I Just received the leather flip case from Ebay. It's really cheap i got mine for 1 pound. For 1 pound it looks really premium.
Inside has a soft touch and feeling, so your screen is safe. It fits really nice and won't come off easy. i can access all the buttons with ease no problem there. The flip snaps with a magnet so loving that one. The only bad thing for now is that it makes the phone look really long .

Any question, just ask
Have you tried the extended battery?

It won't fit. The case grabs the phone from top and left and right on the bottom. The extra big battery wouldn't make it fit . The size is perfect fit for the stock size.
£1? :O
That's crazy. I've never trusted these cheap "leather" cases (bad experience with my Desire HD) but if you're saying this is good then I may be tempted to invest
Can you confirm that you can remove the phone from the casing that holds the phone (attached to leather-y material) with ease?
Thanks
I have one of these but in black, I also have two plastic cases. The only problem is that I never use them. I've became so accustomed to the ultra-thin design of the sgs2 that when I put a case onto it it feels like I'm holding a brick. But, I've gotta say, it is very nice. Also another problem is that if you keep putting the case on and removing it it can damage the side buttons, one of my volume buttons is the slightest bit weaker now.

inside the leather case there is a hard case that's snaps the phone. it's really easy to put in in and also to take out. You have to put some little pressure from the top and it pops out.
Like I said it has a great quality for 1£ it's not premium leather but it works well.

I agree on the bulk thing. It makes the phone little bigger but it still looks great.
What do you mean with the volume buttons? The buttons don't touch the case at all. there is a small gap between the case and the volume button.
if i'd known about this case i would have tried it first over the samsung official leather case. the official one clamps so tight that after a few removal cycles the bottom section of my phone creaks
which is unfortunate because it fits so well. (another downside, however, was the hole for the headphone jack was very small, so large fat jacks wouldn't fit...)

I mean when removing the case, it's quite tight isn't it? So when you take it off the opposing side (opposing to the side that you're removing) puts a lot of pressure on the other side. so that when you move the case down so that the plastic interacts with the buttons (power or volume) it puts a lot of pressure on them. sorry if that made no sense I couldn't really think of a way to explain it.
Can anyone suggest an armband holster for the gym? The pocket is less than ideal.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
I posted the link to the grey / blue Belkin one towards the end of this thread, and really like it!

If your at the gym just get the Samsung HS3000, bluetooth stereo adapter..works really well sound quality is good too! Just leave your phone in a gym bag so you don't have to worry about your phone falling or getting crushed..
I used this for my Galaxy S1:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...=1343186933&sr=8-5&keywords=Galaxy+S3+armband
I hated it! You can't press the buttons very well. The plastic bubbles up, making swiping hard. The cut-outs don't work well.
I avoided the Belkin because it looks like more of the same -- hard to use. And $20 too.
I bought these two from eBay (pictures attached):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/33076460537...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_6088wt_1163
http://www.ebay.com/itm/26107246592...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_500wt_1413
The 1st one is the one I truly wanted. I wanted something that will hold the device securely but will let me use all the features and buttons.
I'll let you know how secure it is when I get it. The picture looks loose, but I figure then I can use it with my Diztronic case and it should fit snug (Bonus!).
I got the 2nd one because it looked nice for running when it's sprinkling. Water + device = bad.

ATT stores carry this http://www.alternativewireless.com/nxe-activesleeves-phone-cases-large.html
Comes as a pack of 2 for 30 bucks, the XL size fits the GS3 pretty good. I have a 17" bicep and it isn't as snug as I would like, but when I am in the gym they are a little over 18" so it fits great. And when I run my arms are usually up and flexing often so it stays snug then too. Just sitting at my desk it doesn't work as good lol.
Its neprene or something and super stretchy so you could probably fit the phone into a smaller size.

I got this one in the mail.
Unfortunately the phone fits very tightly. The case keeps mashing the buttons when it's in the case.
My friend ordered one and said his is fine. If you order off eBay, might want to get 2-3 direct from China and use the best one.
Also, don't order unless you have fairly thick biceps. I don't have would I would consider super-thin biceps, about 13-14 inches, but this thing is definitely designed for someone with a 16+ inch bicep.
Just received my body glove tactic case tonight. I got it for $16 shipped off eBay. Here are some pix. I'll post a review after a day or so of using it.

Had this for my S3 and loved it. It did begin to crack by the volume rocker but it still performed 100%. I'm looking forward to getting this for my LGOG.

