Look for a review on youtube for this SP. Even the video shows orange peel effect. Of course YMMV since even the XO Skin, which promises no orange peel effect, has users that experienced it.

XO Skins. Mine doesn't have any orange peel. You will get a slight rubbery feel but that goes away after a few days. Someone on here said they got orange peel because they missed some spray and left bubbles, rather than just letting them dry out, the forced them out and caused the orange peel in those spots.
XO Skins video shows theirs doesnt have orange peel and shows a different skin after it that has orange peel BAD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoMRO4OiXw4

But xo skins does not cover whole screen. Bottom 1-2 mm exposed. Unless they changed it.

Mine is maybe .5mm short, but a few people posted pics and it goes edge to edge. They probably got sent or accidentally ordered case fit.
This thread shows some pics and it goes edge to edge. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442878

Maybe it was just me but I got a replacement and the replacement was still short at the bottom.

Agreed! I was very surprised by this one. I decided to give it a try since it was such a great price. After application i had some bubbles, but the next day it was completely clear. Fit's perfectly with no edge-bubbling. I ordered another from the same seller for my girlfriend's evo.

I bought one on indian ebay , Called GAdget shieldz must say im very very impressed its just like XO and others perfect fit , No orange peel i screwd up the instal a little bit its all good and it hasnt been 24 hours yet so 2 or 3 more days it might even look better .
it was only 299 rs , which like just under 6 dollars full body guard front back and sides.
for cheaper amount only difference is u dont get a squeege and micro fibre cloth but that price when the screen guard quality is same i dont think it really matters

Yes its a perfect fit.

I have a Zagg and the orange peel doesn't seem to be as bad as the one on my SGS last year. I also purchased a Clear-Coat but I didn't like the cutouts; worse than the Zagg IMO and similar orange peel. I did buy a Ghost Armor and when I get tired of the Zagg I will install it. I like the cutouts on the Ghost Armor and SGP Flex the best. The Zagg looks sloppy in that area....just like it did on my SGS. Like they were too cheap to put in a little more effort to design it better around the speaker and front camera.

Is it orange peel?

Best ultra smooth screen protector

Yeah yeah I know there's a lot of topics about screen protectors of the one I'm serious about one that is very slick this very tough to the way I can use a stylus, Yes I'm probably still one you remaining few people who play drawsomething. The one I'm currently using a cut down from a wrapsol that I cut down and made to fit my phone. The one I currently have shows all lot of scratches on scrapes and marks. I want one that will not show any blemishes after taking a beating.

Surprisingly I have some cheap ones like $2 for 5 and it's really good quality. Compared it with a phone without a screen protector and couldn't tell the difference. got it off Amazon, but there are so many different Sellers and different kinds, I'm not sure you'll get the same one. Well ultimately, some cheap protector are just as good as some well known ones.

I'll vouch for Realook also. I used it for my Vibrant and now I'm using it for my S2.
The only downside to this screen protector is it will bubble (without modification) if you're using the D30 case due to the super tight fitment. There's some tricks you can do to avoid bubbling. Just do a search.
Amazon is selling a pair of the screen protectors for a very low price of $12!

Gadget Guard
http://www.gadgetguard.com/
I have this on my, phone, laptop, gps, my kids iPods. I put this on 30 Panasonic toughbooks at work and also about 10 different tablets. I won't buy another product ever again.
Pros: It heals itself if you use a stylus and it leaves makes they will go away, if i get a small scratch in an hour it will be gone. This doesn't include major damage. 100% life time guarantee, whatever the reason, if your gadget guard fails to live up to their high standards they will replace it, free, for the life of your device.
Cons: Dry install was a little tough, Wet install was easier but it is a little scary for electronic devices, If you wet install it will take a few days for all the little bubbles to disappear it goes faster if you let it sit in the sun.

Smooth, transparent GS3 screen protector

What screen protectors for the SGS3 are perfectly smooth and transparentr? The screen protector I have on my current phone (BB) is slightly "frosted" or textured which messes with the pixels on the screen. It does make it easier to swipe and does not attract dust or fingerprints, but I would rather have a screen protector that is perfectly clear for the SGS3. What are some good ones?
just look for clear/crystal vs. matte (the "frosted" you have)

Go with SGP Ultra Crystal Screen protectors if you are looking for something that looks and feels like glass. No rubber feeling to it like some skins, and as the product name states, they are crystal clear. I have used Zagg, BodyGaurdz, Skinomi, etc, but I always go back to SGP Ultra series protectors because of how they feel, and protect the screen. Not to mention, it is a dry install, no water or spray to mess with and no bubbles.
I just ordered mine from Amazon yesterday for $13 + free shipping. Don't have my SGIII yet, but I have been used SGP covers on my SG, and SGII. Excellent protectors.
Thanks for this share. I've tried all you mentioned. Waiting for my new SGS3 also!

