Accidentally Deleted Something, Phone Does Not Work - Rooted, Help - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Phone Model = Galaxy S2 T989 (Tmobile model)
I rooted my phone yesterday using galaxys2root.com's method. The phone was properly rooted.
I then used Titanium Backup and deleted some "stock" bloatware. I deleted something and after rebooting my phone, my phone stays at a bright "SAMSUNG" screen. I DID NOT MAKE A BACKUP. (Lesson learned)
I held down the volume buttons and power button and factory reset my phone, then rebooted the phone. The phone is no longer stuck at the bright SAMSUNG screen and seems like it is factory reset.
When I choose to "Skip" the intial google account setup, I get an error stating "Setup Wizard" failed to operate and has to foreclose. When I goto lock my screen, I get the original lock screen. I swipe it away, but, I get nothing on the screen. It is just a blank, black screen.
Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: I wasn't able to connect the USB to my computer, but, after I did the factory reset, I was finally able to.

Sure fire bet would be to Odin a stock rom and start over from scratch.

How would I "Odin a stock rom" to my phone? And, where can I find a stock rom? I am still pretty new to all of this.

Nevermind, I flashed my phone with a new rom and it works now..

Noobs flashing all "Willy Nilly"...lol.

Lock screen gone

Usually after pressing the power button the pink lock screen from tmobile would show up. But today after pressing the button to unlock the phone theres no lock screen, it just goes straight to the homescreeen. I tried putting a password and it still doesnt bring up the lock screen. Has this happened to anyone else?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
This is still an issue after a restart?
that would have been normal on CM7 if you disabled lock screen
but on TW... it's rather unusual, specially when we still have no root
can you try installing super user meanwhile you are at it?

Also, theres another problem. When I hold the power button the phone shuts off automatically instead of the menu asking you want to turn of the phone.

This definitely sounds like a faulty phone, I would return it. These options are normally present in a CM7 build like allgamer said.
I don't think that it is a faulty phone. Watch the review by Mobile Syrup and the lock screen on their phone is gone to.
mine is doing the same no lock screen and phone shuts off as soon as I hold the power button
Edit: just tried setting a lock screen with pin and nothing still hmmm

If and when I get this phone you'll have about 9 lockscreens to choose from and a variety of power options (as well as a ton of other mods and hacks).
Just click on a few of the links in my sig.

how do you do a factory reset?
What will a factory reset erase? Will i have to root again?
This is my problem, I have been using my sim card for like 6 years now and today it just stopped working in my phone..
So I took it out and put it back in , still doesnt work, and right after that happend I realized that my lock screen had ceased functioning which i read is a known issue.
So i lost all my contacts, i will go have to get a new sim tomorrow, still don't know if i should trade the phone is for a new one.
this problem had something to do with the *#0*# command, and and testing the camera while in that menu. i just reflashed the deodexed rom and it was fine.
I had this problem too. I had to do a factory reset to fix the problem.
Here's another thread discussing a potential cause of the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18702063&postcount=12
There are programs out there to use until then. Right now I'm using Quick Boot and it seems to do the trick just fine.

I'm rooted and used Titanium Backup, and a few other "safe" apps. Then suddenly my screen lock dissapeared. Battery pulls would not restore it and neither would any settings fiddling. When I held the power button down two seconds, it would shut the phone off instead of the usual popup that gives you the option to power down.
The only way I was able to restore it was reset the phone to factory settings. Then I restored via a CW backup (wow CW is awesome)
Anyway is this a common thing? I can't imagine this happening to an iPhone. What could cause this--do I have to erase my phone next time this happens? What a PITA!!!
Did you try the numeric combo which gets you into the phone diagnostics? If so we discovered that the megacam test hoses the lockscreen for some reason.

