Wtf restart phone and battery drops 50%!
I rebooted my phone and when it turned on my battery went to ****. anyone else with this problem?

That happens to me if my phone is around 50% and I restart it the battery % drop to like 25%

Mine too. Had Sprint send another phone, so I hope this battery life is better.
this is happening to me as well
happens to a lot of Android phones. I had 70% and flashed starburst 1.4 then started back up with 25%. WTF! ha.
Same here. Then once restarted and idle for a while, it increased by 5% or so. I'm rooted on with Midnight ROM and Zedomax overclock kernel
It's an error in the Android OS. The battery isn't losing 50% battery, it's only displaying that it is. You'll stick @ 1% life for awhile. lol
yah i got the same thing with the battery life.. it went from 70 to like 17.. then it went to 18.. thn 21.. and sat there for like 5 hours .. then wnt 20
last night i was out of town and phone was still 20% after full day. got los on the way home. did a quick reboot and got service back. upon rebooting the battery dropped to 3% and phone died in few minutes later... (>_<) WTF

How much battery do you lose over night?

Stock Nexus 4.0.2, everything off,...data, wifi, sync,...between 11:30 last night and 7am this morning went from topped off 100% to 92%. Seems like a lot to me for having everything off. Whats anyone else experience?
In the past, I have aimed for 1% per hour idle. Currently, w/ everything on, connected to wifi, and on cm9/Franco, I get 2% per hour.
Try airplane mode to get it lower.

Running axi0m 2.1 rom Fromm rootzwiki and I lose 3% in 9 hours of sleep.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus Revolution
With wifi, sync, and everything on, I go from 100% to about 92% in about 8 hours overnight. Not bad if you ask me.

Stock here too. I charge after I get up, so I leave my phone idle while I sleep. For the first week I turned off wifi before going to bed. I would lose around 12-14% each night. Last night I kept wifi connected and only lost 5%. Seems wifi uses much less energy than the 4g radio.
Going to keep wifi on this week and keep an eye on results.

4.0.2 stock with everything good on (wifi, syncs, gps, etc). i went from 11% to 8% in a 11 hour sleep (don't judge me!).
About 3% in 8 hours. GSM 4.0.1 stock, WiFi on overnight.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
screen off airplane mode = 5%
screen off 'mobile data disabled' = 8 - 10%
screen off (4g on) = 40%
i don't do wifi.
Running Revolution HD with Wifi connected I lose ~1% over a 7 hour night. That's with stock kernel with a profile set to the lowest clock with screen off. Syncing was enabled.
I charge when I'm sleeping. Isn't that normal.

that's because you're using Juice Defender. uninstall it and just disable 'mobile data' when you go to bed.
Picked up the GNex on the 23'd and the OEM extended battery on the 26th. I charged up the phone with the extended battery then ran it for a bit over 24 hours and had 47% remaining after 24 hours.
I unplugged from the charger at about 11PM and the next morning, after about 8.5 hours, the battery was at 87% -- when I plugged it back in a bit after 11PM I was at 47%. I did not use the phone a great deal that day but I did use it. I had LTE, WiFi and GPS on and was within WiFi range about 80% of the time.
I'll see over the next couple weeks when I go back to work how it fares...

I use juice defender as well and I lose about 8-9% over 8 hours of sleep running stock 4.02 rom. And I dont run a night mode when Im doing my tests so wifi enables every 30 min to sync.
Do you customize your JD settings because 61% is ridiculous, I wouldnt be surprised if it was some other rogue app, you can use watchdog to monitor that.
Running Gummynex 0.3.0 with Imoseyon's lean experimental kernel v3 last night I lost 2% over 6 hours w/ JD.
Running AOKP with the stock kernel and I lose 4-5% overnight per 7-8 hour sleep.
Not bad at all.
I use to lose 2% over 8hrs of sleep. wifi/data everything on as normal. Was on stock 4.0.1 kk1 unrooted. I'll test tonight with stock 4.0.2 rooted kk7

That's about what I lose when I've checked after a nap.