+1 for the SGP Ultra Crystal, EXCEPT they've been discontinued - I've got one on mine and have the problem they've noted (there's another thread for this) - the way the screen curves, the edges don't seal. Spigen is replacing them with the Nano, to be out soon, I think. I'll be ok leaving it on until then, but you might want to hold off.
Just ordered a SGP Ultaclear Nano screen protector off of Amazon.

Just to clarify... Did you buy the ZAGG InvisibleSHIELD or the ZAGG InvisibleSHIELD HD?
What did you not like about it?

Best screen protector?

I've been reading through trying to find reviews, but I only really found one: the review about the Zagg HD protectors and their inferior quality to the original. What cases are most of you using? I saw a few names mentioned here and there in comments, but I hope to consolidate that information here by having you mention what quality you like best with that brand. PS I ordered an Otterbox which comes with a screen protector--How is their protector (not gotten it yet)?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Hands down. Clear protector
Lol otterbox defender screen protector are a joke. Every built in screen protectors are a joke for that matter.. IMO. They take away so much screen quality it's not even funny. Or at least the ones i have experienced. my first case was ob defender, yanked the screen protector out, put on a regular screen protector. Best thing I could of done.

So what brand of screen protector should I buy? Should I just take a gamble and buy the Lloyd protector from Android Central? If so, HD or anti glare?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
I wound up buying the protectors from the T-Mobile store. I hated paying like 14$ for 2 protectors when i couldve gotten them for less but they actually worked out great with the Seidio Surface Case i'm using. The protector doesnt go fully edge to edge on the front, so it doesnt interfere with the seidio case when sliding in the top and bottom halves.
My girlfriend has a Zagg on her SII and although she loves it to death, I'm really not a fan. Opposites attract right?:victory:

It's all personal preference, just like what kind of case you want to use.
Not sure how the good brand matte screen protectors are like, but the cheap ones i recieved were horrible. The quality was great but the screen resolution sucked bad. Gave it a washed out pixilated look to the screen. Took it off with in few minutes. I just ordered the tech armor HD clear see how that one is like. Got it in amazon prime for 7 bucks for pack of 3. Should recieve it friday

So you did choose matte. I once had it and it was driving me crazy. Just feels not right when you touch it. I like glossy ones.
I got the lloyd matte ones and i couldn't take it anymore after two days. It was fingerprint proof and that was great but the pixilation and loss of screen quality was a real dealbreaker. It was like looking at a old tube television really up close. Too bad. I really like how the touch was compared to the hd gloss ones.

I use to use a Zagg shield on all my phones but on the S3 it seems its not as resilient as past phones cause im noticing like "dent" marks in it now. SO not sure if they changed something but they arent as good anymore...go figure

The nano clear does not cover 100%. The only screen protector that cover full screen are wet applications or the dry application sgp curved crystal.
Sent from my Galaxy S3 using neighbors wifi
Some of the matte or anti-fingerprint screen protectors make the screen dull or grainy, some don't. I have typically just purchased Spigen crystal Clear but sometimes I just get the ones at the Verizon store too if I am out and need one on a hurry. I tend to avoid the Zagg film ones due to the orange peel affect. Some of the tempered glass type like Spigen's Glas.t (which they are not offering on the GS3) are beneficial as well.
One thing to keep in mind is not all screen protectors work with all cases. Case in point is the Spigen ones with the curved edges, I found they tend to lift and were useless.
I use iSmooth and my friends can't even tell its there. Its a dry application but doesn't cover the whole phone which I'm fine with.

No scratches, also, this is the first time I've used a screen protector on any of the phones I've used. I hate having one but I have to admit, I'm impressed with this one. IMO, the picture doesn't do any justice, thats not a lift, its the shadow on the edges. It's only $10 on amazon
Here's a tip when installing, have a scotch tape near by to remove any lints. It works better than what comes with the product.

I bought an awesome pack of three on Amazon when I first got my GNex, let me see if I can find them in my purchase history.
They're anti-glare, and you can't see your fingerprints because they have a matte finish.

They're way more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth (Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic , would be a good choice)
Also for more protection than just a piece of plastic, i use the fantom glass screen protector which is also pretty nice.

+1 for this. I have used several other screen protectors (ZAGG, Spigen, Clarivue and a couple of others), and this one, while not the easiest to get on, works great. Great feel and I like the way the screen looks when it is on. Because it is a matte protector, it is not invisible, but no real orange peel and it is not sticky at all - great finger feel on the screen! And cheap as well!
I hated any screen protector that I put on my Galaxy Nexus, after buying it I put on an Xtremeguard wet apply full body, after 4 months, I took it of.
Screen protectors suck and reduce the usability on the phones at times, some of them are pretty sticky or not as slippery and smooth as the glass.
PIE from AOSPA has never been so easily, I still use a case, but I bought my phone to actually use it, and I've been affecting my usability by babying it. It'll be so worth it unless you're really that paranoid about a scratch here and there.
No screen protector doesn't work for me. I work in a machine shop and metal chips find their way in my pockets daily. I prefer the non anti-glare 3 pack from Walmart or target. I forget the brand but they're cheap enough and don't interfere with usability.