So after about a week of having the case on the phone, I have to say its a great case.
When I initially got it, it was TOO tight. So tight, that it would basically make my phone keep rebooting (pressing against the power button). I had planned on cutting out the section where the power button is altogether, but in the end i created too small slits on each side of the button indention. Once I did that, the case was good to go. It's a solid case. The grips on the side make it much easier to hold the phone. My biggest liking of this case is the hard plastic backing. I'm not a fan of complete rubber cases or complete plastic cases, both tend to have faults some how. But this case is the best of both worlds. The plastic and rubber sections are both in areas where its most beneficial. The case didn't make the phone too bulky either, thankfully. I think this case is only available in 2 colors, Grey & White and White & Grey (the color i have). If you're looking for a solid case that doesn't create too much bulk, then get this one. :good:

Great review. I bought this on Amazon for $22 shipped with some extra gift card money I got from work. I also bought the Kensington Virtouso Stylus / Pen for making a few notes on the QuickMemo app.

I'd like to know how that stylus pen works out for you. I'd be interesting in getting one.
^^I can't comment on this specific one, but in general these kind of stylus (with soft rubber tip) are pretty bad; I've tried a bunch, ranging from $1 to $30. They are all not very responsive (have to press hard on the screen to register sometimes) and you can feel the drag when swiping across the screen.
First things first, I love the otterbox defender. Its not too terribly large, but more bulky than I want to use every day. I put it on to use it at the gym and was going to take it off today when I realized that it will not come off. I spent a good ten minutes and then got my GF to try and nope... its still on there. I "could" end up breaking off the connecting tabs but I want to see if the GURU's on XDA knew an easy way to get the case off without breaking it. This is my first defender case. Thanks.
I was going to buy one of these but you just put me off

It is difficult but not impossible.
First, ignore the large plastic pieces at the middle of each side - those only hold the case in the belt holder, and do not snap the case together. When I first tried to remove the case, I broke a fingernail before realizing that this tab has nothing to do with removing the Defender from the phone.
The snaps keeping the case together are two on each side, and one on each end. If you look at it with the phone face up you will see that the tabs are on the top piece and lock into the bottom piece. You can use a fingernail to push in the small tab, while using another finger to gently pry open the case. Once you get the first one out it will be easier.
This case is put together like a tank, although the tabs are quite small.

Step 1: Grow fingernails, lol.
I have been trying your method, its more of a pain. I am probably going to get a tiny screwdriver to do this.
*EDIT* - I found the best way to do this was to indeed use the small screwdriver. I used a 1.4 mm and pryed it inbetween the attaching clasps. It was a few little prys and it came right off. Takes about 30 seconds of delicate work, but very simple to remove now.
As for -josh-'s post: Its BY FAR the BEST and TANKIEST case I have EVER had... I can't stress this enough. I feel like I could throw the phone at a cheating ex-girlfriend and give her a black eye all while keeping the phone super safe.
Why would you buy such a beautiful device just to put a huge case on it? If you're just going to hide it, why not go with the s4 with external sd card, battery, and arguably better software? The tabs on the otterbox will loosen up with time.

Lets see: Because some people want a rugged case for their One; I dropped mine on concrete from four feet up and it has no problems. It is super easy to access with the included belt holder. Not to mention the excellent protection for the camera housing. Last, the outer protective housing make the phone easy to grip and completely non slip, making the phone actually easier for me to use.
Actually, this phone works the best with the defender of any phone I've had, because it is so slim to begin with.
I got mine originally because it was on a huge sale and I had not found any decent belt pouches. I ordered the PDAIR horizontal pouch, but it will take a long time to get it from China. When it comes in I'll consider going to a TPU case and the belt pouch.
EDIT: Plastic does not "loosen over time". They could break, but Otterbox warranties their products.

Ya.. I agree but disagree at the same time. Cases are great for when you know you are going to be active and are at a higher risk of dropping/banging it. I go to the gym daily and know that it falls out of my pockets or gets knocked around in my gym bag. I like the added safety there and when I travel (which I do frequently as well).
If I am at the office or just tooling around the house, I absolutely go commando (well, the phone that is). I really wish Otterbox made a fully clear defender case... that would be AWESOME!

And miraculous, since it would require a transparent jelly covering. I don't think I've heard of one. The defender does not use TPU, the material is more rubbery.
Eh. I've got pretty durable teeth. Honestly I always have my charger so I pop off the rubber, poke the tab withthe prongs of my charger and it falls right off.

