yes, they are different...
only screen protectors would be the same
cases are different since the verizon version is thicker due to its LTE chip

Batterires too
Not also the cases, but the batteries are different as well. I know a couple people who bought extended batteries for their GSM version that were made for LTE. They are not compatible.

Cases fit both.

Wrong. Well, half. Some cases fit both, but most higher end ones don't.

Anyone else still waiting for a Verizon Specific Bestskinsever skin?

Bestskinsever makes some great stuff but their galaxy nexus skin for the verizon version is non existent.
The gsm version initially was advertised on their site as works with the CDMA version. this is not the case. there's big gaps since the thickness of the phones are different.
They said they may not make a verizon version but also removed all mentions of this on their product page that it fits perfectly on the GSM but not on the CDMA.

[Q] Global phone?

I am thinking about getting a nexus and would like a gsm phone that would work with my pre-paid t-moble and att sim. Occasionaly I do have to go to Europe and would prefere a phone that would be compatible with their radio bands as well. I found one on Amazon "Samsung Galaxy Nexus SA-I9250 Unlocked Phone--International Version" do you think this would trully be international or ?
Yes. That is GSM. GSM is global. Buy that model.
ANY i9250 is "global" because it is unlocked GSM. Just don't buy the Verizon (i515) model.
The gsm nexus truly is as global as can be. It works on all 3g networks including tmo usa and att. Its the ultimate gsm compatible phone.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus SA-I9250 I understand this phone has no SD slot. Is it actualy 16gb or 32gb? and it has no 4g radio, just 3g radios? Will most of the i515 accessories work with it?

No Galaxy Nexus have SDcard slots. i9250 is 16gb. You'll have a little over 13gb available out of the box (rest is OS, etc.).

There is no 4G LTE radio. There are EDGE/UMTS/HSPA+ radios. HSPA+ is sometimes called "4G" depending on the carrier. But it only has an HSPA+ 21mbps radio. So no matter what they call it, that's the fastest it'll go.

Screen protectors are interchangeable. Most cases fit fine too (be sure to check reviews, though). Extended batteries and covers are not interchangeable. Of course chargers are, as micro USB is a standard.

Difference between CDMA and GSM?

When I ordered my Galaxy Nexys, I was told I would get the GSM version. I heard the CDMA version was only for Americans and under Verizon.
What differes the two other than the names and networks? Do they differ much in hardware?
IIRC, the CDMA version also supports 4G LTE technology?

From what I understand the GSM version is for international use (If you're in the USA) and AT&T, and the CDMA version is Verizon 4G LTE only.
^What he said. Hardware wise, the CDMA variant is a tad bit thicker on account of the 4G LTE. Not really noticeable though. Either one is good in my book.

Correct. GSM version is thinner and gets superb idle battery usage.
I don't have a GSM...but I don't understand that.
My CDMA version gets fantastic battery.
If you're topping 23 hours off charger with 3 hours 16 minutes screen time...
Cool. But that isn't "bad" to me...by any means.
GSM, as explained...is used by practically every cell phone company.
The CDMA version runs "LTE" 4G. GSM is "HSPA+"
LTE is supposedly faster...by a little bit.
Really, the choice is all about convenience for you.
LTE is faster by quite a margin, if you aren't in a signal poor area. LTE will actually scale down to 3G speeds in fringe areas.
Also, if your phone is set to CDMA onlly, the battery difference from GSM isn't that much.

GSM and CDMA version, whats the different?

Well... Its obious firmware has differents and they work with different technology , but what is the phisical different?
Why cant a CDMA version case fit to the GSM?

CDMA have dual radios with LTE. CDMA models are a bit thicker then the GSM counterparts. I'm not 100% sure but it may be due to the multiple radios
CDMA is a touch thicker.
Simply look at photos of the phones with the battery doors removed and you'll see why the housings aren't interchangeable. They're laid out differently inside. Even the batteries are different shapes and capacities (1850mAh / 1750mAh).

Is Korean s3 and US s3 the same, size wise?

I tried looking online but can't find anything.
Are the Korean (lte) s3's similar to the US s3's, dimension wise?
There are some good cases I found on Amazon that I would have my brother ship to me here in Korea. The s3 cases here are all ugly and quite expensive.
But I'm worried that they won't fit the Korean s3.
Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Samsung finally got smart and standardized their phones across all different carriers, you should be fine. Separately, I am not certain what you are gauging your taste in cases on... as most, if not all, cases available for the S3 are as good, if not better looking than any other phone out there. I don't foresee the iPhone or any other phone having a better selection of good looking cases.
from what I've heard the Korean S3 is the ONLY variant of the S3 that is thicker (i forget exactly why) but if i recall it was because of a additional radio to handle the lte over there.

Korea has 2 variants
3G and LTE
The LTE variants are a little bit thicker
3G variants are exactly the same as international/us variants.
The differences is about .02-.4mm thicker, all international version or us version will fit in the korean LTE case, and majority of the cases made for the international or US S3 will work for the korean LTE, with the exception of most hard plastic.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III#Model_variants
International: 136.6×70.7×8.6 mm
Korean: 136.6×70.6×9.0 mm
The Korean one is slightly thicker (and way awesome-er). Most cases should fit, especially the soft ones. I wouldn't count on the hard plastic clip one ones or the Otterbox (because it claims to be precision manufactured with zero tolerance). But you never know.