Can't Boot into Recovery

T-Mobile phone 3 days old.
In the process of rooting my phone everything was going well. Phone went into recovery fine. I tried to do it again and just as recovery starts the Stock bootup takes over. If I continue to hold the volume and power buttons it just keeps vibrating over and over. When I let go the phone boots up normal.
I tried a factory reset to no avail.
The only thing I did was I installed CWM a second time. I thought I deleted them, but it still did this, so then I did the factory reset, wiping everything.
This is realy frustrating because I came from a Nexus One and will NOT own a phone with all of the garbage bloatware and T-Mobile restrictions.
Oh. One more thing when I go into Odin mode, it says I have 4 successful loads of clockworkmod. Even after the reset.

Sorry was trying to help. You need to get into download mode and use odin to flash stock recovery! Lots of forums about how to do that.
To put your Tmobile Galaxy s2 phone in recovery mode.
1 ) Turn your phone off. Power it off
2 ) At the same time, press and hold volume up and down and power at the same time. Your phone will come on.
3 ) Keep holding even after the vibration.
4 ) When you see the first SAMSUNG white text, let go of the buttons.

Phone goes into random boot loops and vibrates? Any help

Okay so ive been running jmt v8 for about a week on my phone and everything was running great. Then yesterday morning my phone became very slow and unusable. Then i started getting the error message acore system has stopped working and the phone would randomly restart and then it would start vibrating then stop then vibrate again and so on. So i insalled a new rom and i stopped getting the core system has stopped error but i am still getting the random reboots. And the screen also wakes up by itself. Please any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just had this fixed. There's something wrong with the power sensor, especially if it tries to boot the second you put the battery in without touching the power button.
Unfortunately you've been rooted now and because of the issues, you can't flash stock and reset the root count. So you can't sent to your carrier.
Fortunately, http://www.mobiletechvideos.com fixes EXACTLY this for $35 minus shipping it to them. I got my phone back today and it's just the way it was ROM wise and all my files are there and the issue is fixed.
This is a pretty common T989 issue.

For anyone with key issues and need to get into recovery or download mode there are adb commands that do this. We get too comfortable with apps and forget about the manual way of achieving a lot of the same tasks that apps provide for us.
From a command prompt:
adb reboot recovery
adb reboot download

hey guys. after the ics update my phone started to lock up and its not rooted. now all of a sudden when i put the battery in it it vibrates once then starts to load and gets about half way and stops. then it turns off and just vibrates a few seconds and vibrates but the screen never shows anything. tryed using just a usb with the battery out and it skips the load screen and automatically starts vibrate looping. the power button seems stuck but i dont think i can fix it any ideas?
Hey everyone! I have a similar (but not quite the same) problem. Every now and then my phone "tells" me to restart it for maximum performance. Every time I restart or just turn on my phone it goes through the boot cycle, including a message that says "android is upgrading" (I got the ICS upgrade from Kies prior to rooting my phone). Then, all of a sudden, the phone doesn't work, and it starts the boot cycle all over again. This happens several times in a row, which for me is a safety issue because I'm not able to call Big Jon (my husband) to get me from the train late at night. Any fixes for that? Thanks.

Damn! Just found this thread...sounds like what my phone started doing today!!
I was clicking around on gmail, then back to home screen, the camera FLASHED all by itself without me doing anything, then started the boot loop thing. Clicking the power button only made it worse. Finally was able to get into recovery via TWRP...but that was weird too. I did a factory reset/wipe and was going to reinstall The Sith ROM that I was running, but it just rebooted and loaded up The Sith anyway and it should have been cleared. I then tried to restore back to Beastmade ROM, restore was very quick and said successful but it booted back to Sith.
Now the power button is hyper sensitive! All I have to do is brush the power button and it will light up the screen. Touch it too long and it will bring up the boot menu. I'm afraid to actually CLICK the button as it might go haywire again.
WTF is going on!? This all seems really odd that it's going down with some of these new ROMs being released. I wasn't even touching the power button when all this started. The weird clicks and flashes didn't sound good when it was all going on.
Has anyone tried flashing back to and OLD rom to see if it will fix it?
change settings to interactive/deadline

Possibly Bricked??

