turn the phone off then back on I have about 59%. How does that happen

Sorcery. That's how.
I'm guessing the reason your battery gets drained so quickly is because of the poor network coverage.
Could you also provide a screenshot of the apps/programs/hardware that have drained your battery? By that I mean the screen you see after hitting battery under settings.
The fact that it goes up so much after a reboot is very weird indeed. It usually happens the other way around with mine, the battery level drops about 15% for me after a reboot, which I also find weird.
I have had the same expierence with my phone as well. Dont understand it either.
I suggest you use a battery calibration app or s-off/root and install Clockwork Mod recovery to clear your battery stats and run a few cycles. Your phone doesn't know where full is and can't detect it as well as we'd like.

I think you need a battery calibration. Before i calibrated mine would drop 10-15% sometimes but now it is good. I would also add expect a small margin of error if you were using your phone heavily and it is warm/hot and you reboot. Some people report, myself included, that you might see a slight spike after your phone cools down.

[Q] Discharged battery on arrival

How many of you did receive a dead battery on arrival? Some people in sweden did and they claim to have terrible batterylife according the themself. This units dosen't seem to survive a day with easy use. Could it be a connection here with a dead/over-discharged battery and the terrible batterylife that some experience?
How many of you did receive a dead battery on arrival and does it perform worse than avarage?

Uhm I got a normal one but a dead battery could be a bad sign considering this kind of battery technology doesn't like being on low % of battery. If your battery had 0 % from the start it could really damage it.
There could be a link between an empty battery and bad battery performance.
(Just my 2 cents)
My phone didn't arrive dead, but they turned it in for me in the shop and it died on me on the way home. Plugged it in to power and it took ages before it displayed a flashing orange light, then another good 15 mins before I got a solid orange light and it was charging to the point where I could turn it on.
That said, here are my stats today.

I would expect to get over 4 hours screen on time, which seems ok to me, considering we should get further improvement with updates.

What caused this? Why is the OS higher than screen?

My OS is eating my battery up. What could cause this?

If you pay attention to your battery life, you'll notice that the OS is usually the second most battery consuming process (well it almost always is for me). That means that if your phone in your pocket for most of the day, then it makes sense for the OS to take up most of the battery life as the screen isn't on much. This was the case for me today where I had less than 1 hour of screen time on my phone so the battery consumption by the OS was higher.
----------------------------------------------------------
I noticed that there is another battery life for the OS, so I guess the Android System is things like the keyboard, nfc, etc. but the above still applies. Check the screen time and you should notice that it's pretty low.

Thank you. I didn't know if it was a software issue because usually, and ordinary day like today, the screen always took the most %

welll, after the lollipop update, my battery went strong lol, in kitkat, normal browsing/youtube at 1/8 brightness will drain the bat like 50% in 2 hours. playing COC drains as much as 1% a minute and the batt percentage jumps, the device will get so hot to a point that it will induce a warning and will close all apps,. it will deplete the batt so fast that it shuts off. showing 1%, powering it on again will show at least 30-40% juice left. in lollipop, since like the batt meter is now calibrated and playing COC will no longer make it hot.
Kitkat last me half a day with casual browse/sms/calls
lollipop lasts me a whole day and i still have a bit juice left
2 hours is a bit fast, was it a full charge, the 8,4" has an 4900mah battery and the charge puts about 1500ma into the battery in one hour, using supplied charger and cable, other brands can cause your tablet to charge much slower.
try the free version of GSam Battery monitor, it`s one of the best to keep an eye on your battery.

Fast charging heats up to 110~F is this normal?

Hi I am wondering if this is normal when we charge with a Fast Charger. I downloaded Gsam app and shows about 110-111F when it's charging, is that a safe level/normal or is that TOO hot and can cause battery damage?
after it goes to 75% or 80% it goes down to 96'F, it only gets hot below 75% for example 5% to 75%

My M9 maxes out battery temp at 45°C (113°F) then charge current is reduced until temp drops.
Generally higher temperatures are detrimental to battery life (above 40°C / 104°F) however all fast charging will cause excess heat and temp to some extent.
If your concerned then use fast charge when necessary and use normal slower battery friendly charge overnight when possible

I have similar concerns and would like to post about them here instead of creating a new thread. I upgraded my Dev Edition M9 to 5.1 earlier this week and I bought a fast charger yesterday. The phone temp increases to ~45 C (113 F) after charging about 20%. How do I fix the heating issue? I never tried a fast charger before the upgrade and don't know if the heating issue was present. Please help me out.
Are you guys on the most recent firmware? My phone does not heat up at all on fast charging.
I have the latest FW and I'm not experiencing overheating with fast charge either
I've noticed my phone getting so hot sometimes when fast charging that the charging led starts flashing red.
I actually have a blister from picking it up...which HTC assures me is rare, but within acceptable limits. So, I guess it's normal
