If u use Advanced Configuration Tool to create custom accent, u may found that some text is missing in some application.
I found that advance config use old version(may be nodo) of "xxxx_ThemeResources.xaml" and "xxxx_System.Windows.xaml".
if who use custom accents and found that some text is missing do this"
That two file is the setting of ui found in /windows.
xxxx meaning.
xx xx
[theme][accent]
So dark & first accent is 0000 light & first accent 0100.(if u have more theme it will 03xx , 04xx, ......)
If u want to fix ur custom accent.
1.find accent number. Open registry editor go to HKLM/controlpanel/themes/accentdisplayname/ look to ur accent number and remember.
2.note ur number code "#????????".
3.find the way to copy xxxx_System.Windows.xaml & xxxx_ThemeResources.xaml from /windows to ur PC.( all xx[Some number that don't have bug]_?????????.xaml )
4.edit all ThemeResources.xaml. around line 115 will have name of color under that line will have color code replace with ur color code.
5.rename all with the right number of ur accent. xx[ur accent number]_?????????.xaml.
6.find way to copy all to /windows.
END
Ps. I use WPDM to copy file.

How Can I change the Color of the Comm Manager Screen. I don't like the default Green color and I try everything to change it but without succeed.
Thanks for your help
Wow... pointless feat.
also i would like to know it
i tryed using Resource Hacker
i opened the file CommManagerRes.dll
i exported all the bitmaps to my pc
i virated them to the blue color (see the attached file)
i imported all the new bitmap files to the dll, replacind the older one
i saved the dll into another file
So now i have the original.dll and the modified.dll
the problem is that when i copy the dll file to the device\window folder
and i restart the phone, the command manager don't open
if i replace the modified.dll with the original.dll, the command manger works correctly.
any suggestion how to have blue icon and background in command manager, instead of the green ones ?
thanks in advantage
Mario
Not sure if it will help or not but this is from my t-mobile dash. Its the commmanger.exe and dll. i have the blue one.
nice the bitmaps, but i have some problem with this versione.
In particular, when i go on comm mamager, i have the setting button....
before changing i had two menu, wlan setting, and blutooth seeting.
now i've only wlan settin, wich instead opening wlan, opens blutooth...
so, it's better to restore my file..
anyone can tell me how to solve my problem with replacing bitmaps via Resource Hacker ?

Hi,
I was wondering if there were any updates to this issue?
I too would like to have a different background in my comm manager after upgrading to wm6 (the green doesn't go with my theme )
TIA
i thank you for your help in unlocking my t-mobile pc pocket by sending me to
"http://wiki.xda-developers.com/". it worked like a charm...the next question i have is that now that i have unloked my phone and installed the rom they recommended..how do i change my themes....i synced the devices..i have them on my pocket pc..it will even show on my theme list but when i set it..nothing happens, it stays on the xda theme...please help...
you change themse by going into today in settings and choosing the theme you want
does not work
i had tried that..what happens is that it will try to change but the xda theme stays there..
is it tsk file ?
is it tsk files for your rom or lower versions?
another problem...
good news is that i got the theme to work...bad news now is that i cannot see the fonts on the main page cause the letters are black and theme is black..how do i change the font color on main page and program page and start menu..
it's a part of the theme
you need to use a theme genrator to alter the tsk file'
or get another tsk file
Does anyone know how to modify the background image for the HTC WM6 ROM build for Comm Manager and the phone dialer screen? I'd like to remove the green background with something different.
TIA.
Chris
For the background imagem try to look at \Windows folder:
HTC_BrandingBrickImg_320x27.bmp to HTC_WallpaperImg_320x240.bmp
On this 5 files you'll find the background's. But I don't know how to change the CommManager screen.. and I want it to change very bad .. this ugly green screen it's killing me .. Tmo blue screen it's so much better.
I saw in another thread that CommManager has the background images embedded in one of it's DLL's. I'm going to look into hacking it, and see if I can get the default green images changed to something different.
I believe I have found the registry locations on where to change the bitmap images for the dialer app:
Code:
Call Progress Screen
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Progress\Landscape\Other
(STRING) bmpNormal = \Windows\HTC_CallProgressBkg_320x186.bmp
Phone Application bar above number field:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSBranding
(STRING) BannerImage = \windows\HTC_BrandingBrickImg_320x27.bmp
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCdia
(STRING) BannerImage = \windows\HTC_BrandingBrickImg_320x27.bmp
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCPROG
(STRING) BannerImage = \windows\HTC_BrandingBrickImg_320x27.bmp
Download the ZIP file (which contains a blue HTC background,) extract the BMP image and use your favorite file explorer to copy the BMP image to \windows. Then, use a registry editor and change the first reg value I provided above to the filename.
You will need to reboot your device in order for the new image to be used.
That doesn't work right.
When you change the CallProgressBkg image with another in white background you can't see the call information on the screen, like call progress and contact info. Because the font color is white.
When I change back to the CallProgressBkg I got the info back. So I don't know how to change the imagem and still see the call progress info, changing the font color to black for example.
Anyone knows?
EDIT: I change it to a black image and works great!
To one attached is what I'm using right now.
I want to thank you guys, this thread was exactly what I was looking for with my Cavalier.

I'm using Ookba's 3VO.2.50.080809 with one of the included transparent wallpapers. No other change to the original download as far as I can think off.
Then I added a font to /windows/fonts (Lucida Handwriting Cursiva = LHC) and rebooted. And after reboot some of the text I see changed to LHC.
Any ideas why that is happening and how to fix?
Also, how to delete a font file from /windows/fonts (or from /windows)? When I try this message pops up: "Cannot delete file xxxx: There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use."

Click to collapse
Anytime you add a font to \Windows it adds itself to the font list. I guess your Lucida Handwriting font is the first on the list so it's gonna use it as the system font. You might be able to delete it using Resco or just rename Tahoma.ttf to yourfontname.ttf and copy it to \Windows overwriting.
My first font is _tahoma.ttf I saw the underscore trick somewhere to force it to be the first font on list... but that doesnt help.
Isn't there a way to specifically tell WM which font to use as default? A registry entry? Something? Otherwise one never knows what will happen when simply adding a font to list.