Yeah it was more the size of it that's off putting also it's only available to me in black.
Can anyone tell me what the difference between a defender and commuter case is? Is the commuter just smaller?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I have the otterbox commuter and it doesnt add too much bulk, but it feels solid enough to protect the phone from damage in a drop. It's very easy to install and remove. I just wish the plastic casing on the back provided more grip. It's too smooth of a surface and makes holding the phone with one hand a bit more of a challenge.

The defender also has a built in screen protector where as the commuter (I think) comes with a sticker kind of screen protection.
First time I have purchased an Otterbox case. I usually buy TPU cases. I have been using mine for Golf GPS and using it more outdoors so I decided to get a better protecting case. Plus the port covers would help keep the dirt out. Defender looked way to big but the Commuter was perfect. Putting it back up in size with the Note 2 that I just got rid of. I have really enjoyed the case thus far.

I use one of the slimmest cases available, but even that makes an already bulky phone bulkier. So, a few days ago I decided to ditch the case and see how it is naked. What a difference. The outer screen is easier to use without a rim around it, and carrying it in hand and in pocket, it is noticeably smaller. In full screen mode, I think it looks nicer, too.

I'm not handy and need a case. I will defently lett the naked (and slippery phone) fall...
Also i use a S-pen wich is in my case.
When i clean my phone/case i understand what you mean but it's t dangerous for me...
I've attached a link to the case I use. It also carries my s-pen, but I find that I don't really use the S-Pen. I suppose I'll miss it, the first time I have a need for it.

If you keep in a pocket that's cotton lined you'll get lint build up. Probably something you don't want with this device. At least turn the pocket inside out when washing.
Had that problem with my Buds+ case when kept in the front cotton lined pocket. In the 60/40 cotton/polyester thigh pocket there's no build up. It's now kept in the other cargo pocket as is my N10+. No more build up. No more port cleaning.
I’m on the “no case” team. Phone is already bulky enough… I like the feel of the phone without any case. I have a S-Pen case that came with the preorder goodies, but I only bought it for the S-Pen.
I would love having my Fold naked, but I´m not that brave, so, I use a aramid/kevlar case from AliExpress that is both protective and slim at same time: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.28.5ecf1802HDCCsX

And naked I think will feel the best but I almost had a couple close calls when it was charging and when I walked by it got hooked on me, and I'm not the biggest fan of how it likes to attract the fingerprints
Naked is best but one drop can be catastrophic!
I've been using the Samsung leather case and am used to it.
I recommend a pouch type holster in any case to carry it around regardless of being in a case or not. If naked, IMHO, it's the ONLY way to go!
I got this one for my Fold 3 and it fits all the xxl sized phones too! The lining is very soft, phone stays clean and scratch and lint free and it's not so bulky and has no hard edges to dig into you when sitting down.

Decided I wanted to protect the phone! However the Samsung case I paid 80 $ for sucked. Front screen was really frustrating.
Decided again after reading this thread to go caseless
And just like every other phone I have used in the last ten years, I put skateboard griptape on the back! It is a wonder of the world.
I suggest everyone try it
Now the phone is a joy!! Not pain in the ass
I also enjoy this app called swiftly switch. Gives me a navigation pill wherever I want. I one hand this thing in beast mode and like a Lil navigation pill in the top right for one hand navigation

It describes Flip 4 but i bought it for Fold 4, and it was amazing. Very thin, and the Fold looks like a new phone. the stock ases from Samsung are very heavy and not so recommended for the Front screen, but this one is so amazing
device too slippery if no case is on it...............I do like it better w/out one, but don't want the chance to damage it
best case for this phone is Samsung's with the stand at the back the big one. the phone is as thin as it can be and you get a tablet stand at the same time.

Best case was last years silicone case. Kept it thing and gave the phone grip with it being silicone
I go naked sometimes after dark.. o wait
I also use my fold 4 naked.. only wah to go like a hero
I would if it wasn't for the camera bump making git a rocking boat when sitting folded on a table.
Usually I do when out though I use the official grip case
I was using a i blason clear case. But that thing attracts so much of my hand oils its a nightmare to keep clean. Just handling it for 5 minutes makes eberythng nasty. Holding this fold 4 naked in my hand is just perfection.
I may return that case. Or keep it for when going outside or work.
Unless someone knows of a better clear case.
Normally i dont care if its clear. But i waited a damn month for this burgundy color and damn strait imma show it somehow lol