I was messing around in Rom Toolbox Pro in the "Boot Animations" section and decided to change my boot animation.
However, after installing the boot animation and rebooting the device, it's just a plain black screen.
The black screen doesn't allow me to access anything on the device. The screen just remains black. I can tell the Android has booted because I am still getting notifications and all of the LED's still light up.
At this point, pushing any hardware key makes the phone act like it's at the lock screen but still stuck on the black screen.
I can still access CWM and I tried doing a restore of a previous backup but no luck.
Help?

my nexus gets stuck at x loading screen!

I need some help with this issue. My tablet is stock out of the box. I have been using it since last Friday. But today I turned it off then after an hour later I turned it back on, it gets stuck at x logo. I really dont know what issue is called? I have tried to restart the tablet several times by holding the powerbutton, but it is still stuck at X logo, and I have tried to use recovery mode in bootloading, but I get no command message everytime.
If you don't have a lot on your nexus and don't mind wiping then just hold power and vol up, which will data wipe your nexus. I know when I first started my nexus it would go to the welcome screen and then bootloop if I didn't click the next button fast enough. But you're saying you've been using it so dunno.
or you could fastboot then flash twrp and try to clear cache/dalvik and see if that helps

First hold power+volume down to go to boot loader, then select recovery, then in recovery do power+volume up. I think that's the proper order.

Just as a side-note, I've had 2 Nexuses 7 (the older versions) and BOTH of them did this to me when updating to a higher version of Android. I swore like a madman as I had to hard-reset the device thus losing nearly all my data. If anyone reports that this happens with the new Nexus, it might be the deciding factor for me to not buy it... unfortunately...

I'm having the same issue since last Saturday when I picked it up. Still running stock and it just would not boot up and it seemed no one else was facing any problems. So I did fastboot unlock, it reset the device and cleared all data. Since then, I've been running stock, and I'm still facing the issue. I'm not sure if it's actually an issue with stock or not.

Just happened to me...
I just had my SECOND one do this to me this morning. I bought the 2nd Gen Nexus 7 last week and it did this within an hour of using it (after an update). I took it back and got another one. This morning the second one did this after a simple reboot. I never had this trouble with my 1st Gen Nexus 7. I'm about to start trying the tips listed in this thread before I return yet another one. I'm wondering if this is the first reboot since the 4.3 update... maybe that is the issue.
Try Fully Charging?
Something similar happened to me on the first one I got, not sure if it will happened to the exchanged one since I only had it for a few days.
It happened after I shut it down one night, battery was about 80% or so. Next morning, I started it up and it actually loaded up fine but after a minute, it just rebooted, stuck at the X, then rebooted to the Google logo, over and over again. Did a factory reset and cleared the cache and still would get into the boot loop after 1 minute of successful boot up. Battery was about halfway when I decided to just charge it fully.
After the battery was fully charged, everything worked fine again. I suspect that the battery was run down next to nothing, but indicated that it was halfway. To me, that indicates a hardware issue so I exchanged it. I am wondering if they are using cheap batteries to keep the cost low. Not sure anyone else has seen this happened to them.
Anyway, if you watch the X, the colors move around, then suddenly stop after a while, it reboots again.
Same thing happened to me this moring around 3 a.m, shutdown and restarted and it was still stuck on the x screen. Tried wiping the cache from recovery and nothing. Had to do a factory reset in order to get passed boot screen. Tablet is working normally now.
Getting stuck on boot screen occasionally occur on 4.3. It seems like an OS issue not the hardware issue. I have seen it once or twice on my stock non-rooted Nexus 4 running 4.3. Never happened on 4.1~4.2.
On the other hand, if you have rooted your 4.3 device, the chance of ****up at boot rises dramatically. The toolkit is, while an admirable work, not perfect and you have no one but to blame yourself.