Rezound battery doing worse than stock

Got my rezound battery in a couple days ago and so far its not so good. Gave it a full charge out of the box and then bump charged it. Wiped battery stats and then ran it hard to drain it dead till the phone shut off. Recharged and bumped it again. It will hold at 100% for a good while during use but then drops drastically. Sitting doing nothing it dropped to 60% in about 2 hours. Then listening to music it went into around 20% in 45 minutes. Charged it overnight and today sitting doing nothing it was down to 30% in about 4 hours. Put it back on the charger now its only charging to 88% and stops. Am I doing something wrong here or is my battery a dud.
Update
after the charge to 88% I have used the crap out of my phone tonight and more over the last 4 hours. Surfing on WiFi, music, and running repeated benchmarks. The battery had sit for several hours off charge and dropped from 88 to 52% while sitting unused. Dropped from 52 to 35% over a few hours of music and 4g web browsing while driving my wife around shopping. After I got home and started using it stayed at 35% for over 2 hours of use and has dropped down from 35 to 28% in the last hour or so of continuous use. Seems like its holding a good charge, but just not reporting battery stats correctly.

I have had the Rezound battery for several months and at first it was reporting the battery accurately, a longer usage time, and no complaints. I would go down to about 5% and then I would charge it.
The last few months have been erratic. The battery could show anywhere from 15% to 25% then just shut off completely. This has become very frustrating and unreliable once I get under 30. I downloaded a battery calibration app that has proven to be worthless.
I was on vacation last week and found out something interesting. If I charge the battery to 100% then take it off for about 5 minutes and reboot the phone it will show that it is charged to somewhere between 79% and 84%. I can let it charge again to 100% and get a full charge that time. I tried several times doing battery calibration and it seems to make no difference. I think the default stats file is limiting the charge to the stock battery capacity somehow. I know the stats file gets written on boot and I found a post on here somewhere about HTC releasing an update for their extended battery after its release due to it not charging completely. I wonder if the rezound battery and all other extended batteries that aren't the capacity of the two official ones could perform better if they had modified stats files. Without the reboot and additional charge I am averaging 16 hours roughly per charge. With the additional charge I have gotten over 30 hours on one charge and get at least 23 hours. Last full charge was 27 hours 38 min and still had 16% charge.

Finally broke down and got one yesterday from Big Red. So far, on initial charge (off wall charger), I'm @ 38%, 15 hrs, moderate use. For me, it's an improvement over the stock battery. FWIW, once I popped in the rezound battery, I wiped battery stats in CMW....
Sent from my HTC T-Bolt using Tapatalk 2
My rezound battery was doing great until the first weekend when I had to switch it with the stock thunderbolt one on the fly. Since then they seem to perform, at best, the same - but usually it seems like the rezound one lasts even shorter than the original.

[Q] Note 3 battery life?

Hello everyone I just got the note 3 this past week, not till yesterday I started to mess around with the phone and by 3pm I was at 10% battery life time I got home it was dead, I use to have s2 rooted and I also have s4 and battery life is better than wat I have with the note 3, any info I do aappreciate, this morning I lost 12% of battery in 30min of browsing, then lost 3% on 8min on the phone with cust support
Not all phones and components are made equal. Maybe you have a bad battery. Too many apps running? Only had mine since the tenth and have had great battery life. Better than my note 2.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Yeah probably im taking it in for new one, I stop all apps and eveything is turned off on the phone, I did a reboot and from 32% dropped to 21% 20min ago now sitting at 14%

Battery Health

So not really happy with the battery life so far as to what the app phone info is reporting the battery health to be. I'm at 40% with a new phone?? My 2 yo note 8 was at 97%. I tryed other apps with similar results. I also have not let my battery get below 20% low yet but I am gonna drain it fully tonight and see if that helps or maybe I need to do a factory reset? Can anyone report back that their battery health is better or the same? Thanks!
I'm also at 40. I don't trust the app.
/CK
Lol, I was planning on doing this. Maybe I wont so I'm not disappointed...
First day I got 3 hours of screen time on a full charge. Today is day two and I'm on 3 hours 40 mins with 66% left. I think you have to give it like 2 weeks to settle in and let things get situated.
First night with the Note 10+. Charged to full last night and removed it from charger before I slept. Used it the whole morning and got this...(see image)
14h 18m in battery
6h 4m screen time 27%
Android system 7%
Device idle 6%
Android os 5%
Aod 3%
Etc
Phone was almost on the whole morning. Was texting mostly, email, playing games...watching movies
Still 31 percent
Image doesn't load in the forum for me...just try the link
